In essence, house training is about creating good habits while avoiding bad ones and for the speediest success you want to start immediately. Actually, it would be best if you changed to a chain or prong collar long before this becomes an issue. Remember, it is always easier to fix problems when they are small rather than waiting for them to become huge problems.
