The general difference between the growth stages is how fast the puppy grows during the period and how they appear in posture and body condition. The first stage is from birth until they are 2 weeks of age. After the second week, the growth rate slows down. Most breeders wean the puppies off around the 4th-5th week. At 18 months of age, you can probably introduce your companion as a fully developed, curious, and independent adult Boxer. Boxer puppies have somewhere between 2. At the end of the first stage, they can reach around 4. At 1 month of age, their stuffed muscle figure comes at about 5. By the time they are 16 weeks old, males weigh lbs .Male Boxers are expected to have approximately lbs .In the next six months, the growth slows down to about lbs 0. Male Boxers should weigh around lbs kg by the time they reach 6 months of age. Female boxer puppies are expected to have lbs kg when they are half a year old. Since the Boxer qualifies as a medium to large breed, it takes longer for them to reach their full-sized version compared to other smaller breeds. There are exceptions when Boxers complete the growth at 20, even 24 months. Female Boxers that are done growing up weigh approximately lbs kg and stand .Their male counterparts have between 60 and 70 lbs kg and are 23 to 25 inches cm tall. In the meantime provide quality food, regular exercise, and maintain regular veterinary check-ups to ensure their well-being. As with all other dog breeds, some adult Boxers will be smaller than the standard dimensions of the breed. On the other hand, there is a handful of those that are larger than the standard too. Genetics is the most probable cause for this. Rarely do Boxers end up being smaller than the rest due to low production of the growth hormone. Luckily growth hormone problems in Boxers are very rare and other breeds such as the Miniature Pinscher, Spitz, or Karelian Bear Dog are more prone to the condition. Growth defects in dogs can appear due to Dwarfism Achondroplasia. Minor deformities can be surgically corrected, but again with a dubious prognosis. In Conclusion Understanding the growth chart will help you understand what role nutrition, diet, and exercise plays and adjust accordingly. Getting rid of excess weight or ruling out health issues is something you and your vet can work on together. Any puppy owner knows that the first few months with a new puppy are a scary time. During this time, puppies are also extremely fragile and receptive to everything. Taking care of a young dog is obviously going to stir up some emotions and bring out your natural instincts of care and constant worry. So, is it normal for puppies to breathe fast? What if your puppy is breathing fast while sleeping? To determine whether or not your puppy is breathing too fast, we first need to understand what the normal breath rate is. For puppies, anything from 15 to 40 breaths per minute is considered normal. In contrast, adult dogs tend to take less breaths per minute, usually between 10 and .REM stands for rapid eye movement and this is also the time when both dogs and humans dream. Although puppies generally breathe faster than adult dogs, there are a few other reasons why your puppy may be breathing faster than usual. Fortunately, for the majority of the time, puppies breathe faster because of normal causes. On the other hand, some common causes can also become dangerous, if left untreated. Just like we dream in our sleep, so do puppies and dogs. More often than not, puppies breathe fast while sleeping because they dream about something exciting or even scary. Sometimes the fast breathing is also accompanied by whining and paw movements in sleep. After all, puppies need up to 20 hours of sleep a day! For example, when they arrive at their new home, away from their mama, littermates, and familiar surroundings. They might breathe faster, but also experience other respiratory issues, including struggling to effectively regulate their body temperature. In addition to that, smaller dogs often breathe faster compared to large-sized Doods. Your puppy may be breathing fast, or they might even be panting to cool down more effectively. Keep in mind that excessive heat can be extremely dangerous and even fatal for puppies and adult dogs. Also, make sure your pup has free access to clean drinking water at all times. Bonus points for air conditioning. Most commonly, we notice this in dogs and puppies who are in the middle of a vigorous playtime. So, breathing fast helps your puppy restore its oxygen levels to transport out all the excess carbon dioxide. For instance, small-sized breeds tend to get tired much faster, so do puppies. Likewise, brachycephalic dogs are at an especially high risk of overheating from hot weather or strenuous exercise. For this reason, you should never push your puppy or dog to train too hard. Is your puppy breathing fast while sleeping or did they just finish their playtime? But when is it time to consult with a veterinarian about the problem? If it becomes a persistent issue, you should contact your vet as soon as possible, as it may indicate that your puppy is struggling with an underlying medical issue. Other serious symptoms to keep an eye out for are changes in behavior, appetite loss, lethargy, difficulty moving, excessive drooling, visibly using stomach muscles to help with breathing, and making unusual sounds when breathing. When it comes to more serious cases, there are various reasons why your puppy may be breathing too fast. These include lung diseases and respiratory illnesses, such as asthma, kennel cough, lungworm, viral and bacterial respiratory illnesses, and pneumonia. Heart diseases, parasites, heatstroke, anemia, hernia, and pain can also contribute to fast breathing. Both external parasites like fleas and ticks , as well as internal parasites like hookworms, roundworms, tapeworms, whipworms, and heartworms can cause a puppy to breathe faster than usual. Although some parasite infestations are completely asymptomatic, others can come with symptoms like coughing, lethargy, loss of appetite, weakness, and abdominal pain, to name a few. Either way, parasite infestations can be extremely dangerous for your little pup, some of them even potentially lethal. Parvovirus Parvovirus is a very dangerous and highly contagious infection that spreads unbelievably easily via other dogs or by coming in contact with contaminated objects, people, or surfaces. It comes in two different forms — intestinal and cardiac — both of which can be fatal. The best way to prevent parvovirus is to have your puppy regularly vaccinated against parvo and other infections as instructed by your veterinarian. Lung Diseases If your puppy is breathing fast while sleeping, lung diseases are something that you should consider. One of the most common, yet serious lung conditions in puppies and dogs is kennel cough. Although kennel cough is treatable, it can be very dangerous for young puppies. Heart Diseases Although it might seem like heart diseases are something that only elderly dogs have to deal with, some unlucky puppies are born with genetic or congenital heart defects. Even though the heart and lungs are two very separate organs, the heart actually pumps blood into the lungs. To compensate, the lungs will try to work over time, causing a puppy to breathe faster than normal. Numerous conditions can cause anemia in dogs, including parvo, parasite infestations, cancer and tumors, autoimmune diseases, and blood loss. The most common signs of anemia include pale gums, lethargy and weakness, loss of appetite, weight loss, and, of course, faster heart rate and faster breathing. Excessive exercise, not drinking enough water, and hot temperatures can all contribute to heatstroke, which can be fatal for both puppies and even adult dogs. A helpful trick is to never overexert your puppy with exercise, especially in warm weather. Also, make sure that your puppy always has access to clean drinking water, a cool and shaded area, and you can also help them cool down with a cooling mat. You can also use pet gates to keep your pup away from dangerous items around the house. As we mentioned earlier, puppies tend to breathe faster than adult dogs. The normal breath rate for puppies is 15 to 40 breaths per minute. Anything above or below that is considered worrisome. By comparison, adult dogs take about 10 to 30 breaths per minute. Moreover, as dogs age, their respiratory rate tends to slow down. Nevertheless, each puppy and dog is unique, and only a veterinarian can help determine whether or not your puppy breathing fast is something to investigate further. One breath equals one inhale and one exhale, paired together. For example, if you counted 10 inhale-exhale movements, your puppy takes 20 breaths per minute. There are numerous reasons why your puppy might be breathing fast, most of them being completely normal and safe. Puppies usually breathe faster than adult dogs. Additionally, as 8 weeks is typically the time when puppies get to go to their forever homes, it might indicate that your puppy is feeling a bit stressed. Being taken to a new environment, with new people, and away from their mama and littermates, can prove to be quite a challenge for many puppies. The easiest way to know whether your puppy is breathing too fast is by counting how many breaths they take per minute. Typically, puppies take 15 to 40 breaths per minute. Use your phone timer and count how many times your puppy inhales and exhales this is one breath in 30 seconds, and then double the result. Like us humans, puppies dream while they sleep. For the majority of the time, yes. However, your puppy should only be breathing faster for short periods of time. For example, when they exercise, or when they cool down after spending time in heat. Panting is normal canine behavior. When Goldendoodles pant, cool air is circulated through their bodies and body heat evaporates from their mouth and upper respiratory tract. During panting, the air is rapidly inhaled, humidified, and exhaled. Not sure what to do? In non-emergencies, you can live chat with a veterinarian online by clicking here! Is Goldendoodle Panting Normal? Like any other dog, Goldendoodles only have a few sweat glands that are located on the undersides of their paws and also within their ear passages. However, these glands have minimal cooling capabilities. The number of sweat glands in dogs is inefficient in maintaining normal body temperature. Without an efficient set of sweat glands, Goldendoodles pant to cool themselves. Panting when engaging in exercise or play allows heat to be released in exchange for cooler air. Aside from physical activity, dogs may pant because they are happy and excited. You can see this in the happy wagging of his tail coupled with bright and happy eyes. Common Causes of Heavy Breathing in Dogs Excessive panting in Goldendoodles can be associated with a variety of issues that may require medication attention from a veterinarian. Some of these conditions can be expensive to treat, especially in emergency situations. This is why we always recommend dog owners have pet insurance to help cover these unforeseen costs. The problem is more pronounced in brachycephalic dogs like Pugs or Bulldogs because of their abnormally long soft palate and abnormal anatomical structures of their head and face. When a dog starts to feel a little bit warm, he starts to pant. As the body temperature increases, so does the intensity of panting. Aside from heavy panting, your Goldendoodle may also drool and their gums and tongue may appear red. Dogs suffering from heatstroke may also exhibit wide eyes and lethargy. Heatstroke is a medical emergency that requires prompt veterinary attention. Rapid panting leads to the evaporation of a large amount of moisture from the body within a short span of time. Make sure your Goldendoodle has easy access to fresh clean water, particularly on hot days. As much as possible, avoid outdoor excursions with your pooch during the hottest parts of the day. Never leave your dog inside a car even for just a few minutes. Related: Do Goldendoodles Like Snow? Excitement or Exposed to Stressors Dogs that are exposed to stressful events may pant because of anxiety and fear. Fireworks, thunderstorms, visits to the vet or the groomers, car rides, and separation anxiety are just some of the most common stressors in Goldendoodles. Exposure to any of these events can cause a dog to pant and whine. Pain or Discomfort Dogs are wired to conceal signs of pain and illness, a trait handed down from their wild ancestors. In the wild, weakness makes an animal vulnerable to predators. However, when the condition worsens, pain and discomfort can become too much for the dog to hide and telltale signs of illness are eventually manifested. These may include panting, loss of appetite, lethargy, diarrhea, vomiting, limping, and changes in behavior. Bloat Bloat gastric dilation-volvulus is a life-threatening condition that is caused by the rapid buildup of air in the stomach and the consequent twisting of the stomach on both ends. When this happens, air and other contents of the stomach are trapped inside. If you suspect your Goldendoodle may be experiencing bloat, take them to the veterinarian immediately. Large and giant dog breeds are more at risk for bloat compared to smaller breeds. Affected dogs appear to strain to vomit or defecate without any success. The stomach becomes distended and painful. Signs of shock—rapid heartbeat, pale gums, irregular or shallow breathing—soon sets in followed by collapse and death. A Full Stomach: Panting may precede vomiting. Panting may be exhibited in affected dogs. Laryngeal Paralysis: The problem occurs when muscles that open and close the larynx become weak or paralyzed. Panting may be accompanied by a high-pitched wheezing sound as a result of the dysfunction of the vocal cords. Labradors and Golden Retrievers are particularly predisposed to the problem. Photo courtesy of finleyfaith. If your Goldendoodle appears to be overheating, cool your pet down by spraying them with water from a hose and move your pet to a cool and shady spot. Offer cool, clean water to drink. It is highly recommended to call your veterinarian for guidance on what other measures to take. There may be a need to place your dog on fluid and electrolyte therapy to replace any losses. Tests may also be needed to rule out certain Goldendoodle health issues that may be causing excessive panting. Heavy Exercises Heavy exercise is also one of the primary reasons why your dog keeps panting a lot. Goldendoodles love to run, swim and play. If you keep exercising your Goldendoodle a lot, it may start panting heavily to maintain proper body temperature and coolness. So, these are some of the reasons why your Goldendoodle keeps panting heavily. Other causes may include stress, anxiety, underlying medical issues, etc. Goldendoodles will require regular grooming and upkeep. During the daytime, your Goldendoodle may be involved in physical activities that cause heavy panting. However, what if your Goldendoodle keeps panting at night too? So, your Goldendoodle might also be chasing something or engaging in strenuous activity in their dream. Due to this, they may have been panting all night. So, if your dog keeps panting at night , we recommend checking the spots where you usually put them to sleep. Another thing to keep in mind is checking the material on top of which your dog usually sleeps. If the material is too thick and warm, your Goldendoodle may start feeling hot. So, try to check that material also. See more Goldendoodle videos on our YouTube channel! Stress and Anxiety One of the primary reasons why your dog keeps panting and breathing heavily is maybe because of stress and anxiety. Dogs like the Goldendoodle or Cockapoo are highly social dogs that depend on humans for support. You cannot always precisely pinpoint why your Goldendoodle suddenly feels stressed and anxious. However, some of the significant reasons are: As Goldendoodles are loving creatures, they may be afraid of getting separated from you at night. It is usually more common if your dog sleeps alone. If your Goldendoodle is quite old , anxiety is a common phenomenon due to different physical and mental changes. This can also cause panting. Dogs are often scared of loud noises and speakers. Some dogs are also scared of unknown people. Your dog may also not be comfortable in any new environment. However, if your Goldendoodle keeps panting heavily, it can also be because of an underlying chronic disease. There can be certain diseases such as pneumonia, tumors, cancer, or other respiratory illnesses that are causing such suffering. So, try to consult a vet as soon as possible if the panting continues. Poisonous Food Although some vegetables like carrots or asparagus are okay for dogs to eat , others like onion are poisonous to dog. They may also begin to puke or have an increased heart rate. Now, this can be because of someone who may have tried to give poisonous food to your cute pup. In such a situation, it is essential to see a vet as quickly as possible to save your Goldendoodle from suffering. So, these are some of the reasons why your Goldendoodle keeps panting at night. There are various ways you can prevent your precious dog from panting a lot, such as: Check the Temperature If your dog keeps panting a lot, we advise you to check the temperature both indoors and outdoors. If you feel like the temperature outside is way too hot for your Goldendoodle, stay in rather than risking a heat stroke. In case you do, keep your dog hydrated at all times. Suitable for both indoor and outdoor use We earn a commission if you make a purchase, at no additional cost to you. Hot rooms can definitely cause extreme panting and sweating. During summers, you can even go for an elevated dog bed for your Goldendoodle. Regular Exercising and Proper Meal Plan If your Goldendoodle is gaining a lot of pounds lately, consider taking them for exercising regularly. Even a walk would do the job. On the side, do not feed extra fatty and sugary to your dog. Calm Your Goldendoodle Stress and anxiety also cause panting. So, try to soothe your little dog and calm him down. Remember that touching your dog at this time may scare them off more. You can try to distract your dog by commanding gently. You can also take your dog to their favorite spot even if it is outside just gently attach the Goldendoodle harness and let them become calm and steady. Go to a Vet If the panting condition keeps continuing, it is recommended to take your Goldendoodle to the veterinarian. Additionally, if you also feel like your dog is undergoing a heat stroke or food poisoning, immediately see the veterinarian prevent anything from happening. All dogs, including Goldendoodles, have a habit of panting to maintain their body temperature. However, suppose the panting gets too much, along with other symptoms such as severe anxiety, breathlessness, or coughing. In that case, you should definitely take your precious gem to the veterinarian. Heavy breathing causing the dog to be distressed for months on end can be a sign that a dog may, unfortunately, need to be put to sleep out of kindness. Closely monitor and visit the Vet early to help prevent more serious issues. My wife and I love playing with our active miniature Labradoodle Max. By Beth Satterfield Between puppy-loving kisses and peaceful naps, you might notice that your Goldendoodle seems to be breathing fast, and you might be able to even hear it. Is this typical of Goldendoodles, or is your dog having an issue you should be concerned about? Goldendoodles normally breathe between 25 and 40 breaths a minute. If your Goldendoodle is breathing above 40 breaths per minute in a resting position, it may be breathing faster than normal because of a health issue. If fast breathing persists, take them to the vet. To find out if Goldendoodles naturally breathe fast, we need to look at what is considered normal, as well as why dogs pant and how it relates to their breathing. Your dog may have other reasons for breathing fast, including more serious health issues. What is Considered Fast? Before we can answer the questions as to whether your Goldendoodle is breathing faster than normal, we need to look at what a normal breathing rate is. For most Goldendoodles, a normal breathing rate is between breaths per minute. Your dog may be breathing faster than normal if it is breathing more than 40 breaths per minute. However, if it is a little bit higher or lower, do not be alarmed. Just like your breathing rate changes when you walk up the stairs and throughout the day, your Goldendoodles breathing rate is subject to change throughout the day. Goldendoodles breaths per minute have been known to get to breaths per minute or more. If this is the case, see the contributing factors for very fast breathing. While humans sweat to cool down, often when it is hot or after physical exercise, dogs do not sweat. Instead, they pant to cool down, which is accompanied by heavy breathing. If your dog has been running around, barking, or the temperature is warm, they may pant and breathe at a quicker rate than normal to cool themselves off. If they are prevalent, the odds are you have nothing to worry about. If your dog is cool and rested but continues to breathe very fast or loud, you may want to look into it more. Contributing Factors for Fast Breathing If you have come to the conclusion that your Goldendoodle is breathing faster than normal, you are going to want to know why! Goldendoodles are naturally high in energy and excitement. They are energetic and love to play. Anxiety: Goldendoodles are known for being fiercely loyal. They love to be around people and love to please their masters. However, Goldendoodles are prone to anxiety , especially separation anxiety. If you leave your dog alone often, it may experience anxiety, increasing nervousness, heart rate, and breath rate. New places and people can also contribute to anxiety in your Goldendoodle. Trauma: Trauma is also a cause for nervousness, skittishness, and increased breathing rate in Goldendoodles. If your Goldendoodle has been adopted or experienced some form of trauma or abuse, this may be a large contributing factor for its fast breathing. Anemia: Anemia is a condition in which there are not enough healthy red blood cells in the body. This means there is also less oxygen and a dog will pant and breath more often to provide sufficient oxygen to the body. Other signs for anemia include pale gums, eyes, or ears, loss of appetite, vomiting, and weight loss. If you suspect your Goldendoodle has anemia, take it to the vet for treatment. Congestive Heart Failure: Fast breathing is a symptom of congestive heart failure, which is when the heart cannot pump an adequate amount of blood throughout the body. Other signs include fatigue, swollen belly, crackling sound in the lungs, and persistent coughing. This should be treated by a vet immediately and can be life-threatening to your dog. This puts dogs at risk for kidney damage, diabetes, and other illnesses. Fast breathing and shortness of breath are symptoms of this disease including frequent urination, hair loss, muscle weakness, and thinning skin. Calming Your Goldendoodle If your Goldendoodle appears stressed and is breathing quickly, try helping it calm down and relax. There are several things you can try to slow the breathing of your Goldendoodle and help it be comfortable. Goldendoodles may be able to experience less anxiety by spending time with owners, training, exercising, and giving them treats. Be gentle with your Goldendoodle and avoid punishing it. Petting your Goldendoodle and brushing it may help it feel safe and loved. Making sure your Goldendoodle gets lots of time to play and exercise will help it to be calmer at home. They must get out their wiggles! Lowering the temperature and letting them rest are also ways to reduce fast breathing. If you have tried several of these methods and your Goldendoodle continues to have a fast or very fast heart rate, you should look for other symptoms described above and take it to the vet in case of serious health conditions. They are known for their loyalty to their owners. They are very playful, active, and fun-loving personalities. But sometimes your dog starts breathing heavily and becomes lethargic. Also, their energy level becomes down. This will be stressful for the owner of the dog to understand what were the reasons behind the heavy breathing of their dog. To understand more we give here some genuine reasons. There is therefore no need to be concerned if your dog appears to be fine other than for the normal panting. If you find that your dog is heavily breathing and gets tired too early in this condition you need to be concerned about it. Goldendoodle heavy breathing symptoms Before discussing the reason we need to understand what are breathing difficulties? Breathing difficulties are a symptom of a strained respiratory system. Dogs breathe about 30 and 40 times each minute. It is a major problem if your dog begins to breathe at a pace of or more breaths per minute. Dyspnea: Shortness of breath is known medically as dyspnea. Chest and stomach motion during breathing can be seen. During breathing, the nostrils flare. Noisy breathing. Tachypnea: Breathing that is shallow and quick is medically known as tachypnea. Breathing faster than usual while keeping your mouth closed. Panting: Breathing faster than usual while keeping your mouth open. Tongue hanging out. Shallow breaths. Here, we must lower their temperature. Obesity Dogs are also prone to obesity, just as humans. In addition to obesity-related issues, other issues like lethargy, anxiety, and breathing issues are also on the rise. If they are not active and engage in any activity, such as exercise, they breathe heavily while doing it. Stress Dogs experience stress when they are separated from their owner when loud noises like thunderstorms or fireworks are made when they are in unfamiliar surroundings, or when they have a new companion with them. These factors could all contribute to dog stress. However, when a dog is under stress, their heart rate rises and their body pumps more oxygenated blood, which demands more oxygen from the system. As a result, the dog has breathing issues. Poisonous food Some foodstuffs are bad for the health of your dog. Dogs can eat carrots and asparagus without any problems, but onions are poisonous to them. It will start panting and vomiting after eating poisonous food. It will make the heart beat faster. You should take your dog to the veterinarian and treat him appropriately if he has this condition. Allergic Reactions Due to allergic responses, dogs can have breathing problems. Pollen, plants, and some chemical fragrances and perfumes have been known to cause allergies occasionally. They sometimes even develop food allergies. Diarrhea and stomach uneasiness will result. Antihistamines are an effective home remedy for treating minor allergies. If symptoms persist for a long time, you should take your dog to the vet. Treatment of Breathing Difficulties in Dogs Breathing problems can have a number of causes, and the diagnosis will determine the best course of action. However, we still have a few options that you can attempt to soothe your dog. If your dog is panting constantly, you should check the temperatures both indoors and outside. Heat stroke will result from your dog spending more time outside during the hotter days. Therefore, you must bring them inside where it is cool and provide fresh water so they may stay hydrated at all times. You must exercise with your dog and go on walks with them if they have grown indolent. Additionally, feed them properly. You must soothe your dog if it is stressed, anxious, or having trouble breathing. Sit next to them while you comfort them till they get peaceful. Go to their favorite place and let them relax. If the painting issue persists, we advise you to take your Goldendoodle to the veterinarian. Summary Breathing issues are common, but they can sometimes develop into serious conditions that require medical attention. To regulate their body temperature, all dogs have the habit of painting. This is not a major issue if the breathing difficulty is temporary and normal. We also discuss other factors, such as whether your dog is overexcited, living in a heated environment, under stress, or for any other cause. If your dog is experiencing breathing difficulties combined with other health problems including coughing, extreme anxiety, or shortness of breath. In this situation, you must take your dog to the vet.

How do you breed for a healthier English Bulldog? Like all things in life, breeding for health is simply a matter of priority. We are blind to many of the breed priorities that distract other breeders from improving the health of the English Bulldog. We focus on health and personality and very little else. We are not interested in winning a blue ribbon in the show ring. Rather, we test for things like elongated soft palates, narrow tracheas, stenotic nares, luxation in the patellar tendons, heart defects, cherry eye, optic cilia, entropion, ect. We focus and prioritize creating healthy bloodlines, therefore our bulldogs are typically much healthier than the breed as a whole. After breeding for health, what other priorities are you focused on? Our true desire is to create the perfect family bulldog. We also believe a bulldog bred for the correct personality is essential to the family unit as well. A Bruiser Bulldog is bred for intelligence and playfulness. We want our bulldogs to be full of personality and some quirk. We believe a full personality along with a little stubbornness is the true North star of the bulldog breed and is what makes the unique among other breeds. We look for these personality traits in our adult bulldogs and continue to create bloodlines that reflect these qualities. What are the steps of your adoption process if I am located in New Hampshire? Check out our available English Bulldog Puppies page. At times, we have available puppies but almost always have a waiting list as well. A quick look at our available puppies is the starting point to begin the process. I am familiar with common and uncommon health problems they may face so when my boyfriend and I decided we were ready to adopt our own english puppy finding a reputable breeder that prioritizes health was most important to us. Erica and Mitch of Bruiser Bulldogs are just that. They are experienced, ethical and quality breeders. I was referred to them by my friend that I trust after I saw their gorgeous healthy puppy. Our Puppy Primrose is the light of our lives! Bruisers was there to assist us every step of the way. We would highly recommend Bruisers Bulldogs to anyone looking for their own happy, healthy pup! Leah H. We were lucky to have come across Bruiser Bulldogs and even more so the fact that they were near our family and hometown made it even better. We have had Clementine Callie for four months now, and she is a wonderful dog. Her personality is amazing, and I think part of it is breeding and the other part is Erika and her family lovingly raising the puppies in their home with plenty of attention and snuggles. I also was impressed that, rather than send the puppies out right at 8 weeks, Erika kept ours for a few extra weeks because she was tiny and not read to leave her mom yet. It's that care that differentiates Bruisers from other breeders. Emily R. Erica was easy to work with thru the entire process from application to adopting and now beyond as we host our new family member, Chief. Her on-call support and willingness to provide open, honest advice to all of our questions and concerns continues to be appreciated. We would highly recommend Bruiser Bulldogs to anyone looking for an English Bulldog to join their family. Elizabeth W. Lady L. They are experienced, responsive and knowledgeable about all things bulldog related. They went above and beyond for us and are truly dedicated to all of their pups! We love our little girl so much and would recommend Bruiser to anyone looking for a healthy beautiful bully. Jonathan E. Erica and Mitch are trustworthy, excellent communicators, fair, passionate, and produce the best bulldogs. We were at the top of the waiting list for months and Erica reached out every litter to see if we were finally ready for a bulldog. When we were, she was very easy to work with. Her knowledge on bulldogs is outstanding. We had many questions on the process and she always knew what was best for the puppy. We've had Penny formerly Blair for two months and she is very healthy, energetic, playful, and sweet. She is great with other people and dogs. We are so happy with our pup. When we are ready for bulldog 2, we will only consider Bruiser Bulldogs. Mitch C. Bowser was born April and is an integral part of our family. When we were first exploring English Bulldog breeders our biggest concern was the overall health of the dogs. We decided to work with Erica at Bruiser Bulldogs because we liked their focus on improving the breeds breathing abilities and the fact that the puppies are raised within her family environment before coming home with their new owners. Bowser also breaths clearly and our vet was impressed with his overall health from the moment we brought him home. All that said we know English Bulldogs have a predisposition to many health issues and that his current health can not predict the future. With that In mind its important to start with a breeder that open to answer any of your questions as Erica has ours, and that strongly believes in improving the breeds overall health profile. Adam B. My sister ended up finding Bruiser Bulldogs and we knew right away that they were the breeder for us. In September we ended up driving 9 hours to pick up two Bruiser bulldog puppies- one for my husband and I and one for my mom. Jackson and Penelope have been nothing but a joy. They are both very athletic and healthy. They are also HUGE snugglers and always want to be with you. It is an absolute pleasure having these two bullies in our lives! Erica is very knowledgeable about the breed. She is very hands on throughout the process and is just overall a kind and honest person to work with. With all that being said I cannot recommend Bruiser Bulldogs enough! Collyn C. One of the reasons we chose Bruiser Bulldogs was due to the claims about breeding for health. During our first visit at our vet's office, he told us that our pup was one of the healthiest English bulldogs he had ever seen. He is healthy, happy and social. Would recommend to anyone. Christina S. We seen our dog on their website and sent them an Email. Mitch called us and personally walked us through the process and made sure we had the right dog for our family. We couldn't be happier when we picked up our dog Ramsey, Erica made sure we had everything we needed and then some. They are truly amazing people who breed truly amazing dogs! Jim T. Dog Breeding Programs The selective dog breeding programs at Cedar Valley Canine are scientifically engineered and monitored to produce superior German Shepard and Labrador Retriever lines. Plus, he has trained over dogs in the private and service dog sector. After a couple of visits with Dave, he helped us get our puppy. We sent her back to Cedar Valley Canine for training at several different occasions throughout her first year. Wow, it was SO worth it! To say she is amazing is an understatement. She has many roles in our family… babysitter, companion, playmate and exercise partner to name a few. She has won over every person she meets and I credit that to quality breeding and training. Thank you, Cedar Valley Canine! What a great experience! We had no idea what to expect from woking with a breeder always haven taken in mutts Cedar Valley has a great program, owners, trainers and of course dogs. It was clear within moments of our visit that our daughter's new companion would be a German Shepherd. We are so eager to see the new puppies and start our training adventure. My only discouragement was not having made this commitment sooner! Thank you Dave and Betsy for helping us make the best decision to suit our families need for companionship with protection! Her and our older German shepherd male get along wonderfully after just a few days of meeting. She is already quick learn commands. A very bright dog and a very sweet new addition to our family. Max Izzie liter. We have had Germanshepherds for 20 years and have never had a dog train up as quick as Ezekiel has. Excellent nerve and strong personality. Thank you Jeff and Rhonda! She is an amazing girl and is extremely well behaved with our three kids. She interacts with each of the kiddos differently in line with their personalities and is very gentle with the new born. Guest are welcomed with restrained curiosity and she soon receives lavish praises for her behavior from them. She is a very quick learner and excels in her training earning her high praises from her instructors. S Jeff and Rhonda are hands down the most knowledgeable, friendly and caring breeders I have come in contact with in my multi year search for the right puppy. Much love and respect to you! Robert Bruno From the very beginning, Rhonda and Jeff were delightful to correspond with. The day I went to pick out my boy was the happiest, scariest day of my life. From the moment I got him home, though, he proved to be one of the easiest puppies in the world. Chelsea Hi Rhonda! I just wanted to thank you for such a wonderful dog! It was such a good feeling to show other people what an intelligent and gentle breed german shepherds really are and that they are not just aggressive and mean. Thank you so much!! Claire and Brendan I just had to share! Happy Birthday to little Sophie!! We love her SO much! Thanks again. Donovan and Sarah Hey,just wanted to tell you what happened today. With isaiah my two year old boy. And Alea was in the house. She is now about 14 weeks old. And out of no were she started barking and she never barks this was the first time I have heard her bark in the house and the only 2nd time since we got her. And so I went to see why she was barking and let her outside with us come to find out there was a strange dog walking around the back of the fence. So Alea took off and scared the dog off. Isaiah was playing in the back yard and my guard was down but she knew something was wrong after she scared the dog off she looked at Isaiah and kissed him on the face looked back to Make sure the dog was leaving for sure and when she felt safe she came back to the house. It was truly a spacial moment for me to see. I now know that if the family is in any danger that she will be there to protect us. She is so smart. He is showing the signs of being protective, but also very friendly. I had to meet some people in the school parking lot one night in the dark and I walked there with Oscar. When he saw the people his hair stood up, she started barking and ran up to them somewhat aggressively. I called him and told him it was ok… his tail started wagging and he went up to them, smelled them and all was ok. They have beautiful, European style, well tempered German shepherds. They have much experience with owning, raising, and training German Shepherds and provide as much help and advice as desired. They have been so helpful and informative in the raising of my own dog. They become a part of your family, like your dog. I highly recommend talking with them as they could not be kinder, more caring people. Mike and I are so happy and are looking forwad to having a great new dog. RHonda and Jeff are the best and love their dogs very much. The first time I went to their website we knew they were special people. THeir dogs are a part of their family and you can see it in the dogs faces they are loved. We know we have made the right decision in picking them. Our first 2 weeks have been amazing! Nico is so easy to train: commands, crate, house breaking, leash walking… it seemed almost effortless! I take him everywhere. He loves car rides and shopping. People are surprised when I tell them his age as he is so calm, walks great, behaves, and of course he is drop dead gorgeous. He has made our family complete again!! This pup is healthy, happy and an excellent representative of the GSD standard. The process of the purchase was professional and well done. Rhonda is a wealth of knowledge. Love my Chloe. All of the dogs are not only beautiful, but so sweet and loving as well. They have so many high performing dogs and it really made me want to get my dog into these programs Schutzhund, advanced obedience, etc. I was originally set to get a puppy from Max and Salsa in December, but when a male puppy became available, Rhonda was so nice and asked if I was interested in taking him home earlier. He is now a year and a half and the best dog in the world. I highly recommend Schutzhund or Protection Work if your dog if really into it like Brooks. He is a true German Shepherd; he loves to work! He bought his girl from them, told me nothing but great things. I got the number and called and talked to Jeff. I made an appointment to see him and talk. I pulled up and my heart started beating faster after I walked in and saw his dogs. He asked me a bunch of questions and answered mine. After about a hour we had come to a good understanding of what exactly I was looking for in a puppy. Let me tell you, Jeff definitely delivered an excellent dog. She is nothing short or amazing. Exactly everything I wanted I got. Perfect health, beautiful and smart. They produce incredible GSDs. We have a four yr old female, Arya by Untox. She is beyond intelligent, obedient, protective and yet so gentle with children and babies. To top it off, Arya is my seizure dog. I have been training dogs for 14 years for police, fire and rescue. I would not go anywhere else for a Shepard! Jeff and Rhonda have kept in touch with me since day one when Scout was born! To this day they will send me a message and ask how he is doing or call! Scout is trained for detecting drugs and tracking. He loves to work and loves to snuggle with me! I have a rescue boxer who is deaf and Scout is her ears! Scout helps her and will wake her up when needed. Scout has changed my life for the better as well!!! I have a bad back and he will pick things up off the floor for me when asked to! I highly recommend them to anyone who is looking for the best dog they could ever have!!!! Thank you Jeff and Rhonda for Scout! He is such a blessing to have! He always will be. There was a hiccup with the purchase of our first male dog due to an issue but with the help of Rhonda we got through it and came out stronger together and we now have our handsome boy Heisenberg. A few years later we wanted to add a female into the mix and we again contacted Jeff and Rhonda. We are beyond pleased with our decision. Our female, Khaleesi, is beautiful and healthy. She is also super smart and very social. There are always two sides to every story. We could tell he cares about giving his puppies a good home. He was very easy to work with and our new puppy is active and healthy! We would definitely recommend Jeff and Rhonda if you are hoping to add a furry member to your family. Khan is my 4th German Shepherd, 2nd puppy, the other 2 are rescued. Roche was excellent from the start, very willing to help and making sure to take care of our needs in a pup as well as the pups needs for his new home. Upon meeting them we could not have been treated better as prospective dog parents for the dogs they are so passionate about. Khan is coming up on 10 weeks old and has been exploring his new world, getting to know his brother, sister and cat friends, and learning many things. We would highly recommend this breeder for not only the quality in their dogs but the over all professionalism and passion for what the do. Thank you Jeff and Rhonda we love our boy. When we found Jeff and Rhonda Roche, we were sold. Our first conversation with Jeff R. When we came to pick up our girl, Rhonda spent a ton of time with us, making sure we were as prepared as possible. Their support did not end there. He, has been by our place a number of times going through obedience basics with us, and calls in frequently to check on Mishia and asks how her lessons are going, always providing additional advice. Mishia has been boarded with Milo for the last two weeks learning basic puppy obedience, and she has come along incredibly far. In the meantime, Jeff L. Thank you again, Jeff and Rhonda. A little about Mishia: At 8 weeks we brought her home. She was basically completely potty trained from day one. She has beautiful coloring and a short coat. Her last visit to the vet at 16 weeks old she was 40 lbs. Because of him, my first gsd, I fell in love with this breed. The day he left us my heart broke and I never thought it would mend. I told myself I would never, ever, get another Shepherd. No other dog could fill my boys shoes. His gentleness, his loyalty, his devotion to Nick…. I was wrong…. So very wrong. The month of March brought Freya into the world and May she was welcomed into our family. She is such a sweet, feisty little girl who has her own special place in my heart. Until we meet again… My beloved boy. When we were ready I contacted Rhonda and she immediately invited us out to their place to meet her and Jeff and the dogs and see how they were taken care of. They took the time to answer all our questions and kept us updated throughout the pregnancy of Forma and how the puppies were doing once they were born. We got our sweet little Asher at 8 weeks and he is the best dog. Highly recommend this breeder to anyone looking for a quality companion! After losing our precious German Shepherd, Molly, on April 30, , we were so very sad and did not want to replace her, but we love German Shepherds and she had been such a sweet girl, and we wanted another one desperately. We found Rhonda and Jeff and were invited to come to their home and meet them and all their beautiful German Shepherds. We felt very comfortable with them and they were so compassionate with us when we told them about our Molly. She told us that whether we decided to get a puppy from them or not, that she would always be there for us to talk to. There are not very many people in this world today that you can count on like that and we feel very fortunate that we have them in our lives. When we decided to get a puppy from Roches, we were so excited, the months that we had to wait seemed like years and when the puppies were born Rhonda kept everyone updated with comments and pictures of the puppies and Mommies from their birth right up until we were able to take them home. He is so handsome, intelligent, has a wonderful temperment and is one of the sweetest boys ever, he gets along well with our other 3 dogs and loves everyone he meets. He absolutely loves to be hugged and kissed as much as he can get! Rhonda and Jeff are not only excellent breeders and produce exceptional puppies, but they give all their puppies the love and attention that they need right from the start which makes them the wonderful family additions that they are. We love our Hans so much and would love someday to have another Roche puppy and we would recommend them to everyone who is looking for a great German Shepherd. After a 4 hour straight drive of nonstop puppy kisses, I knew my little copilot was perfect. She loves kids, small dogs, other big dogs, my parents and grandparents. Leyna was very unlucky and got a pretty bad ear infection while her ears were supposed to be getting strong. Leyna is my best friend and is protective, but only when necessary. Otherwise, she is incredibly well behaved and learns really quickly. Overall, I lucked out finding Jeff and Rhonda and getting the perfect puppy in Leyna. I could not be happier with the situation. I had looked around and after purchasing my first home, I was finally ready to pull the trigger on a full-time companion. Jeff and Rhonda was super helpful and super patient with my long distance and night shift situation. I had an odd schedule and they worked with me so I could see the puppies and pick the one for me. As soon as I called Jeff and Rhonda to find our more about there dogs I was instantly invited into there home. Rhonda is an amazing breeder and great person. She has been there for us ever since we brought Heisenberg home in March. Not to mention they make some good looking dogs :. Heisenberg is 6 months now and he is an Untox and Ekko pup and he is one of the smartest dogs I know. Very easy to train which is good for us since we are first time German Shepherd owners. Jeff and Rhonda will forever be our friends and the only people I will ever buy a dog from. They are extremely knowledgeable about German Shepherds and are willing to do anything for there pups. I will recommend them to anyone who is interested in getting a German Shepherd. My first dog was Ginger and she was a great friend and companion. Since then I have been fortunate to have 3 German Shepherds and they were all very good dogs and I loved them dearly. He loves kids and he loves to play and he is the most intelligent dog that I have ever had in my life of 64 years. Charlie learned how to sit and shake hands in less that 2days, and he was only 4 months old. He loves to eat popcorn with my son Dustin while watching TV. Some of his favorite treats are carrots, icecubes, milk bones,Alpo Snaps, frozen popsicle sticks, peanut butter, peanuts, and his Nu-vet supplements. Of course anything that we are eating at the dining room table. Charlie pup is not just a dog-or a German Shepherd. His favorite toys are his Gator Aid bottles and his gallon milk bottles rattling with pennies. He sleeps at night with his Kong tennis ball, and when he wakes up in the morning the first thing he does after he takes his big stretch is finding his toys. Jeff and Rhonda are absolutely wonderful and have helped us with any questions or concerns since we got Charlie at 9weeks. Jeff and Rhonda Roche are diamonds in the ruff. They have been with us and supported us and helped us with Charlie since the day we brought Charlie home. They make dreams come true. Dustin and I are eternally grateful for having the privlege of being the proud owners of Roche German Shepherd. Your search will end when you contact Jeff and Rhonda Roche, and your new puppy will fill your heart with love.

What are they supposed to weigh at checkups? This is especially true if a puppy is still under 4 months old. Goldendoodle Age Chart Just like humans, every puppy grows at a different rate. However, there is an observed general growth curve. And between Mini, Medium, and Standard Goldendoodles, that growth curve varies slightly, as well. The visual graph in our Goldendoodle Sizes article shows the average weight by age in weeks per size of Goldendoodle. From the chart data we can verify a couple of things. Be sure to check out the aforementioned article to view our most recent Goldendoodle growth data. Also, if you want a prediction on how big your Goldendoodle will get, grab their weight and age in weeks and check out our Doodle growth calculator! A full grown Goldendoodle is one that has reached maturity in both height and weight. Generally speaking, Mini and Medium Goldendoodles are fully grown between months of age. A full grown Standard Goldendoodle reaches maturity between .How Big is a Full Grown Goldendoodle? Miniature Goldendoodles top out between pounds at maturity. Medium Goldendoodles weigh between pounds at full grown. Standard Goldendoodles can weigh anywhere from pounds once fully grown. Ace is a Standard Goldendoodle. How freaking cute is Ace? Be sure to give Ace and his Aussiedoodle sister Pepper a follow on Instagram! Hopefully this post helps you to envision what your full grown Goldendoodle will look like! Let us know in the comments below! Seniors — Aging Gals and Older Gents — 8 years onwards Newly Born — Fresh out the packet — 1 to 3 weeks The newly born Goldendoodle, just like all dogs, arrives with his eyes still shut, no teeth, and very limited hearing. Mama dog is their world at this time, and she takes care of feeding, cleaning, and keeping her brood in check. Newborn Goldendoodle Puppies at weeks Growing Fast — Eyes open, tails wagging — 3 to 7 weeks In this window, the Goldendoodle grows and develops rapidly. Eyes open, hearing develops, and they start to move around. Social skills start to develop with puppies expressing signs of rivalry and development of a bit of a pecking order among their brothers and sisters. Some bossier pups may grow even faster at this stage by bustling others out the way for milk! Eyes Open. At this age, they will be small and still getting to grips with things like moving around think plenty of puppy tumbles and understanding the world around them without the reassurance of their parent and siblings. Coat wise they will be beyond floof! The Goldendoodle puppy coat will be different from their adult coat and is generally a lot softer and thinner. You might get some indication of just how curly they will be if they already have a clear wavy pattern, but some can appear straight coated in puppyhood only to go on and develop glorious curls in adulthood. Time to come home. Guess what your little Goldendoodle is supercharging their development towards it circa 3 months in. They are getting bolshy, and they are teething. This means all manner of things looks good for nibbling. Whether it be a chew toy, your best furniture, or your own body parts, it can be easy to question if you bought a dog or a land shark. The good news is this too shall pass! In terms of size, your Goldendoodle will have more than doubled in size at 4 months from the little 8-week-old puppy you brought home. This should settle as their new coarser adult coat comes in. Only now will you see exactly just how curly or not your little Goldendoodle will be. Your Medium or Standard Goldendoodle will still be growing like a weed. Just like human teenagers, hormonal changes as they approach sexual maturity can send them a little bit, well…. Your obedient little pup may become stubborn overnight, or your confident little buddy becomes scared of his own shadow. Perseverance with training and plenty of patience is key. Your Goldendoodle will also have had all their visits from the doggy tooth fairy and would be expected to have gained a full set of adult gnashers by around 6 to 8 months. Teenage Tantrums All Grown Up — Adults — 18 months — 8 years Even the biggest Standard Goldendoodles will be fully grown by around 18 months to 2 years. Expect to see a leveling off in puppy energy levels which will be replaced with the stamina expected of this breed. Fully developed bones mean you Goldendoodle can begin the more adventurous pursuits such as hiking, running, and swimming for longer durations. As their growth levels out, it is important to keep an eye on feeding routines to avoid ending up with a chunky monkey which can play havoc on their joints. As an adult, it is important to maintain a regular brushing routine and grooming schedule to keep their coat in tip-top condition. All grown up! Seniors — Aging Gals and Older Gents — 8 years onwards Personally, I have a major soft spot for senior dogs and the senior Goldendoodle is no exception. This breed is known to retain their playful and loving demeanor well into their senior years meaning even though they may begin to slow down a bit after 8 years old, they will still be as loyal as ever. In later life, many Goldendoodles will experience a change in their coat coloring. It is natural for older dogs to have some thinning of their coat meaning your Goldendoodle may not appear just as fluffy as they once were. They may not run for as long, but the silver lining is plenty of extra couch snuggling opportunities. After all it is only right that the senior Goldendoodle gets suitably pampered in their twilight years for all the joy they have undoubtedly given to their humans over their lifetime. If only there was a way, they could live forever instead of 12 to 15 years! Senior Citizen.

We have both been animal lovers since we were children. There is no animal we don't love. All life, whatever you are, is precious! We both were brought up spending school holidays volunteering with our mums at a pony rescue and cats protection league. Animal Welfare is extremely important to both of us and we raise every puppy with the love and care they deserve. We are very lucky to have 3, soon to be 4, healthy children that also play a huge part in raising our dogs and puppies. You will see our children regularly on the puppy cam, playing and even cleaning out the puppies. Alex is chief puppy cleaner and gets very upset if anyone tries to help him as he likes the puppy area to be just perfect. Teaching children compassion and love is very important and we do feel very lucky that we can do that for our children with the love and care we put into our puppies. Being around animals and being able to work with them everyday is not only a passion but a childhood dream. We have worked with dogs for the last 16 years and have a very successful doodle dog grooming salon. This is where our love for Australian labradoodles was born. Out of all the dogs we groom, pedigree and cross breeds in our busy salon, we have never come across a breed of dog that is as wonderful as an Australian labradoodle. Australian labradoodles are born to be a companion, and a dog the whole family can enjoy. Having been brought up in a family that had rescue dogs, rescue cats and rescue chickens, its very important to us that our puppies and dogs are raised to the highest welfare standards, and we will campaign and help other breeders willing to work to the same high standards we have here at Willows Australian Labradoodles. Not every Australian Labradoodle is created equally, so we can't stress enough the importance of buying from a breeder that is doing all the health testing not just one test and then claiming that they are health tested and raised the puppies in a family home. As each person and family plays such an important part of having the highest welfare and the best quality dogs possible. Willows Australian labradoodles East Sussex - Fully License Breeder The proof is in the Puppies A good way of explaining how a good breeder feels is to compare ourselves to a baker. We are making the best possible cake we can! We grow our own organic ingredients, weigh out each ingredient, perfect the perfect mix and put it all together from our years of experience. Then we lovingly place it into the oven and set a timer. Your puppy will be born and raised in our busy household. Our passion is to produce wonderful family pets with gentle loving temperaments that will bring a lifetime of happiness. We are extremely proud that the foundation of our lines have been trained as canine partner dogs and many of our puppies are therapy dogs and visit schools regularly. The puppy had been born without his front legs. And while his mother didn't reject him, Nubby didn't have the strength to get past the other puppies to eat. Nubby, in other words, is in good hands. And, frequently, on a good shoulder - that shoulder belonging to Robinson's husband, Mark. Lou Robinson The couple researched all they could to find out how to keep this newborn puppy alive. They learned, for example, that Nubby would have to be bottle-fed at an incline - to make sure that the puppy formula wouldn't be inhaled into his lungs, causing aspiration pneumonia. Lou Robinson "Day three came and went, day seven, day 10, day 16 and Nubby thrived. He thrived! Nubby was sneezing. He wasn't pooping. He didn't seem to want to eat. He was blowing milk bubbles out of his nose. Lou Robinson X-rays revealed that Nubby didn't just have the dreaded pneumonia. The 3-pound pup had an "esophageal abnormality. Lou Robinson Nubby was given an IV full of heavy duty antibiotics and placed in an oxygen chamber. He struggled to breathe, but Robinson saw he "was picking back up. He was fighting," she says. He just turned 5 weeks old. Until he is a little bigger, the doctors can't probe him enough to find out the extent of his esophageal abnormalities. They don't know if they are permanent and severe, if they can be treated, or if he'll just grow out of the worst of it. Lou Robinson Robinson spends a lot of time watching Nubby. She likes the silly faces he makes while he sleeps. Then he wakes up and wants to play, play, play. She likes to think about keeping Nubby. Having him grow up to be part of Warriors Educate About Rescue. He could go to schools, and teach about animal welfare. Help kids learn that it's OK to be different. That's what Robinson's hoping for. It will depend on a lot of good luck. Nubby doesn't seem to realize that he's any different. He is smart. He is active. He is learning to do an army crawl, and is trying to get up onto his back legs by pushing off from his face. He seems frustrated - "pissed off," is how Robinson puts it - not to have mastered this move, quite yet. Nubby is "very happy, needy and rotten already," Robinson says. And be sure to follow Nubby's progress on Facebook. By signing up, I agree to the Terms and Privacy Policy. Cookie Settings. This is such a heartwarming story. His mother did not reject him entirely, but he was too weak and small to ignore his brother and sister. Because of that, he could not eat. Luckily, a woman named Lou Robinson heard about Nubby. She immediately said she would take it without any hesitation. Lou and her husband, Mark, run an animal rescue organization called the Warriors Educate About Rescue. The main goal of this organization is to teach kids how to properly take care of animals. Although Lou and Mark are frequent adoptive parents, Nubby was the most difficult dog they ever took. They bottle-fed him with a sloped slope in order to prevent milk from going into his lungs. Nubby made a connection with his new parents quickly. However, he is closer to Mark and loves to sleep on his shoulders! He prospered! The Robinsons were very cautious, but the poor pup was still suffering from pneumonia. He also had an abnormality in his esophagus. Nubby was taken to the intensive care unit and he almost died. However, the little puppy refused to give up and after several weeks, he recovered his health! Nubby made Lou and Mark so happy they decided to adopt him officially. They realized that they loved him too much to give him up. This boxer without front legs is an example that everyone should follow, if you want to be happy, just be it! Meet Nubby Bowlin, the boxer puppy who was born without front legs. At seven weeks old he's a little shakier on his feet than other dogs his age, but that's because this puppy is trying to learn to walk on his hind legs. If it was so easy to do, all dogs would do it. But just because it's hard, Nubby isn't letting it stop him playing. He was born at the start of January and it became clear straight away that he was different from his brothers and sisters. With underdeveloped front legs curling underneath him the little guy required special care from the get go — so much so that he couldn't be left with his mother. That's where Robinson came in. She and her husband Mark Bowlin took in Nubby, but they had low hopes he would live beyond his first days. The little guy, at just a few weeks old, had contracted pneumonia and scans later revealed he also had an oesophageal abnormality. His oesophagus developed a pocket which was trapping his milk, but because he was so tiny and the pocket was under his deformed legs vets couldn't tell how big of how life threatening it was. Slowly, he's starting to get used to his legs. He's also becoming a bit of an internet celebrity, which his own Facebook page set up. His happy, can-do attitude has won him more than followers. But while the odds have been stack against him since before he was born, Nubby's not giving up easy and he's not taking life laying down.

They are also very gentle animals who require a lot of exercise and simulation. They have a lot of energy in them, and in order to release it, they constantly keep themselves active. Fitness Requirements As mentioned earlier, these dogs are highly energetic, and they require some form of physical activity to keep themselves healthy. A maximum of 2 hours of exercise is required every day for these animals. Possible Health Issues Labradoodles are usually less prone to catching diseases, unlike the parent breeds. However, there are a few diseases they can catch despite their immunity. Hip Dysplasia This is a genetic condition that can be acquired from one of the parent breeds of the pup. The ball and the socket of the hip do not join properly. This can cause them a lot of discomfort, especially when walking as the ball and the socket constantly rub and grind against each other. They can treat it with surgery, hydrotherapy, or pain medications. Infections Of The Ear Labradoodles usually have very droopy ears, making it very easy for them to get ear infections. The moisture in the ears can often get trapped easily because of the droopy ears, which attract many bacteria. You can easily identify that your pup has an ear infection just by the way they contact, shake and itch their ear. It is best recommended to take your doctor to a vet at this point and get it treated as soon as possible. Allergies Of The skin Labradoodle puppies in San Diego are pups extremely prone to allergies, especially those of the skin. A skin allergy to your Labradoodle can be triggered by fleas, dust, pollen, plastic, and so on. There is no specific cure for an allergy. But your vet will definitely prescribe your dog medication that can help ease the symptoms of an allergy. Retinal Atrophy Retinal Atrophy is a condition where the retina of the puppy starts to slowly deteriorate, which further leads to blindness. Initially, your Labradoodle might have only night blindness, but if this is left untreated, it can further into blindness during the daytime as well. Although there is no cure for Retinal Atrophy, Labradoodle puppies in San Diego can easily adjust to their surroundings. They will learn how to navigate around the room as long as the furniture remains unchanged. You need to find a puppy that is friendly with your children, animals, and other unfamiliar faces. Adopting an adorable little Labradoodle is the ideal choice in this scenario, but they are also an expensive long-term investment. Inhumane breeders operating puppy mills prioritize selling their litters for profit without focusing on producing healthy pups or improving the breed. If your Labradoodle is prone to food allergies, consider reaching out to your vet about potential ingredients your pup might react to before switching to an alternative kibble formula. Create a chart for whenever you feed your Labradoodle or let them use the toilet to keep track of their daily routines. The number of times they eat and go throughout the day changes as your pup ages, so keep that in mind if you need to update their charts. Be sure to take your Labradoodle to the vet within the first few days of taking them home. Although your pup goes home with up-to-date deworming and vaccinations, additional blood and fecal testing can identify hidden issues early. Consider compiling a shopping list of supplies to pick up before taking your dog home, including puppy food, toys, a size and age-appropriate crate, and brushes for maintaining a non-shedding coat. french bulldog puppies for sale portland - I am familiar with common and uncommon health problems they may face so when my boyfriend and I decided we were ready to adopt our own english puppy finding a reputable breeder that prioritizes health was most important to us. Jim T. Jim T. Please see our Deposit Page and our Transportation Page for information on getting your puppy. We love the English bulldog temperament, physique and expression, I just personally like it to be about lbs. We find the smaller sizes are more buoyant and playful and, though still very heat sensitive, are better able to cope with life in general. Downsizing an AKC breed takes time. Our girls all come from long lines of lb. We not trying for 20 pounders…our goal is to have healthy, beautiful babies that consistently mature at lbs. If you see a puppy that tugs on your heartstrings please call, or go to our deposit page for more information. In the last few years it has become clear that most people would prefer their puppy to be transported using our White Glove transport or Nanny Flight transport. Today, we have requests for our Puppies from all over the country. Because of this, the majority those requesting a Sugarplum Bulldog Puppy have also requested transport to their area of the country; those in Florida, for example, cannot easily make the drive to RI. As such, the majority of our Puppies have shifted to a transport model; this gets them closer to their new forever home. Because of this, we have come to the decision, that for the well being of our Puppies and for the benefit of our new Sugarplum Bulldog owners, we have developed a transport model for our pups using our Puppy-Mobile with direct transport to the pups new Forever Home! Our Mid-Western breeding home is co-owned by Sugarplum Bulldogs, and our partner. I realize that not having a chance to play with the Pups is disappointing to some, but please understand that our team are dedicated to the highest level of care for our little Pups. We truly feel that this new model is in the best interested of our Puppies and their new homes. Please feel free to ask me any questions…. Questions about Bulldog puppies for sale in Seattle WA? Ary is always available to help answer questions of give advise and loves to keep up with his pups as they grow and beyond. In researching, we found Ary and the Olde English breed and could not be happier with the decision to get Bruce. Ary was incredible throughout the process, explaining everything we needed to know about the breed and the process of importing him into Hong Kong. He checked in with us several times before the flight and was in constant contact via text when we went to the airport to pick up Bruce, who arrived a little skeptical of his new surroundings but perfectly healthy and happy. The extent to which Ary cares about every one of the amazing dogs he sells is clear through his attention to detail and willingness to put in any extra effort to make sure his puppies get to, and stay in, good homes. He took to his kennel training and potty training so fast! In searching for our puppy, we did our due diligence researching online and then visiting your property in person.
