There are two of us here at Puppy Love. This enables us to have several dogs in our breeding program and still ensure that each one gets the love and attention they deserve. We raise our dogs in our homes where they are part of our busy families. We both have five kids each who help to love and train our dogs and socialize the puppies. When we purchased our first Australian Labradoodle about 12 years ago, we were surprised to find that everything we had been told about this wonderful creature called the Labradoodle was true! They are friendly and fun loving, making them a wonderful family pet for children as well as adults. They are highly intelligent, easy to train and very intuitive, making them great for animal assisted therapy. We have sold many puppies over the years for therapy purposes to families who have kids or adults with special needs and also for therapy use in health care or educational settings. They truly are amazing animals and they will have you wrapped around their little paws before you know it. We breed only true Labradoodles or the Australian Multigenerational Labradoodles. We do not breed any early cross labradoodles or any labs to poodles as we have found that there is not enough consistency in temperament as well as coat. We like to be able to ensure that all of our puppies will have great personalities combined with fleece or silky soft coats that are allergy friendly. Not all Labradoodles are Created Equal! Our labradoodles are members of our families and have really enriched our lives. We want to bring them, a wonderful family pet and companion to your home. If you have allergies and have previously been unable to enjoy a dog for a pet, our puppies are the perfect choice for you. We only breed pure Australian Labradoodles. Because these are multi generational dogs, they have a much better, hypo allergenic, very little to non shedding coat. Most of the early crosses have a tendancy to shed. With multigenerational Labradoodles you get the benefit of may years of selective breeding by the breeders that started it all in Australia. In terms of Labradoodles, you really do get what you pay for! We are not a kennel. Our Australian Labradoodle puppies are hand whelped in our home and spend the first weeks of their lives in our Master Bedrooms where they and the moms feel the most safe and secure. At 3 weeks they move into the main living area of the house. From here they can see and hear just about everything that goes on in our homes on a day to day basis. Our children, who range in ages from toddler to young adult help to love and socialize the puppies until they are ready to be adopted and go home with you. Puppies raised in this environment make the best pets because they have been given the best possible start. They will enjoy running with you, swimming with you, they are great at fetch, highly intelligent and easily trained. When you are all done playing, what the Labradoodle enjoys the most is a nice, warm cuddle with you! Start your summer off in the best way possible by adding a new puppy to your family. Get out and enjoy the beautiful season with your new best friend! Contact us for details. Testimonials Our experience with Puppy Love Labradoodles has been a very good one. Right from our first call from Darice asking us all kinds of questions about our home life so that she could decide if we were the right people to purchase one of their puppies. We could not be happier with Darice and her family's professional and caring help. No questions have gone unanswered. We would not hesitate to buy another puppy from them. Contact Details. She just celebrated her 4th birthday on February 1. She is smart and cuddly and loved by everyone who meets her. We absolutely love her and she makes us laugh every day. She weighs 25 lbs now and 19" at the shoulder. The picture was taken Christmas Day with our kitten, Tika — they are the best of friends. Thanks again for our wonderful puppy. He is my shadow all day while it's just us :. We have so much love for our goofy guy! His best days are when it has snowed. We sure love him, and he is growing so much, I look forward to the days when he has grown out of his puppy habits though, LOL. Anyways, all is well and he is doing wonderful. Take care. Ron Calgary, Alberta What a gentle and exceptional doodle Casta that we have enjoyed as part of our family every day! Tim Medicine Hat, Alberta Hello! Judith Calgary, Alberta We bought our fabulous dog from you Farley and today is Farley's 8th birthday. He remains a healthy 31 pounds and is happy and healthy. The amount of love he accepts is astounding and our lives are so much richer because of him. Thank you for helping to bring him into our lives. Family raised with love and laughter for a happily ever after. We are not a kennel. Aside from being intelligent, smart, and loyal, this coat quality is often why they are so highly sought after. Many families will find success with this breed, where other breeds have failed. Puppy Selection I am proud to be a breeder that allows families to choose their own puppy. After raising puppies for more than 13 years, I have never felt the need to allocate puppies to families. On occasion, a family will ask me to pick their puppy for them and I always provide guidance as to personality differences between puppies within a litter. If I feel that a chosen puppy will not be a good fit for a family, I will tell them. Health Guarantee Davidson Doodles is proud to be able to offer a 3 year health guarantee on our Australian Labradoodles and a 2 year health guarantee on our Bernedoodles. Meet the Davidson Family! As a family, Australian Labradoodles were love at first sight for us. Labradoodles have proven to be the ideal family pet for us. I currently live in SW Edmonton. I am dedicated to raising healthy and sound Multigenerational Australian Labradoodles and Australian Bernedoodles. Dogs have always been a huge part of my life. Growing up our family had a maltese poodle, Sam. When I began living on my own, I got my first dog, Jamie. Bailey joined my small family shortly thereafter. My first experience with an Australian Labradoodle was as a guardian home. And the love was instant. Their non-shedding, allergy friendly coats make them ideal family pets. Their goofy personality, loyalty, intelligence, and gentle demeanor were traits that needed to be shared with dog lovers everywhere. But it had to be done right.

Legal and Ethical Issues Merle bulldogs have become increasingly popular in recent years, but there are several legal and ethical issues associated with breeding and owning these dogs. Breeding The breeding of merle bulldogs is a controversial topic in the dog breeding community. Merle is a dominant gene that can cause health problems when two merle dogs are bred together. While responsible breeders will avoid breeding two merle dogs together, some breeders continue to do so for profit or to produce more merle puppies. This practice is unethical and can lead to significant health issues for the puppies. For example, in Australia, merle Chihuahuas cannot be bred due to their association with health problems. In many countries, there are also increasing calls to restrict breeding dogs with extensive health issues, including popular breeds like the Bulldog and Pug. Even in countries where merle bulldogs are legal, there are ethical considerations to take into account when owning one. Merle bulldogs may require more health care than other breeds due to their predisposition to certain health issues. Additionally, some people argue that breeding merle bulldogs for their unique coat pattern is unethical, as it can lead to health problems for the dogs. Overall, while merle bulldogs can make wonderful pets, it is important for breeders and owners to consider the legal and ethical issues associated with the breed. Yet, every year, countless Bulldogs end up in shelters or with rescue organizations due to various reasons such as abandonment, mistreatment, or overpopulation. While the allure of a puppy from a breeder can be tempting, there are numerous compelling reasons to consider adoption instead. By adopting, you give one of them a fresh start filled with love and care. Combat Overpopulation: By choosing adoption, you become part of the solution to pet overpopulation, reducing the demand for puppies bred purely for sale. Save Money: Adoption fees are often less than purchasing a puppy from a breeder. Additionally, rescue Bulldogs are typically spayed or neutered and have their vaccinations up-to-date, saving you those initial veterinary costs. Support Responsible Care: Rescue organizations often provide necessary medical care, behavioral assessments, and training to ensure that your new pet is healthy and well-adjusted. Photo from Pinterest Blue Merle English Bulldogs get along with children, so they make great family pets. A Blue Merle English Bulldog is a black dog but the merle gene lightens their original color. Random parts of the black coloring are diluted to a bluish-grey shade. Some Blue Merle English Bulldogs have a primarily gray-blue coat with a couple of black patches. Without the merle gene, this breed would have a solid black color. Personality Blue Merle English Bulldogs are brave and reliable dogs who love to have fun. One of the best things about them is that they are easy-going. This breed is happiest when they are being petted or just relaxing together with their humans. However, they can be quite obstinate. You may need to coax them to do something. Blue Merle English Bulldogs respond well to training techniques that use positive reinforcement. Since they are strong willed, it is easier to encourage them with rewards than forcing them using violence. They are intelligent dogs that love to learn however, because they cannot do a lot of physical exercise due to their build, you have to keep their mind engaged and busy. Socialization is also important for this breed. Bulldogs were originally bred for fighting, so some of them can be cautious of other dogs. Your dog will be confident and relaxed around other pets and people. In fact, you might have a hard time getting your dog to walk. This breed is perfect for those who are too busy to walk their dog every day. They are ideal for families that have other pets such as cats. Look for signs of unpleasant odor or tooth decay that could point to tooth or gum problems. You also need to keep the folds of their skinclean and dry because they can be susceptible to infection. Inspect their neck folds and facial folds as well as the folds around their tail base. You can use a damp cotton wool to remove any debris or dirt you see. Their tail should be cleaned as well, especially if it is screwed. By keeping their folds dry and clean, you can prevent skin problems from developing. By doing so, you can reduce their risk of gaining weight and developing joint problems. Feeding Blue Merle English Bulldog Puppies One of the most important things to keep in mind when feeding this breed is to change their food brand slowly. This will prevent them from having an upset stomach. Change their food completely the following week. Feed puppies 3 times a day for the first 4 months after their arrival. You can feed them 2 times a day once they turn 6 months old. At 12 months, they can be fed once a day. They should be given a well-balanced diet. Make sure that the first 1 or 2 ingredients are meat, followed by veggies and grains. If your pup develops skinproblems, vomiting or other symptoms of food intolerance, you should talk to the vet to determine the real cause of the problem. Chocolate, chives, garlic, onions, alcohol, avocado and nuts are harmful to dogs. It is also important to watch their weight. Since this breed can gain weight easily, you should monitor their body condition score. A dog whose weight is normal has a tucked abdomen. His ribs can be felt, but not obviously seen. A dog that is underweight has an excessive abdomen tuck and his ribs can be easily seen and felt. Watching them fight leaves you confused and bewildered. Here is how you can keep your German Shepherd from aggression towards other dogs and why they might be attacking other dogs in the first place. Why does your German Shepherd attack other dogs? German Shepherd aggression towards other dogs may seem like it comes from out of nowhere. Dog-on-dog aggression is one of the most popular problems that many owners face 1. One of the steps to helping avoid dog attacks by your German Shepherd is to figure out why your dog attacks. Here are the most common motives if your German Shepherd attacked another dog. Lack of Socialization One of the top reasons why a German Shepherd attacks other dogs is poor socialization skills. When German Shepherds are puppies they naturally interact with their littermates throughout the day, allowing them to learn the right social behaviors when in a pack with other dogs. Social play between puppies includes rough play, biting, nipping, and other forms of normal expression. They Display Dominant Behaviors Contrary to popular belief, true dog dominance is quite rare. However, if your German Shepherd is dominant they may try to assert their power over other dogs by being aggressive towards them. Keep in mind that some German Shepherds lack social skills and might not be really dominant. Too Much Excitement Around Other Dogs Another reason dogs attack one another is that one dog may have too much excitement or energy. This means that the dogs are more prone to become overly aroused during initial meet-and-greets or even casual play. When this happens, your German Shepherd may resort to showing aggressive behavior to calm the other dog or protect itself. Such behavior may present as nipping, lunging, growling, or even biting. Territorial Aggression When Other Dogs are Around If your German Shepherd attacked your other dog then your other dog may have gotten too close to a prized possession. Some highly valued possessions that cause your German Shepherd aggression towards other dogs may be: you a favorite dog bed or spot to lie another dog they favor potential mates especially if the other dog is female and in season or toys, such as bones, treat chews and any other prised toys around Your German Shepherd may feel the need to protect these resources and become confrontational or attack your other dog. Unknown Health Concerns Some owners overlook taking their German Shepherd to the vet when their German Shepherd is aggressive towards other dogs, but this should actually be your first step. Especially if your German Shepherd attacks your other dog living with you. If your German Shepherd is usually a sweet, mild-mannered dog, then a vet visit is in order to rule out any underlying medical or health problems. A normally happy-go-lucky GSD that becomes easily provoked or irritated may be experiencing a health issue that you might not notice. This could range from something as small as a torn nail to other major medical complications that require immediate treatment. How do you get your German Shepherd to stop aggression toward other dogs? Preventing dog attacks is a priority to avoid any damage your German Shepherd may cause other dogs or the people around trying to stop the attack. Consider the following to help your German Shepherd with better behaviors around other dogs. Instead, stay focused on signs that your dog is about to become aggressive to other dogs or attack them. German Shepherd Aggression and Attack Warning Signs Do you see any signs on this list of your German Shepherd reacting with aggression towards other dogs? Watch out for signs that your German Shepherd is getting ready to attack another dog. So have a plan of action in mind, such as crossing the street safely to avoid another dog walker or choosing a new route to take your dog for exercise. Give your German Shepherd the chance to choose a good behavior, instead of adding to their stress and causing them to attack unnecessarily. How do you get your German Shepherd to stop their aggression and attacking other dogs? It can be tough to stop dog attacks once they start, but there are plenty of things that you can do to prevent an attack from starting. The following techniques help to prevent your German Shepherd from attacking your other dog. Use rewards to increase positive behaviors around other dogs. Counter conditioning teaches your German Shepherd that it will receive good things when other dogs are around it. You might think that training your Shepherd this way would reinforce bad behavior, but counter-conditioning creates a powerful positive connection with other dogs. This strong association outweighs their bad behavior. Whenever your dog is around other dogs they might show aggression to, offer them small bits of cooked bacon or the Ferrari of training treats… Set aside special treats that you only give your dog when other dogs are nearby so your German Shepherd makes a strong connection between the treat and giving you their attention. Apply desensitization training. Another way to keep your German Shepherd from attacking your other dog is to begin desensitization training. Then, start at a farther distance from other dogs when you try again. Offer your dog a reward when they look at the other dog and look back to you. You can show them the treat or place it in front of their nose and draw the treat back to you to move their attention to you so they focus on you. Start by rewarding your dog for not showing aggression when it sees other dogs, and gradually build up to rewarding your dog for getting closer to other dogs. You must reward your German Shepherd for displaying good behavior before they have a chance to become aggressive or attack another dog. This means you need to avoid asking for large increases in their actions. Ask for competing behaviors. In order to ask for competing behaviors, your German Shepherd must know a handful of basic German Shepherd commands. You can learn a variety of useful cues to give your German Shepherd by starting your GSD obedience training at home. Before your German Shepherd has a chance to become aggressive, have them perform the cue you give. Then, offer their reward. This, in turn, distracts them from the other dog momentarily while also giving them another, more positive, option to perform. Use the right walking tools for more control. Remember that a dog sometimes attacks or acts aggressively when they feel threatened, and they can exert great amounts of power over you. An aggressive or fearful and reactive German Shepherd can pull you down the street, knock you to the ground, or even hurt your wrist, arm, and shoulder. Dogs that are aggressive to other dogs tend to lunge with great force. Use the right equipment to walk your aggressive German Shepherd and regain more control over them, if needed. This includes: Attaching a short lead to them at all times outdoors. A padded handle short dog leash gives you more power when your dog reacts badly by shortening the distance between you and your dog. This gives you greater stability and control. Using a head collar instead of a regular collar. Some owners prefer to use a head halter, or halti, on their dogs. These humane headcollars allow you to guide your dog away from danger more easily by attaching to their heads, but they do require time for your dog to adjust to using them. See the best head collars for your German Shepherd to help them stop pulling. Having more control over a powerful German Shepherd that becomes aggressive is a key step in keeping to a walking routine safely. The right walking tools allow you to walk your dog in more comfort and with more confidence. Never allow yourself to lose control of your dog or they might escape and show aggression towards other dogs, or even attack another dog. Discipline your aggressive German Shepherd in the right way. While your first instinct might be to harshly punish your German Shepherd for showing aggression, this could make matters worse. Avoid getting them more worked up by not using harsh reprimands or physical violence or force. Your job is to help your aggressive German Shepherd not encounter any stressors by anticipating what they react to and avoiding it. Get the right amount and type of exercise. Some German Shepherds that have attacked other dogs are in need of the right amount of exercise in addition to the previous training. Exercise also decreases stress and anxiety and can give your GSD a positive outlet for their energy. Try a few different ideas from this German Shepherd exercise routine to offer your dog the opportunity to try something new. Plus, if your German Shepherd is acting aggressively toward other dogs, you might find yourself neglecting their walks out of anxiety or fear. So, give them exercise in other ways to keep their stress levels low. For these dogs, there are different management techniques. New dogs need to acclimate themselves to one another in neutral territory. This is asking for a fight! Instead, take them on long walks on a leash outside of the home for initial meetings. Spend separate one-on-one time with each dog. This gives them the attention they crave while decreasing any chances of jealousy while the dogs are together. Feed your dogs in separate rooms or in separate crates. This also lets them develop a positive association with their crate. Never leave toys out unsupervised. Keep higher value chew items like bones, rawhides, and antlers put away. Only give them to your dogs when they are physically separate from each other. If one of your dogs guards its toys, figure out which toy it is and eliminate it from your toy selection. Physically pet and praise your dogs equally. Your dog will associate the punishment with the other dog and with you. This breaks down social relationships. One of your dogs could seriously injure the other! Thinking this is just a one-time thing could put your dogs in danger when they attack each other again. This means you use rewards, such as treats, toys, or praise, to encourage your dog to respond and behave the way you want. Not only does training give you a more reliable dog, but it gives your dog a way to help ease their stress and to bond with you in positive ways. Use a scientifically-based dog training program that you can use from the comfort of your home. Your aggressive German Shepherd might also benefit from these scientifically proven German Shepherd enrichment ideas. These activities can not only increase your bond but help your GSD to focus on you more and provide them healthy, safe outlets for their energy. Safety is your number one priority for you and your dogs. Stay patient and positive. Training your German Shepherd to stop acting aggressively toward other dogs is not something that you can fix overnight. It requires consistent training and a plan of action to help avoid future problems. Follow these tips to help you and your German Shepherd avoid aggression towards other dogs or other dog attacks. It is better to pick a different breed for your first owning experience. Training a German Shepherd — top 10 quick tips Begin training and socializing your puppy early — at around eight weeks old. Teach your puppy basic commands. Take your German Shepherd puppy to obedience classes from a young age. Get your puppy used to you touching its ears, paws, and tail. This will make vet visits easier as it gets older. If it is a family pet, you should make sure your puppy recognizes other humans as authority figures — not just one person. Do not shout at or mistreat the dog — this can lead to the dog biting or behaving aggressively. Interact with the pup while it eats and add food to its bowl. Teach it that people are not a threat to its food supply and address any food aggression. Keep your puppy active with plenty of exercise and training. Be calm, confident, and consistent in your commands and behavior. Be patient. Even an intelligent breed like the German Shepherd will not learn everything immediately. Usually, German Shepherds are extremely loyal and will be friendly around their owners, sometimes even being overprotective. However, there are also examples of German Shepherds attacking their owners. This risk can be minimized through proper training and bonding. But how should you react? Our guidance is broken down into two categories to establish how to survive a German Shepherd bite and what to do after an attack. Stay away if possible! However, if an aggressive dog does approach you, DO NOT: make any sudden movements, run away, turn your back, or make eye contact. If the dog loses interest, back away slowly. If the dog attacks, use something as a shield. Wrap your arm in clothing and hold that out in front of you if you have nothing else. Let the dog latch onto something other than your flesh. Call for help. Try not to put anyone else in danger, but you might well need help to escape a sustained German Shepherd attack. Stay on your feet and fight back if needed. Fighting back should be a last resort because it can make a dog attack more ferocious. If you are left with no other options, hit or kick at sensitive areas, and use anything you can as a weapon. Dogs are most dangerous when their victims are on the ground. If you are knocked off your feet, protect your neck and extremities. Get to safety. Climb to an out-of-reach high point if you can, such as the top of a wall or a car. Even better, put a solid door or wall between yourself and the dog. After a German Shepherd Attack First aid or medical treatment. If you have been bitten by a dog, you will need medical help. Assess the severity of your wound and decide whether hospital treatment is needed. Call the police. File a detailed report of the incident with officers. Be honest and detailed — do not downplay the severity of the attack to protect the dog or owners. Document everything. Take pictures and videos from the scene. Take pictures of your injuries. Golden Retrievers have a long double coat that will shed a little year-round and will be heavier twice a year as the seasons change. Brushing a few times a week and daily brushing during seasonal shedding along with a bath as needed is usually enough for at-home care. You will want to go to the dog groomer for a professional trim a few times a year, especially as the seasons change. Nail trims once or twice monthly keep nails from growing too long. Daily tooth brushing, along with cleanings at the vet when needed, is ideal. Golden Retrievers are one of the most active dog breeds. Daily walks plus some playtime, time to run, and other activities are usually enough to keep these dogs happy and healthy. But, they are high-energy dogs that will likely always be up for more activity if you are. Much like the Labrador , they also tend to have an extended puppyhood. They tend to start winding down a little around the age of 3 and settle into your lifestyle, but they will still be high-energy dogs that require a lot of daily activity. Goldens are known for being versatile and athletic dogs. They tend to love swimming. Once they are done growing and the vet clears them for higher-impact activities, you can try other things too. They are one of the dog breeds that make good running partners. You can also teach them how to play frisbee or play fetch. Training for dog sports is another good option. In addition to obedience, Golden Retrievers are well suited for agility, dock diving , rally, flyball, tracking, and more. Fully-grown Golden Retrievers usually stand inches tall and weigh pounds. Golden Retrievers generally live for years on average. With their intelligence, eagerness to please, and gentle disposition, Golden Retrievers are versatile working dogs. In addition to being one of the dog breeds that make the best service dogs , Goldens can be found working as emotional support dogs, certified therapy dogs, search and rescue dogs, military dogs, police dogs, animal actors, and more. Our Australian Labradoodles are multigenerational, meaning both parents are Australian Labradoodles. Australian Labradoodles are very people focussed, they have a strong desire to please. Australian Labradoodles come in 3 sizes, miniature, medium and standard. Within my breeding programme I concentrate on miniature and mediums. We provide a 2 year health guarantee but we ask that our puppy families not give ingestible flea and worming treatments. But, unfortunately, there are so many organisations only in it for the money, charging exorbitant prices and neglecting the health and wellbeing of their puppies and dogs. One of the most obvious signs of an unethical breeder is the poor or neglectful treatment of their puppies and breeding dogs. An ethical labradoodle breeder in Australia will; Strive to find the right home for their puppies. Instead, they go above and beyond to make sure they find the perfect home for each puppy. Usually, the search involves asking potential buyers a range of questions about their home and lifestyle, so they can pair families with a puppy that has a temperament right for them. Provide the highest quality care and living conditions. Ethical breeders ensure that both the puppies and breeding dogs have premium quality care, including comprehensive health checks, socialisation, and training. Rehome adult dogs. Once the female is retired, she is de-sexed and either adopted by our internal staff or a loving family. Never separate the puppies early. Puppies Downunder waits until the puppy is ten weeks old before we allow them to join their new family. Meet and exceed all the necessary requirements. We comply with all codes and requirements set by the Domestic Animal Act, actively assist with inspections of our facilities, and have received approval from the Chief Veterinary Officer of Victoria to operate as a Commercial Breeder and the Minister for Agriculture. The breeder should be asking plenty of questions. A puppy is a long-term commitment, so ethical breeders ask plenty of questions to make sure the buyer is the right fit for the puppy. Here are a few examples of questions you can expect to hear; How much space do you have? Will you be home often? How often will you exercise the dog? Do you have kids? Do you have other animals? Where will the puppy sleep? They should encourage you to visit the breeding facility. When looking for Australian labradoodle puppies for sale, you need to make sure the breeder will allow you to inspect the facility and meet the parents. You can also ensure the dogs and puppies are raised in clean, high-quality conditions by visiting the facility. The Puppies Downunder team understands that not everyone can come and visit our facility, so we have plenty of photos of both the breeding facility, puppies, and dogs online. The breeder should try and find out the address the puppy will be living, the details of the new veterinarian, and any other relevant information needed to ensure the puppy is being well looked after. Your breeder should have organised the first two vaccinations, microchipping and worming and parasite prevention, before going home with their new family. At Puppies Downunder, we go above and beyond, providing a complete medical history. We also provide you with information about their individual dietary requirements, socialisation, registration, medications, and required vaccinations. An excellent ethical breeder should be vetting potential buyers to find the right family for that specific puppy. Is the puppy cheeky? How much exercise does the dog need? Unfortunately, a lot of unethical breeders will understate or flat out lie when telling buyers how much exercise their new puppy will need. For example, people looking for a labradoodle for sale in Australia might be told they have a moderate activity level, which is accurate. However, they may be given the same advice for bordoodle, which is wildly inaccurate for this high-energy, restless dog. Can you provide references? The breeder should be able to provide you with references from a veterinarian and previous customers. We offer lifelong support. At Puppies Downunder, we continue to provide support for our customers throughout the lifetime of their puppy. Do they offer a guarantee? At Puppies Downunder, we provide a health guarantee for the first 21 days of sale. Do they provide the essentials to give the puppy the best start to life? Dogs are our passion, and we dedicate 24 hours a day, seven days a week, to their care. In fact, we have the highest ethical standards of any dog breeder globally. We absolutely adore mini labradoodles, and we take advantage of any opportunity to share our love of them with others. What Is A Mini Labradoodle? Their beautiful, calm temperament and high intelligence make mini labradoodles ideal candidates for therapy pets and service dogs for individuals with autism, PTSD, diabetes, and other disabilities. How big do they grow? A mini labradoodle will typically grow to cm in height and around kg in weight, so they stay relatively small. From elderly couples to families with small children, the mini labradoodle will fit right in. Do mini labradoodles shed? That all depends on their coat. If a mini labradoodle has a wool coat, the tight curls will catch any dander, fur, and dirt, thereby minimising shedding and reducing allergies. However, wool coats are high-maintenance and require brushing every day. It all depends on the type of coat your mini labradoodle has. Fleece and hair coats are very low maintenance, but wool coats are pretty high-maintenance. They have a pretty moderate level of activity, and they enjoy minutes of exercise per day as well as playtime and mental enrichment. Are there any health concerns we should keep an eye out for? Mini labradoodles are a crossbreed, so they have very diverse genetics making them less likely to develop genetic diseases. They may also develop hip or elbow dysplasia if over-exercised or overfed. Labradoodles have adorable long ears, but this means they are prone to dirty ears and ear infections, do their ears need to be checked regularly. From birth to 8 weeks, puppies benefit from valuable socialisation time with their siblings and mother. However, not crate training your puppy may be doing more harm than good. We suggest introducing your puppy to their crate throughout their first day, enticing them with treats and making sure they associate the space with positivity. Open the crate door throughout the day, so your puppy can retreat to their safe space whenever they feel the need. Make sure your puppy has a separate area to go to the bathroom at night. Puppies Downunder are an ethical mini labradoodle breeder, and we take great pride in our high-quality breeding facilities and our commitment to providing a safe, comfortable home for our dogs. They have incredibly high intelligence and need to be kept mentally stimulated; otherwise, they can become bored, stubborn, and destructive. Dogs with high intelligence love a challenge, and they love working for their food. You can either purchase puzzle or interactive feeders such as snuffle mats or Kong toys, or you can create your own DIY slow feeder bowl. We suggest having a few different puzzles in varying difficulty levels, so your puppy is always mentally stimulated at dinner time. The labrador retriever in your labradoodle will have an instinct to retrieve, and the poodle side will have an instinct to hunt, so try to incorporate these traits into games. Silicone licking mats are a fantastic way to keep your dog entertained. Smear some peanut butter, wet food, or baby food on the mat and pop it into the freezer. Once frozen, get it out and give it to your puppy to lick for a refreshing summer treat. You can buy or make plenty of toys that encourage your puppy to solve a problem before receiving treats as a reward. For example, grab a muffin tray, some treats, and some tennis balls. Put treats in a couple of the openings and block them all with tennis balls. Your dog will need to snuffle and work out which balls have treats underneath. Cut a slot in the bottle and fill it with food or treats, and let your dog bat it around to get the treats out. Dogs who are allowed to sniff and explore on their walk are far more stimulated than dogs that just walk. Dogs are our passion, and we dedicate 24 hours a day, seven days a week to their care. Labradoodle Puppy. Their adorable curly fur and expressive faces make you want to cuddle them — and these little guys love nothing more than a good squish. All this and more makes our labradoodle puppies for sale one the most in-demand in our center. Activity-loving families adore these dogs for their propensity towards sports, and anyone who prefers low-shedding pooch benefits from their wooly or fleecy fur. Labradoodle puppies for sale are so cute and come in such a wide range of colors that it makes choosing your new best friend super-hard! While spearheading the Royal Guide Dogs Association of Australia breeding program, he conducted the crossbreeding of a standard poodle and Labrador retriever in view of it being a hypoallergenic guide dog for blind people. The first example of this type of dog, called Sultan, went to live with a lady in Hawaii, where other breeders saw him as an inspiration and this is how Australian Labradoodle puppies started. Both the International Australian Labradoodles Association and the Australian Labradoodles Association of America are working hard to incorporate more intergenerational breeding so these dog breeders can register this type of dog as a purebred dog. Its gentle, obedient and intelligent personality combined with a hypoallergenic coat make it ideal for family members with allergies, but it also makes an excellent service or therapy dog. Labradoodle Puppies Lifespan When properly taken care of, healthy dogs tend to live anywhere from 10 to 13 years. The lifespan of our Labradoodle puppies for sale is slightly above average at 12 to 14 years. Here are the life stages of multigenerational Australian Labradoodles: Puppyhood: First five months Adolescence: Between five months and two years Adulthood: Between two and three years Middle age: Between seven years and 10 years Senior: Over 10 years Labradoodles need the most attention and care in the first and last stages of their life. During puppyhood, their minds are highly impressionable, which is ideal for training. During their senior years, Labradoodles are more susceptible to health problems, which means owners need to keep a watchful eye. Labradoodle Size The size of labradoodle puppies for sale directly relates to the size of their parents and which generation of breed Labradoodle breeders chose. The larger the puppies, the larger the adult dog will be, and the faster their growth will be coming out of the puppy stage. A standard labradoodle puppy will weigh from pounds by the time it reaches two months of age. By a year old, it will have grown dramatically to up to 80 pounds, depending on the size of its parents. Medium Labradoodles occupy a spectrum of sizes between standard and mini Labradoodles, with the specifics depending heavily on the details of the breeding pair that birthed them and the breeding program they come from. Labradoodle Puppies Temperament While Labradoodle breeders originally bred the Australian Labradoodles as therapy dogs, their fun, friendly personalities made them popular pets. Now you can find these sociable dogs in homes across the globe. Here are some of the top personality traits of our Labradoodle puppies for sale. They tend to do best in active households where they can work off all that pent-up energy. You can fulfill their needs through the following activities: Walks or jogs: Labradoodles make great walking companions and can even keep up with you during a jog. Playing in the yard: Enjoy a game of fetch with your furry friend in the yard or just let it loose on its own. Dog sports: If you stay active through sports, consider making your labradoodle a part of your routine. Bring it on bike rides, go for a run together or kick a ball around in the yard. Obstacle courses: Set up an obstacle course for your dog using household items. Scavenger hunt: Creating a scavenger hunt for your canine is a great way to exercise its body and brain. In general, Labradoodles need anywhere from 30 to 60 minutes of exercise a day. You can also enroll them later at a Labradoodle puppy alumni school for proper training. Friendliness What makes Labradoodles the perfect puppy compare to other dog breeds is their ability to get along with just about anyone. They inherit this trait from their Labrador retriever parent, a breed also known for its outgoing nature. You can trust your labradoodle to form friendships with everyone, from children and older adults to strangers and other puppies. Thanks to their affectionate, sociable personalities, Labradoodles make great pets for first-time owners, families, or anyone looking for a companion. Intelligence Thanks to their poodle parent breeds, Labradoodles are incredibly intelligent dogs. Because Labradoodles are intelligent, they often crave mental stimulation. Labradoodle Puppies Grooming Our Labradoodle puppies for sale have a variety of coat textures that dog owners enjoy, but in general, their low shedding coat needs brushing at least twice a week. Not only does this keep them tangle-free but it also removes excess debris from their coat, keeping them fresh and hygienic. Regularly trim the hair around their eyes and in between their paws to prevent these problem areas from causing irritation. Pooches with fleece coats tend to have longer fur and benefit the most from going to a professional groomer — although every dog loves getting pampered once in a while. Life Span Did You Know? A Labradoodle is a popular designer dog breed. It is a cross between a Standard Poodle and a Labrador Retriever. This designer dog breed originated in Australia around .The main goal of the Labradoodle was to create a hypoallergenic guide dog for people living with disabilities who were also allergic to dog fur and dander. Now, they are still a popular choice for service, guide, and therapy dogs and are also a popular companion dog. Labrador Retrievers and Poodles are both friendly, gentle, intelligent, and affectionate dog breeds. The Labradoodle tends to be similar. They are open and friendly and crave human attention and affection. They are happiest when they are with people. Labradoodles also tend to have an energetic and playful personality. They get along well with children, other dogs, other pets, and strangers. They are alert enough to bark or let you know when someone is at the door, but they are not generally good watchdogs or guard dogs as they are more interested in making friends. A Labradoodle is a highly adaptable dog breed. They do very well in homes with space to run and they can adapt well to apartment living as long as they are given plenty of exercise and mental stimulation. They also do well in most climates. As with any dog breed, they are sensitive to extreme heat and cold. Because they enjoy being around people, they do not generally like to be left alone for long periods of time. They can also become bored if not given enough attention, exercise, or mental stimulation, which can result in destructive behavior. This dog breed is generally healthy, but they do have the chance of inheriting common health conditions from both of the parent breeds. Some health conditions to be aware of include elbow and hip dysplasia, ear infections, progressive retinal atrophy, hypothyroidism, and epilepsy. Good breeding practices can reduce the likelihood of passing on many of these health issues. Be sure to talk with the breeder about the genetic history of the parents and ask to see any health clearances; this can help allay potential health concerns. A Labradoodle tends to be eager to please and highly intelligent, which makes them highly trainable. They are a good fit for dog owners of any experience level. As with most dog breeds, Labradoodles respond best to training that is consistent and uses positive reinforcement. There are some grooming tasks that are common to every dog breed. When it comes to coat care, it can vary with a Labradoodle. Poodles have a low-shedding coat that is also high maintenance in terms of brushing, trimming, and professional grooming. Labs tend to have a higher shedding coat that needs minimal brushing and grooming. For the most part, a Labradoodle will have a low or non-shedding coat that will need to be brushed a few times a week. But, they can have a higher shedding coat should they take after their Labrador parent. You may also need a few professional grooming sessions throughout the year. Nail trimming once a month is usually enough to keep movement comfortable and prevent longer nails from snagging on things. Proper dental care for your dog will help prevent gum disease and tooth decay. Drop-down ears are more prone to infection because floppy ears are more likely to trap moisture, dirt, and debris. This will make grooming throughout their life a much more enjoyable process for both you and your dog. It can even become a bonding time for you both as well. Labradoodles tend to be high-energy dogs. They require a few daily walks plus some time to run and play in order to stay happy and healthy. They certainly love to play and you may tire out before they do sometimes. They may calm down a little as they get to be a couple of years old, but they tend to be quite energetic as puppies. Going swimming with your dog , taking a hike with them, going on a trip to the dog park, playing a game of fetch, and more are all great supplemental activities to ensure your Labradoodle gets plenty of exercise. You can even train them to compete in dog sports like dock diving, flyball, agility, obedience, and more. A fully-grown Labradoodle will usually stand between 21 to 24 inches tall at the shoulder and weigh between 50 and 65 pounds. Labradoodles generally live 12 — 14 years. However, it did not become popular until when the mix was specifically bred to create hypoallergenic guide dogs. Featured Labradoodle Article.

We have a dog from that we got from you 5 years ago, and we think he is a beauty! You can judge for yourself. Thank you. I look forward to hearing from you. She is such a sweet, smart loving girl! We love her so much! Thank you! Our family feels whole again! Annie, the pup we got from you late last March has turned out to be absolutely everything we had hoped and lots more. Having had goldens for every one of my sixty-six years, my standards are high, and I have had several world-class bird dogs. She is as mellow and easy going as a dog can be but given the scent of a bird and she is ALL business. She is smart and biddable; I just could not hope for a better dog. Grateful in Chelsea, VT. Chelsea, VT .I would add that it is quite unusual to find a Golden from show stock, regardless of how good that stock may be, and have the dog be as good as Annie is. I am not new to this game. She is as fine a dog as I have had for a first-season dog. Watching her learning curve has been astonishing. These are profoundly serious level dogs. Annie is not overshadowed by these dogs at all. All the best, - mm Madison is doing great!!!!!! Everyone had to hug and kiss her. She really is quite adorable. Our Daughter, Son-in-law and 14 month old granddaughter are coming in tonight for the weekend to meet her. I am anxious to see how the babies get along. Our granddaughter loves dogs. They also bring their sweet 4 yr old cat, too. I'll keep you posted, maybe even some pictures. I see all the puppies are spoken for. They are truly special. She is such a sweetie!!! You did such a great job crate training her. Our Nikki loves her. I just bought a new camera today and am charging the batteries now. I will send you a couple of pictures of them together when it is finished charging. She is loving our home and her new Mommy Sophie! We lucked out last night and found a big bag of Royal Canine at Pet Smart, along with many new accessories last night. Many thanks. He is growing so fast and gets smarter everyday. We have so much fun with him. My husband was so surprised and happy I gave him Odie for his birthday. I wanted to update you on Brandy. She's doing really well! She's actually sleeping and snoring on the couch right now - she's claimed her corner of it. She's very smart and friendly. She had completed Puppy Basic and we're in Intermediate Class now. She's very good with children and with my grandparents. My grandfather absolutely adores her, and she walks very slowly with him while he hobbles along on his cane. I sent some photos so you could see how she's grown! She is wonderful - thank you so much. We adopted Abigail from you the end of last February and I contacted you during the summer about a male puppy, well we are now ready. We are looking for a light, big and blocky male. We were interested in the males you just had, but were not quick enough! So, we were wondering if there might be any puppies fitting that description that might be up and coming. We are certainly willing to wait for the puppy. Please let me know if you might have anything available in the near future. Thank you so much! I always enjoy checking out your web site - your Christmas puppies were beautiful. I don't know how you manage to get them in such great poses - your photography is superb. Our Oliver is a very calm and affectionate Golden - we are enjoying him so much. He was a little upset on the ride home, which is understandable, but as soon as he arrived and met his two year old sister, Mitzi Maltese who likes to play every bit as much as he does, all else was forgotten. They have a ball together and wear each other out. He goes to the door whenever he has to go, which is every twenty minutes, and comes when he is called without hesitation. His training starts in earnest this weekend since he is a very smart dog. Instincts run deep. This morning he met our 16 year old cat for the first time, and his reaction was to freeze and point. He held the point for a good two minutes as the cat sized him up and then retreated to a safe loft to think it over. He is a great dog! Below is the announcement to family and friends with pictures. But it's a start. We already have about fifty pictures of him. Thanks for the picture of his mother. I have just moved it into the hard drive and will incorporate it into Montana's CD album. If you ever have a chance to get a picture of his father, we would love to have that as well. It was a pleasure meeting you, and we will stay in touch with pictures as he grows which is by the minute. Hope all is well with you, and quietly hope that you do not get out of the business. You do a great service. Stay in touch. What a wonderful dogso gregarious and affectionate. I wish I had a dollar for every time someone told me how handsome he is. As you may recall, this is my first dog ever and I am completely happy I made the decision. Coby was house trained in two weeks, so he is both smart and good-looking!! Keep up the good work. Frank Happened to visit your site last night and saw that you have a litter of puppies from the same parents that had Gem she was Caroline and I decided to send you some photos so you can see how well she is doing. We have had Gem for nearly 2 years now and, as you can see from the photos, she is a huge part of our family and my children love her so much. She is a very sweet natured dog and has never shown any signs of aggression to people or other dogs. She is so beautiful, people stop me to compliment her all the time. I was interested to see the photos of her parents again, now that she is an adult. I can definitely see a strong resemblance to her father, and from what I recall you telling me about his personality, it seems that she has a good share of that too. Thanks for helping us get such a wonderful dog. She is such a love. She wants to be wherever her people are. We ask where is Gracie? Thank you for a wonderful dog! She is an absolutely wonderful dog and we are loving her to pieces! We live on The Cape and she goes to the ocean to play on the beach every morning and goes walking on the dog trail every afternoon with her best friends Gracie GR and Ella Australian Shepherd and swims in the pond after. The family behind us recently got a puppy about Madison's age, a cross between a beagle and border collie. They play every chance they get. Madison weighs about 66 lbs. She jumps on everyone and licks faces; we are working on that. I have been following your website and all the pups are adorable! Thought you would like this picture. He's a great dog. Very lovable and very smart. Thank You. Shes doing great. Fully house trained, obeys commands sit, paw, stay, etc and is absolutely adorable! She loves people, especially little kids and is gentle and good natured. We love her! Thanks for getting us together! Sonny is doing great! He is such a perfect puppy, he is well on his way as far as potty training and is an angel in his crate at night, we don't hear one peep out of him. We are having so much fun with him and he seems really happy. Thanks again, I will send you a couple of pictures in a separate email. Thank you for our wonderful doggie! She seems to love her new big yard in Austerlitz and is having a ball following us around the house. Today we drove back to Brooklyn and Lily was promptly greeted with a friendly hello from the neighborhood dogs. One was a Goldendoodle and the other a Labradoodle, and together all three were a gorgeous golden color, what a beautiful sight! Lily is also enjoying her Brooklyn backyard and for now seems to have enough room to run around. She likes exploring the different floors of the house as well. Our cat seems to be taking her presence in stride and we anticipate that they will get along well after they become accustom to one another. Thank you for sharing your abundance of knowledge and providing us with an amazingly beautiful, calm and sweet puppy. He is a great dog and very social. I will keep you in the loop and send you some pictures as he grows. We took him out on the ocean yesterday to start to get him use to being on the water as our family spends allot of time there. He loved it and actually slept on the ride back!! Thanks again Dave and Amy, We will keep you updated with pics. These pictures are on his first birthday June 23, .People around watching me with him were just amazed how beautiful and smart he was for his age. We have him in agility and he is amazing. Odie is very smart, has a sweet personality and always has love and kisses for everyone he meets. Oh, he loves to watch golf on television with his daddy. If anyone is looking for a great Golden Retriever puppy they need to think about getting one of your puppies. A few accidents but we're working with him! He's been so much fun and we're looking forward to him being part of our family! Thanks again for everything. Love to see more, we are loving Cooper so much. Let me know. .Warm Regards, Denise. He has been such a joy and it has only been two days. I have been meaning to email you and give an update on our life with Stanley we renamed him Odie after seeing that name on your website before we bought Stanley, we loved the name. I know you remember us, so heartbroken over the death of our Jack. We still are, of course, but Odie had come into our lives and brought so much joy. He is the best behaved puppy, so mild mannered, never EVER barks, so loving and happy. He is very smart and learns so quickly. He has brought us so much joy already we cannot imagine life without him! I wanted to thank you for your patience with us, and thank you for providing us with such a perfect beautiful Golden, we love him so much. I have attached a photo of him, he is adorable, and a photo of him with his brother Max, our 10 year old Cocker Spaniel. Odie loves his brother very much!! Breeders VS. The sad truth is that many pet store purchased pups actually come from puppy mills. Basically, there is zero authenticity with pet stores. When it comes to adopting any animal from a pet store, there is an increased risk of unforeseen health or genetic problems. You also cultivate a life-long relationship with the breeder, meaning support is available to you anytime you may need it. With My Golden Retriever Puppies , you have the option to come and visit both the puppy and the breeder in person! Golden Retrievers are an adaptable breed, meaning they are better at adapting to seasonal changes and various types of climate than certain other breeds. Goldens sport a double-coat, which ensures that these sweet pups are able to tolerate slightly colder temperatures than their friends from other breeds. Your pup deserves better than that, which is why here at My Golden Retriever Puppies , we ensure high-quality care is taken of your pet at all times. For more about the true price of a golden retriever puppy, you can read our full price breakdown here. Location Information for Massachusetts Customers Our home office is located in Ohio, but we understand that long-distance travel can be inconvenient. If you prefer to meet a breeder in person, they may be able to offer private visits at their home. Of course! Here at My Golden Retriever Puppies , we value family and authenticity, which is why we always guarantee our pups through our 2-year genetic health guarantee. Like adopting a Golden Retriever from a pet store, there is an increased risk when adopting a pup from a rescue center or shelter as well. For example, pups purchased through a shelter or rescue center are far less likely to come with the kinds of health guarantees and reassurances that a breeder can provide. We have been breeding since .We are proud members of the Golden Retriever Club of America. We have litters a year. Our dogs are vital members of our family and all live with us in our home, not in kennels. We participate in different venues depending on each dog's needs and talents -- including obedience, tracking, rally, hunting, showing and therapy work. Butternut Hill seemed to be a fitting name for us. We live on a hill at the base of Butternut Mountain, with our butternut colored Golden Retrievers, who love to eat butternut squash. This is not a profit business for us. It is hobby of passion and labor of love for the Golden Retriever breed. Through our breeding program we strive to promote the health, temperament, workability and the beauty of the breed by adhering to the Golden Retriever Breed Standard as defined by the Golden Retriever Club of America. We feel it is important to retain the ability of the Golden Retriever to be multi-purpose. Each breeding involves in-depth research into the parent's pedigree, genetics, health history, longevity, structure, work ability and temperament. We adhere to breeding practices as recommended by the Golden Retriever Club of America. Our Puppy Raising Philosophy Our puppies are born and raised in our home. We pride ourselves on providing a wholesome enriching environment with an strong emphasis on socialization to get puppies off to the best possible start. Carmen Battaglia. Besides the important interaction with their mother and littermates, daily handling by us, additional enrichment activities begin at a very early age. Our socialization include exposing them to a variety sights, sounds, smells, tastes and touches, which we feel allows them to better cope as an adult dog. Our puppies get to experience a variety of footing such as blankets, sheets, wood floors, tile floors, decking, carpeting, short grass, long grass, concrete, gravel, puppy agility equipment and sometimes snow. They are exposed to toys of all shapes and textures. They get to experience a variety of sounds from our household on a daily basis -- humans conversing, big dogs playing, television or radio playing, vacuum cleaner, washing machine, clothes dryer, dishwasher, front door slamming, etc. We believe in providing a variety of challenges such as climbing steps, going through a tunnel, playing follow the leader, learning to come to a whistle. We trim the puppies nails weekly. When the puppies are old enough, we begin the foundation for house training by taking the puppies outside as soon they wake to relieve themselves. All of our puppies are nurtured as part of our family pack. As they mature they interact with our adult dogs and household cat. The pups are exposed to car rides and short field trips to new safe experiences. And if the season and weather allows -- an opportunity is given to the puppies to go for a swim in a clean, quiet Vermont pond. These activities will help give the puppy a chance to experience new things and meet new people. Care should be taken that these controlled experiences are positive, and do not the put the puppy in a risky situation with unknown dogs. We recommend staying away from dog parks, especially until your puppy has become fully vaccinated. Waiting to Spay or Neuter your Golden Retriever In our puppy contract you agree to allow your female Golden Retriever to have one heat or to wait to neuter your male Golden Retriever until after years old. We have many repeat customers and referral customers. We also breed dogs which become service dogs. NEADS places a high premium on these qualities because our assistance dogs need to be structurally and psychologically sound in order to assist someone with a physical disability. Our program places dogs with those who can benefit from both the functional and emotional support the companions provide: picking up a dropped article, opening a door and holding it open as the client passes through in their wheelchair, retrieving a bottle of water from the refrigerator, and many other tasks. Many of these tasks help people who have limited dexterity or mobility. Our rigorous standards are based on 35 years of experience training assistance dogs for those with a physical disability, autism or hearing loss. These qualities begin with a breeder who pays attention to quality breeding and early development practices. I am familiar with common and uncommon health problems they may face so when my boyfriend and I decided we were ready to adopt our own english puppy finding a reputable breeder that prioritizes health was most important to us. Erica and Mitch of Bruiser Bulldogs are just that. They are experienced, ethical and quality breeders. I was referred to them by my friend that I trust after I saw their gorgeous healthy puppy. Our Puppy Primrose is the light of our lives! Bruisers was there to assist us every step of the way. We would highly recommend Bruisers Bulldogs to anyone looking for their own happy, healthy pup! Leah H. We were lucky to have come across Bruiser Bulldogs and even more so the fact that they were near our family and hometown made it even better. We have had Clementine Callie for four months now, and she is a wonderful dog. Her personality is amazing, and I think part of it is breeding and the other part is Erika and her family lovingly raising the puppies in their home with plenty of attention and snuggles. I also was impressed that, rather than send the puppies out right at 8 weeks, Erika kept ours for a few extra weeks because she was tiny and not read to leave her mom yet. It's that care that differentiates Bruisers from other breeders. Emily R. Erica was easy to work with thru the entire process from application to adopting and now beyond as we host our new family member, Chief. Her on-call support and willingness to provide open, honest advice to all of our questions and concerns continues to be appreciated. We would highly recommend Bruiser Bulldogs to anyone looking for an English Bulldog to join their family. Elizabeth W. Lady L. They are experienced, responsive and knowledgeable about all things bulldog related. They went above and beyond for us and are truly dedicated to all of their pups! We love our little girl so much and would recommend Bruiser to anyone looking for a healthy beautiful bully. Jonathan E. Erica and Mitch are trustworthy, excellent communicators, fair, passionate, and produce the best bulldogs. We were at the top of the waiting list for months and Erica reached out every litter to see if we were finally ready for a bulldog. When we were, she was very easy to work with. Her knowledge on bulldogs is outstanding. We had many questions on the process and she always knew what was best for the puppy. We've had Penny formerly Blair for two months and she is very healthy, energetic, playful, and sweet. She is great with other people and dogs. We are so happy with our pup. When we are ready for bulldog 2, we will only consider Bruiser Bulldogs. Mitch C. Bowser was born April and is an integral part of our family. When we were first exploring English Bulldog breeders our biggest concern was the overall health of the dogs. We decided to work with Erica at Bruiser Bulldogs because we liked their focus on improving the breeds breathing abilities and the fact that the puppies are raised within her family environment before coming home with their new owners. Bowser also breaths clearly and our vet was impressed with his overall health from the moment we brought him home. All that said we know English Bulldogs have a predisposition to many health issues and that his current health can not predict the future. With that In mind its important to start with a breeder that open to answer any of your questions as Erica has ours, and that strongly believes in improving the breeds overall health profile. Adam B. My sister ended up finding Bruiser Bulldogs and we knew right away that they were the breeder for us. In September we ended up driving 9 hours to pick up two Bruiser bulldog puppies- one for my husband and I and one for my mom. Jackson and Penelope have been nothing but a joy. They are both very athletic and healthy. They are also HUGE snugglers and always want to be with you. It is an absolute pleasure having these two bullies in our lives! Erica is very knowledgeable about the breed. She is very hands on throughout the process and is just overall a kind and honest person to work with. With all that being said I cannot recommend Bruiser Bulldogs enough! Collyn C. One of the reasons we chose Bruiser Bulldogs was due to the claims about breeding for health. During our first visit at our vet's office, he told us that our pup was one of the healthiest English bulldogs he had ever seen. He is healthy, happy and social. Would recommend to anyone. Christina S. We seen our dog on their website and sent them an Email. Mitch called us and personally walked us through the process and made sure we had the right dog for our family. We couldn't be happier when we picked up our dog Ramsey, Erica made sure we had everything we needed and then some. They are truly amazing people who breed truly amazing dogs! Jim T. Free Bulldog Puppy Starter Kit! The neck should be solid; shoulders should be well muscled and well defined. Elbows should be in line with the dog's shoulders and feet. It is a controller and retriever of the roughest livestock, even in wetlands. It suffices as an all-around hunter from treeing squirrels to bears. A very old and extremely rare breed in its true form, the WEB is a medium to large dog bred as an all-around farm and stock dog, specifically for protection of such. It is loyal and fiercely protective of its master, the master's family, property, livestock and especially the children. As with all dogs, be sure you are this dog's true pack leader , and it will be submissive to its handlers. The WEB is not bred to be a hunting dog, though it suffices adequately. Height, Weight Height: Females 20 - 24 inches 51 - 70 cm Males 21 - 25 inches 53 - 63 cm Weight: Females: 55 - 85 pounds 25 - 39 kg Males 65 - pounds .Living Conditions Living conditions are described as those for a farm dog: large, open areas with free run. Most do not do well in kennels or indoors. These dogs need to work and perform their duties. Exercise Needs a job to do. If the dog is in between jobs, for example, between hunting seasons, it needs to be taken for at least a long daily walk. Life Expectancy. Protein Chicken, lamb, turkey, beef, fish, yogurt and cooked eggs Builds and repairs muscles and other body tissues. Needed to make new skin cells, grow hair, hormones, enzymes and more. Carbohydrates Oats, brown rice, potatoes, and whole wheat Source of energy for dogs and supplies glucose needed by the brain, nervous system and other critical organs for normal function. Fat From meats and oils such as olive or sunflower oil, fish oil, canola oils among others Responsible for providing quality energy, growth and development. Supports the function of body cells, nerves, muscles, and tissues. Minerals Calcium, potassium, sodium, magnesium, iron, zinc, etc. Common functions include the formation of bone and cartilage, nerve and muscle function, fluid balance regulation, the transportation of oxygen in the bloodstream and hormone production. Water Water Hydration is critical in dogs. Ensure they have water available throughout the day. Vitamins A, B, C, D, E, and K Keeps skin and coat healthy, strengthens bones and teeth, and gives them the overall energy that they need to function. Typically, English Bulldogs thrive on a diet for medium size dogs. For instance, a White English Bulldog that weighs 50 lbs will typically require calories per day. You will need to split the total daily calories into different meals throughout the day—usually, 2 or 3 cups per day of or calories each. Other Nutrition Health-Related Tips To help with allergies and coat problems, White English Bulldogs sing a couple of squirts of fish oil to their meals will provide relief and nourishment to keep their skin and coats in good condition. Eye health is critical in this breed. Daily eye care bites like Zesty Paws Eye Supplement and dog eye drops for long-lasting corneal protection and hydration can promote good eye health for your four-legged buddy. They need only a moderate amount of exercise. White English Bulldogs need between 20 to 40 minutes of exercise, brisk walking and playtime daily are ideal. The best environment for Bulldogs to exercise in is in temperate climates as this breed overheats fast. They also get agitated much quicker than other dogs and can have breathing difficulties when excited. So, avoid strenuous exercise. English Bulldogs are not built for that. Low to regular-intensity exercises and a healthy diet will keep your Bulldog happy and healthy. Swimming may be risky for English Bulldogs because their bulky body and short limbs make swimming much more difficult. You will need to supervise them if you want them to swim. Mental stimulation is also crucial. But, if you are dedicated to training your Bulldog, they can learn tricks and commands. It just takes them more time to learn. Puppy training classes are highly recommended for English Bulldogs. There are two essential training aspects you should focus on from a young age with your English Bulldog. They are moderate shedders, so keeping their coats clean free of dead hair and tidy is essential. Deshedding Frequency English Bulldogs shed more than average twice a year, in spring and fall. During these times, use a de-shedding brush to prevent excessive shedding and keep your house hair-free. Bathing your White English Bulldogs once a month or every six to eight weeks is probably plenty. You can give them another bath if they smell or get super dirty. A crucial part of bathing your Bulldog is washing the wrinkles on its body and face. You need to keep these skin folds clean and check them regularly to ensure the skin is clean and dry, as food, dirt, or moisture can get trapped and cause irritation or infection. Use a wrinkle paste to clean the wrinkles. Never use it near the eyes. Clean the area under the tail as well. This could cause skin irritation, and frequent baths could damage their coat and trigger skin allergies. Look for a shampoo that is gentle and moisturizing for sensitive dog skin. Are bulldogs afraid of water? Only needs a quick bath? Waterless dog shampoo is a great alternative to bathing. Clean their ears weekly to prevent infection, excess moisture, or wax build-up. Oral Care English Bulldogs suffer from a condition known as underbite or canine malocclusion aka dog underbite. Dogs with this condition often develop excessive tartar, trouble chewing, calculus build-up, and other oral health-related issues. Adding a dog dental treat will also help keep their pearly whites in good health. If we want to put this into perspective, a German Shepherd or Labrador takes fewer than 5 repetitions to learn a new command. However, other tests revealed English Bulldogs have high adaptive and instinctive intelligence. They can learn just as much as your average dog with the proper training and conditioning. Due to the wide-ranging and severe pre-natal health risks affecting English Bulldogs, artificial insemination and cesarean sections are often required. Litter sizes tend to be small and have congenital diseases such as flat chests with splayed legs, anasarca water babies , and cleft palate. Although some English bulldogs enjoy reasonable health, their lifespan is shortened by the potential medical conditions they are prone to. If you are a White English bulldog Breeder, you need to be aware of some of the most common health conditions affecting the English Bulldog breed and do your best to breed such issues out of their bloodline. Ensure the female and male come from healthy bloodlines and wait until they are two years old and after their second heat cycle. They need the proper time to recover. You should expect a litter size of between 3 and 4 puppies. You have two options: breeders or adopting. Here are some of the best places to find White English Bulldogs for sale and what to look for before you get one. White English Bulldog Breeder A reputable breeder should be able to provide the following: Record of health testing i. Avoid breeders who are unwilling to disclose any medical records, refuse to accept credit card payments, use stock photos, and seem uncooperative. Try meeting the puppy in person before buying. The first place to look is your local breeder in your city or state. The best place to find White English Bulldog puppies for sale is online or on social media. Here are two breeders that can jumpstart your search:. Caring for wrinkled skin Does Color Change Temperament? But the truth is that there have been no conclusive studies proving such myth. A dog who is properly socialized, exercised and trained will more likely than not grow up to be happy, healthy and well-behaved. White English Bulldogs often are happy, calm companions despite their sometimes fiercesome looking faces. They have a loyal nature and do well with families and other household pets, although they can be protective over toys and food. English Bulldogs are eager to please, which makes training them quite a fun experience. They love making their people proud and learn best with positive reinforcement such as food and praise. This wide-mouthed breed can also be known to chew, and the habit can be destructive to furniture and clothing. White English Bulldog Health Lighter colored coats have been known to correlate with congenital deafness in dogs. A squat build, squishy face and curled tail can all lead to trouble. This can cause respiratory distress, excessive panting, snoring, heat intolerance and more. They are also very prone to dental, eye, joint and back problems as a result of their build. You can opt to bath him occasionally with a high-quality dog shampoo. But be careful not to bathe him too often or too little, as doing so can cause an imbalance in his pH levels and result in skin issues. Skin Care Brush the English Bulldog at least two or three times a week to help keep loose hair at bay, and help stimulate healthy skin and fur. Cute, signature wrinkles on your English Bulldog need to be cleaned regularly. The goal is to avoid the risks of debris buildup, which can lead to irritation, skin issues, and infection. You can keep the folds in your English Bulldog clean by using an unscented baby wipe or grooming wipe. Wipe him down two or three times a week during his regular brushing. Of course, like all dogs, the English Bulldog needs his nails trimmed regularly to keep them from cracking or splitting. His ears should be checked and cleaned often to keep waxy buildup, moisture and debris from leading to ear infections. Consider A Shelter Dog English Bulldogs are best suited for more experienced dog owners who are aware and prepared for the severity of their long list of health issues. We also recommend that, instead of buying from a breeder, owners opt to adopt an adult English Bulldog from a shelter. Adopting an adult white English Bulldog can give you a better insight into any health problems he has. This will likely lead to fewer surprises both financially and emotionally.
biden german shepherd puppy - Life Span Did You Know? Although a mixed breed can take on any combination of traits from the parent breeds, Lhasa-Poo tend to be friendly, affectionate, and playful dogs that are loyal to their families. This designer dog breed is a small dog with a big heart. They tend to be social and bond closely with their families. They tend to have a sweet, friendly disposition and a playful, energetic personality. They tend to get along well with children, other dogs, and other pets. Because their small size makes them susceptible to injury during accidental rough play or falls common to younger children, they are a better fit for older children who know how to interact appropriately with a dog and can handle them gently. As with any dog breed, socialization and training early on are important and the same is true for the Lhasa-Poo. They do make alert watchdogs, but they tend to be friendly dogs, so they do not tend to make good guard dogs. They can be prone to barking, but training early on can help curb this behavior. Lhasa-Poo are highly adaptable dogs. Their small size makes them a good fit for apartment living and they adapt just as well to larger homes. They do well in most climates, but may need to bundle up in the winter to keep warm. Having some basic winter dog products on hand is a big help when the temperatures drop. These small dogs are also sensitive to heat as with most dog breeds. Because these dogs thrive on attention and bond closely with their families, they do not like to be left alone. A mixed breed can inherit the genetic conditions of one, both, or neither of the parent breeds. Reputable breeders will screen their stock to avoid passing genetic conditions to puppies. Both of the parent breeds tend to be eager to please and highly intelligent. Although they tend to be easy to train, they can sometimes have a stubborn streak. So, your Lhasa-Poo can be highly trainable, but may have a stubborn streak, which can be challenging for first-time dog owners to navigate. For this mixed breed, it may be a good idea to be prepared to enroll in puppy training and obedience classes. Aside from the training, these classes can help further strengthen the bond you have with your puppy and are also a great opportunity to socialize a puppy. Lhasa-Poo tend to have a long coat that can be wavy or curly and can be clipped short. Although they do not shed much, they do need a lot of grooming in order for their coat to stay healthy. Because their fur is prone to tangles and mats, you will need to brush them daily. If their coat is clipped short, you can likely get away with brushing a few times a week. Bathing is on an as-needed basis, but your Lhasa-Poo will need professional grooming every weeks. In addition to coat care, you will also need to handle nail, ear, and dental care for your Lhasa-Poo. Nail trimming on a monthly basis is usually sufficient to keep them from growing too long. So, professional grooming sessions may take care of it. This can help prevent ear infections. Although they are small, Lhasa-Poo tend to have a moderate activity level and can sometimes have bursts of higher energy. Daily walks plus some playtime are usually enough for this dog. Try out a bunch of different activities to see what your dog likes to do best. They may enjoy taking an easy hike with you, going for trips to the dog park , or even swimming. A fully-grown Lhasa-Poo usually stands inches tall and weighs pounds. A Lhasa-Poo generally lives years. The Lhasa-Poo coat is a coat of many colors. They can have a white, cream, apricot, black, brown, or combination colored-coat. Featured Lhasa-Poo Article. Since it is bred between the Lhasa Apso and the Poodle, it could inherit either a straight silky coat or a curly coat and can come in a variety of colors including white, black, brown, cream, apricot, or any combination thereof. The Lhasa-Poo also has a sturdy body, alert face, small round head, almond-shaped eyes, short legs, and hanging ears. Discover more about our Lhasa-Poo puppies for sale below! It is also an alert breed and can make a good watchdog. Like all dogs, if socialized from a young age the Lhasa-Poo would be good with other pets and children. Care Being a small breed, the Lhasa-Poo only requires just an average amount of daily exercise; such as routine walks. It is also important to brush the coat about twice a week to avoid matting and groomed by a professional about once every six months to avoid tangling. See store for details on a particular puppy. American Canine Hybrid Club. The product is already in the wishlist! It can be trained to a high degree and is very willing and happy to please its handler. Comical and clever, it is often used as a circus dog. This breed cannot live outside in a kennel. It needs to be part of the family. This is a very good watchdog for its size, seldom becoming aggressive. Poodles are friendly with other dogs and non-canine pets. The Miniature Poodle is good for apartment life. It will be calm indoors if it receives enough exercise. It will do okay without a yard. Miniature Poodles need a daily walk. They will also enjoy a good romp in a safe, open area off lead, such as a large, fenced-in yard. They adore water and love sessions of play. They are a very versatile breed with a hunting and retrieving beginning, although they excel in any performance event you offer them, including agility, obedience, rally and conformation showing, and often one will leave one ring and go directly to another to compete again. Since they love water they are great dock diving dogs and love water retrieving. Poodles shed little to no hair and are good for allergy sufferers. Charming, devoted and self-assured, they are a popular family dog. Energetic and loving, Golden Retrievers enjoy pleasing their masters, so obedience training can be very rewarding. They excel in competitions. Friendly with everyone, including other dogs, the Golden Retriever has very little, if any, guarding instincts. This breed needs to be around people who display leadership to be happy. These dogs also love to swim. This breed will do okay in an apartment if sufficiently exercised. They are moderately active indoors and will do best with at least a medium to large yard. The Golden Retriever needs to be taken on a daily, brisk, long walk, jog or run alongside you when you bicycle, where the dog is made to heel beside or behind the person holding the lead, as instinct tells a dog that the leader leads the way and that leader needs to be the human. In addition, they like to retrieve balls and other toys. Be sure to exercise this dog well to avoid hyperactivity. These are lovable, well-mannered, intelligent dogs with a great charm.
