Updated on 11 February White German Shepherds are rare dogs with a striking coat. However, White GSDs can have some subtle differences. White German Shepherds have been recongised by the UKC since — and the organization have created a breed standard for this particular variety of GSD. While they were banned from registration in their native Germany in , North America proved something of a hotbed for these dogs and a breed club was formed for White German Shepherds in .Ash, who owns a White GSD called Ghost, warned prospective owners to be prepared for their dog to be confused for another popular dog breed! You will constantly be asked if your dog is a Husky white fur that is so noticeable, needs a lot of attention, lots of energy. They can become very attached to their dog owners and members of the family. This can translate to them being excellent family dogs! Alyssa highlighted this loyal trait, having firsthand experience with Lumi. White Shepherds are incredibly loyal and great family dogs. They love their families and will do anything to protect them. Because of this, they typically are a bit skeptical of strangers but this can be worked through with proper socialization and training. While German Shepherds can often be incorrectly stereotyped as aggressive dogs, the White GSD tend to have more mellow personalities. Only the Border Collie and the Poodle are considered more intelligent! They should be quick to learn new commands and can be highly obedient dogs. Having said that, sometimes smart dogs can have a stubborn or mischievous streak. Alyssa explained that consistency is key where training White GSD is concerned. White Shepherds are incredibly smart. Just keep at it and make sure to give lots of praise when they exhibit the correct behaviors. With high energy compared to other breeds, they may not be suited to all pet parents. As mentioned before they need a solid amount of exercise and mental stimulation or they can become bored and destructive. You should be prepared for lots of white fur on your clothes, on your furniture and on the floor. Alyssa shed further light on White GSD shedding! If you have issues with shedding, White Shepherds are not for you. White GSDs require regular daily exercise to stretch their legs. Aylssa provided her insight on White German Shepherd exercise. Exercise all depends on the drive and energy level of your dog. German Shepherds on average White Shepherds included need quite a bit of exercise. They can get bored very easily so its important to keep their mind busy. Training sessions also do a great job of keeping them mentally stimulated. They need regular brushing to remove shedded hair and debris from their coat to maintain their overall coat health. Ash underlined the importance of regularly grooming a White GSD. Sometimes the fur can grow back, other times the elbow becomes a little bald patch which can scab if it gets hurt. Hiding treats for your dog to find. Obedience training Grooming The White German Shepherd is a heavy-shedding dog with a double white coat and requires regular brushing. Ideally, a White Shepherd should be groomed every other day, possibly daily, during the peak shedding season. Male vs. Female While for many animal species, the female is larger, with the German Shepherd, it is the males that are larger. While German Shepherds are all loyal and loving family dogs, it is often noted that females are more docile than males. This makes a female Shepherd a better choice for homes with young children. A female White Shepherd reaches sexual maturity at two years of age and has a litter of between five to ten puppies. They have an intelligent and fearless personality and are eager to learn and please. These traits make them wonderful family pets. A determined personality also makes shepherds adept at being working dogs. The White German Shepherd is a loyal and loving dog that quickly forms an unshakable bond with its family and is fiercely protective of them. It is vital for all dog owners to understand that training is important. Any German Shepherd breed needs to be trained and socialized correctly. Failing to do so leads to problems with jealousy and distrust of strangers. White German Shepherd Health and Care All dogs come with their own potential health problems and care requirements. For the White German Shepherd, there are several critical quality-of-life considerations to make. While both White and regular German Shepherds suffer from a lot of the same health issues, there are some with a higher prevalence in white breeds. Hip Dysplasia Hip dysplasia is one of the most common health issues faced by White German Shepherd dogs. Caused by a misformation of the hip joint, dysplasia is a painful condition resulting from bone-on-bone grinding. While it can be seen in White German Shepherd puppies as young as four months, it is more common in older dogs. It can be treated with the help of CBD Oil for hip dysplasia. Sadly, this painful condition is very prominent in German shepherds. This is largely due to their combined size and energy levels. Unfortunately, arthritis is a progressive condition that cannot be cured. In the White GSD, arthritis is more common in their hind legs than in their front. Gastric Bloat Gastric bloat is the common name for a serious medical complaint known as gastric dilatation volvulus GDV. Bloat commonly occurs in larger dogs, particularly German Shepherd breeds. There is no time to waste with this condition. If a dog is showing signs of bloat, they need immediate medical attention, as it could quickly become fatal. Canine Degenerative Myelopathy CDM Canine degenerative myelopathy is a degenerative disease that affects the spinal column. German Shepherds are one of the most commonly affected breeds. The result of CDM is commonly rear-leg paralysis. Middle-aged dogs between 4 and 14 years are more likely to be diagnosed with CDM. Pay attention to any limping or signs of motion impingement. Other Diseases Deafness is another disease that is more common for the White German Shepherd than other breeds. As a general rule, deafness is a common health concern for white-coated dogs and other animals. Some of the core allergies that affect this breed are related to chicken, wheat, and dairy. Dental decay is also a serious problem that is frequently observed in German Shepherds. More so with them than many other breeds. Using dental chews in combination with a healthy diet is a great way to promote healthy teeth and gums. They love to be challenged, while their loyalty sees them eager to please. While Shepherds make great pets, it is important to train them from a young age. Below are five training tips for White German Shepherds. Be consistent: White and other German Shepherds all respond better to training when there is consistency to things. Everything from your manner to the commands you use needs to be consistent from one training session to another. Layer your training in easy-to-iterate steps. Master one of two commands before introducing something else. Be a leader: It is important to remember that dogs are looking for you to be a leader and not a dominator. You must be prepared to take charge rather than use aggression as a training tactic. Communicate properly: Dogs do not communicate the same way humans do. It is important to understand the right way to communicate with your White Shepherd. Short and clear commands yield the best results. Also, avoid using similar-sounding commands, as these are likely to confuse your dog. Practice positive reinforcement: Never punish a dog for not doing well in training or for struggling to recognize a command. Instead, positive reinforcement is the recommended training practice. Reward your furry friend for every good deed. However, the exact costs will vary depending on where you are and the size of the litter. The price also relates to buying White Shepherd puppies from a recognized breeder and not from a puppy farm or through shelter adoption. White German Shepherds are different from other German Shepherd dogs in so far as they have a white coat rather than the traditional tan and brown. However, genetically, there is no difference between White Shepherds and other shepherds. The difference between them is that the White German Shepherd carries a recessive white gene that changes its fur color. This is the same way some humans are born with blond hair. Conclusion The White German Shepherd is the rare form of one of the most easily recognized dogs in the world. Wonderful family dogs. German Shepherds love to be part of the family. They struggle when home alone for long periods. Luckily, this breed is very good with children. The same as any other dog, White Shepherds need to be trained. Exercise is also crucial for this breed, as they can become destructive if they do not get enough physical and mental stimulation. If you work from home or have a family member at home a lot of the day, then a White German Shepherd is an ideal dog. Just make sure ahead of time that you understand the amount of work it takes to train a shepherd puppy from a young age. Whether you are a new or experienced dog owner, the White Shepherd is a great choice for your house. All dogs need love and affection, but the hyper-intelligent German Shepherd needs more than most in order for them to truly feel settled in their home. Luckily, the effort you put in is returned multiple folds in the affection your dog shows. Related Guide:. German Shepherds with all-white coats have always been present in litters; however, the exact cause of their beautiful pure white coat remains unclear. It was once thought that the cause of the white coat was due to albinism or other health issues. However, although the albino gene can exist in German Shepherds, it is rare, and most German Shepherds do not carry this defective gene. The genetics of coat color in the white German Shepherd can be a heavy read. To summarize, genetic research has partly identified a recessive gene that is believed to be responsible for their beautiful white coat. This gene appears to have been a part of the original gene structure of the GSD breed and is believed to mask the real color of the dog, causing it to appear white. So, when does the white German Shepherd appear in a litter, and what colors will the pups of a white GSD bred with a non-white be? Here are a few of them: Two non-white German Shepherds can produce a white puppy only if they both carry the white gene. If a white GSD is bred to a non-white dog that does not carry the gene, none of the puppies will be white; however, they will be carriers of the white gene. If offspring are bred to a white, some of them will express the white coat color. Only two purebred white German Shepherds always create a litter of all-white pups. Due to being extremely intelligent, strong, protective, loyal, and obedient, German Shepherds were originally bred to be herding dogs and were responsible for herding sheep and protecting flocks and other livestock. They were not originally considered household pets but were instead bred specifically to work. Their sense of smell, intelligence, work ethic, courage, versatility, and speed made them perfect as all-purpose farm dogs. By the start of World War One, the German Shepherd breed had become incredibly popular throughout Germany and had already started spreading to other parts of the world. This noble and trustworthy dog became especially popular in the UK and America. This was partly from returning soldiers of the First World War who spoke very highly of them and the popularity of German Shepherd movie stars, Strongheart and Rin-Tin-Tin. Dog lovers not only admired the beauty of the German Shepherd but were particularly fond of their temperament, especially their loyalty, easy trainability, bravery, and working ability. White German Shepherds have also been around since the early formations of the breed. These bright white versions were popular due to their unique appearance and the ability to blend in among the flocks, making darker predators, such as foxes, easier to spot. In the s, the purebred white German Shepherd started to be considered a fault by the Nazi regime, which saw the white coat as an undesirable trait. They also wrongly believed that the genes of the white-coated dogs paled the coats of color-coated dogs and were responsible for causing disease. Nazi Germany began to discriminate against white German Shepherds, and they were soon excluded from both breeding and showing. The US followed suit in the late s when the American Kennel Club banned the white German Shepherd from the conformation ring — but still allowed their registration as a purebred. They were also still permitted to participate in events, such as herding trials, tracking events, and obedience. Advances in science proved that the white recessive gene did not cause albinoism. Albinos have no pigment whatsoever, whereas white German Shepherds have pigment in their eyes, nose, lips, mouth, paw pads, etc. Science also proved that the white German Shepherd was not responsible for any other health issues or the paling of color-coated dogs. Now, this is where things begin to get confusing! Let me explain… Supporters for the white German Shepherd Dog began forming their own breed clubs and registries in the late s and s. These supporters vowed to protect the breed and re-named the dog the White Shepherd. Around the same time, another white breed was developed. The resulting puppies were considered to be the foundation dogs of the Swiss Shepherd. This breed is discussed later in the article. It can be somewhat confusing — but technically speaking the white German Shepherd, White Shepherd and the Swiss Shepherd are all considered different breeds recognized by different organizations with different breed standards: The white German Shepherd is recognized by the American Kennel Club although it is disqualified from showing and the UK Kennel Club. In contrast, the UKC is a for-profit institution that is open to individuals. Opinions in North America remain divided into whether the purebred white German Shepherd should be seen as a separate breed from the White Shepherd. Whether you are looking at a white German Shepherd or a White Shepherd, effectively, they are the same dog, and they have the same appearance and traits. White German Shepherd Appearance The white German Shepherd dog is pretty much identical in appearance to every other variety of German Shepherd, apart from, of course, the color of their coat, which is completely bright white all over. They are medium to large-sized dogs with a muscular and athletic build. They have a low-set bushy tail and very distinctive pointy ears , a true distinguishing trait of the German Shepherd breed. Adult male white German Shepherds tend to be around 24 to 26 inches in height, and females are usually around 22 to 24 inches tall. Males usually weigh 66—88 lbs 30—40 kg , and females 49—71 lbs 22—32 kg when fully grown. Remember, though, that each dog is different, and sizes can vary. When identifying a purebred German Shepherd , the head is noble, the eyes are medium-sized and almond-shaped, and the muzzle is long. The white German Shepherd is double-coated, and their stunning weather-resistant coat is medium length or is sometimes long. The outer coat has coarse, straight, or slightly wavy hairs that lie close to the body, and the undercoat is thick. A question often asked is how rare are white German Shepherds? White German Shepherds are rarer than the colored variety, and the availability and price are determined by supply and demand. Breeders can, therefore, charge more, or sometimes less, for these impressive dogs. As with colored GSDs and with any purebred , prices can vary depending on various factors such as breeder reputation, location, bloodline, and litter size. Only two white German Shepherds are sure to have a litter of gorgeous white pups. However, if two non-white German Shepherds both carry the white gene, there is a chance that some of the litter may be white. Exactly how many depend on whether the color-coated dog carries the recessive white gene. As it is unknown what color a white German Shepherd is masking, it is impossible to determine the colors of the pups when bred to a non-white. However, a reputable and experienced breeder can confidently breed two white German Shepherds to create a litter of purebred all-white fluffy German Shepherd puppies. What is the Temperament of the White German Shepherd? White German Shepherds have the same temperament as color-coated dogs. There is often a misunderstanding that they are less aggressive or calmer; however, this is a myth. They make either an excellent companion dog or a great working dog. Their bravery, loyalty, endless energy, easy trainability, and versatility are why they are often utilized in the police, military, search and rescue, or as service or therapy dogs. White German Shepherds are incredibly eager to please their owners, and they love having a job to do. This makes them fun and easy to train. Basic obedience training from early puppy age will help them grow up to become well-behaved adult dogs. You can start training as soon as you bring your new pup into your home, usually from around 8 weeks of age. When faced with strangers, white German Shepherds can become nervous, suspicious, and occasionally a little aggressive. This is due to their deep protective and guarding instincts. Remember, they were originally bred to protect and herd sheep. Early socialization and training are important to prevent any over-aggressiveness. These dogs are very active, and exercise is necessary to keep them out of mischief. They require at least two hours of daily physical activity, and this can include a combination of walking, hiking, off-leash running, flyball, agility, frisbee, or fetch. Mental stimulation, including playing games and having interactive or puzzle toys around, is also important. Your doggo will have hours of fun, and this toy is a true boredom buster! German Shepherds display poor behavior without regular exercise, such as chewing, biting, scratching, digging, barking, or whining. Sometimes the white GSD can be over-sensitive, emotional, or extra clingy. This is due to their intense devotion and loyalty to you! Overall, white German Shepherds are very loving, loyal, trustworthy, and fun dogs. They are full of life with endless energy, and you will enjoy spending time with them for many years. White German Shepherds make wonderful pets as long as you can provide for their basic needs. You will need to have a suitable lifestyle to exercise and care for them properly. A question often asked is whether German Shepherds are good first dogs. Let me offer my experience here as my first dog was — and is — a female GSD. They do make excellent first dogs, but you need to have lots of time and energy to socialize and train them. If you are looking for a dog that needs hardly any exercise, grooming, or training, then a white German Shepherd is definitely not for you! From a young pup, your GSD will need lots of attention and interaction from you. The white German Shepherd is good with children and other family pets, especially if raised with them. All German Shepherd types require a home where someone is around during the day as they cannot tolerate being left alone for hours and hours on end. If you are out at work, you must plan and have a routine. German Shepherds are medium-large breed dogs, but exactly how much space do they need? Even though they are high-energy dogs, with lots of planning and hard work, they can thrive in smaller homes — even in apartments — as long as their needs are met. You will be required to put in more work and dedication, but it can be achieved if you are determined to make it work. Overall, the white German Shepherd makes a great family pet, and if you treat him right, he will give you hours of fun. Are White German Shepherds Aggressive? German Shepherds of any color are known to have aggressive tendencies and behaviors. They are strong, athletic, and muscular dogs, and due to these traits and their high intelligence and protective nature, they are often used as guard dogs or in the police and military. They can be trained to be aggressive towards certain individuals or strangers. However, a well-raised and socialized white German Shepherd has no reason to become aggressive. As long as you socialize and train your puppy as soon as you bring him home, this will give him the confidence and experience he needs around new people and other dogs and help him respond to many different situations calmly and confidently. White German Shepherds are no different from the color-coated variety and are extremely healthy dogs. However, like most other breeds, they can be prone to some hereditary health issues. One of the most common health issues that white German Shepherds are known for is hip dysplasia. All German Shepherds are born with perfectly healthy hips. However, some will develop this hereditary condition. Hip dysplasia may become apparent at any age, but the symptoms are most often noticed in older white German Shepherds. Some white German Shepherds develop malabsorption syndrome, and the breed is prone to other sensitive stomach issues. If you believe your white German Shepherd may suffer from any illness, you should visit your veterinarian for a full check-up. The vet will conduct a physical examination of your dog and take some blood tests and x-rays to determine the correct diagnosis. White German Shepherds tend to live on average between years old. This is the typical living age for all German Shepherds, regardless of their color. To ensure your white German Shepherd lives a long and healthy life, choose a reputable breeder who takes the time the screen the health of the sire and dam. I truly believe that the nutrition you provide for your GSD will keep him fit and healthy. My German Shepherd has been fed a special type of food from being 8 weeks old, and she still thrives on it to this day. To learn more about this food, head over to this page. Another common question that often surrounds the purebred white German Shepherd is whether the white coat causes deafness. Many white dog breeds have trouble with their hearing, such as Dalmatians who carry the piebald gene. Dogs with the piebald or merle gene lack these types of cells — this is what makes them white and contributes to their hearing loss. However, white German Shepherds inherit their white coats differently — through a different gene. This means that while their coat is white, their skin and ears are developed normally, so their hearing is unaffected. The white German Shepherd is double-coated, just like the colored variety, and can have medium or long hair. They require the same basic grooming and maintenance needs as any other variety of German Shepherd. All German Shepherds are classed as heavy shedders, and they will molt consistently all year round. For more in-depth information on this, you may find my full guide on shedding particularly helpful. The white hair does have the advantage of showing up better on floors and furniture, making things a bit easier! The longer-haired white German Shepherd is less common and requires more frequent and detailed grooming. They require special attention around the ears to ensure that they remain clean and healthy. Two to three baths per year will usually suffice. However, this can increase depending on several factors, such as coat color, how dirty they get, or their health e. Clearly, white GSDs are likely to need more baths. Excessive washing can also cause skin dryness that can lead to irritation. White German Shepherds are social animals and prefer to live indoors with their families. However, they can live happily outdoors as long as they have been accustomed to this from an early age. They must also learn to bond with their family and be properly socialized. Remember, though, they were originally bred as herding dogs and were used to living outside whilst protecting their sheep. Their thick double coat keeps them warm in the winter and cool in the summer. If you are considering raising your white GSD puppy to live outside, here are some tips and tricks on how to go about it. All GSDs love having a specific area that they can consider as their own special space, whether that be a crate indoors or a dog house out in the yard. Wherever your white German Shepherd lives, inside or outside, he will still need lots of exercise and human interaction to live a happy life. The Swiss Shepherd Finally, another breed is similar to the white German Shepherd that is now recognized as a separate breed. Although almost identical in their appearance, the Swiss Shepherd differs from the white German Shepherd as they have different temperaments. They were specifically bred to be calmer, less aggressive, and less intense than the GSD with a lower working drive. Like white German Shepherds, Swiss Shepherds are an active breed and require daily exercise. If left without exercise, they can become destructive. Final Thoughts The white German Shepherd has endured a tough time earning his status as a recognized purebred. Here is a summary of the key points of the article: The white German Shepherd is purebred. They are identical to other German Shepherds except for their all-white coat caused by a recessive gene. The white German Shepherd is recognized by the American Kennel Club but disqualified from the show ring. The UK Kennel Club also recognizes him. They make wonderful family pets if properly socialized and trained. White GSDs have the same health issues as the colored variety. The gene responsible for the white coat does not cause deafness. They are truly wonderful dogs, no matter what their color! Related Posts You May Like:. Raising dogs for you and your family. The temperament of White Shepherds all depends on breeding and can absolutely vary from dog to dog, however on average, they tend to be a bit calmer. From meeting other White German Shepherd owners we all seem to say the same thing. Exercise all depends on the drive and energy level of your dog. German Shepherds on average White Shepherds included need quite a bit of exercise. They can get bored very easily so its important to keep their mind busy. It just makes dealing with the fur a lot easier in the shedding season. They love their families and will do anything to protect them. Because of this, they typically are a bit skeptical of strangers but this can be worked through with proper socialization and training. The White German Shepherd is a little more timid and shy, are softer in the heart and they are not so aggressive. The German Shepherd is an excellent family and pet friendly dog, with the fun playful side for the kids and family to the hard working training for security for the home. This breed will have your back like no other. It usually occurs when a dog owner leaves their canine companion at home alone. Alyssa believes members of the breed are susceptible to some separation anxiety. White German Shepherds are prone to separation anxiety due to their love for their people. Its hard to want to leave your cute new puppy alone but the work we did with Lumi at 8 weeks to get her comfortable on her own has carried through to today. German Shepherds are notoriously fussy eaters and tend to be prone to sensitivities. From my experience, White Shepherds are no different. Food is food right?! Once your White German Shepherd gets a taste for the finer things in life you will be ruined! My breeder fed him raw mince, so I decided to keep him on a RAW diet. I change it around sometimes from meaty bones to livers and giblets, it is all about knowing what exact meats to give your dog on this diet, like anything else you need to do your own research on whats best for you and your pooch. You may find a White GSD in need of a forever home. Otherwise, you may want to seek out a specific White German Shepherd organization to find some breeders of these elegant dogs. The cost of White Shepherds can vary quite a bit, especially when taking location into consideration. Be smart about the dog you choose to bring home and make sure their personality matches your lifestyle. Other then that if you are looking for a breeder make sure you do some research. I have grown up with the standard colour German Shepherd my entire 26 years of life and when I got my first White German Shepherd I did notice a slight difference. I made sure to do my research on the breed, what the dog needs. I do not recommend getting any type of German Shepherd if you are not ready for the hard work they require. They are very hard work sometimes and very stubborn but also so so rewarding. White German Shepherds will shed a lot so you should be prepared to brush your dog regularly as well as have a lint roller close by at all times to remove white fur from your clothes. Though size varies between individuals, a standard German Shepherd weighs about 60 pounds. Whether you already own a German Shepherd pup or are looking into it, be prepared for a hefty lap dog! Continue to 7 of 16 below. They were originally bred for their striking good looks and intelligence, making for a great working dog on the police force and in the military. They were so cute that dog-lovers in other countries soon caught on and began breeding them themselves. Continue to 8 of 16 below. These dogs are very protective of their homes and family and make excellent guard dogs. Continue to 9 of 16 below. They need stimulation, even if they are a family pet and not a trained deputy. This can be in the form of playful games, puzzle toys, tricks , and obedience training. Otherwise, German Shepherds may show off some unpleasant behavior, like chewing. Continue to 10 of 16 below. Continue to 11 of 16 below. Continue to 12 of 16 below. They perk up as they grow older, making them look extra tall and important. Continue to 13 of 16 below. Beautiful all black and all white German Shepherds are out there, too. Continue to 14 of 16 below. Continue to 15 of 16 below. This breed is inherently athletic and courageous—nothing can stop them, not even water. Continue to 16 of 16 below. This unique dog is bred from German Shepherds and carries many of the same characteristics, yet it also carries the recessive white furred coat gene. Read on below to find out more about this special breed of dog and whether they could be the right pup for you. This is because the White German Shepherd carries the recessive white furred gene, which is just the same as some humans carrying the recessive blonde haired gene. This color never really stuck, and therefore the White German Shepherd never became as popular as other colors of German Shepherds. They are very popular working dogs who are known for their work as police dogs, military dogs and herding dogs. They are also very popular family dogs because of their loyalty and protective nature. They were first discovered by Von Stephanitz who spotted the German Shepherd at a dog show and decided that this breed was the perfect standard for a working dog. Horand was the first breed standard for the German Shepherd breed and was bred alongside dogs with a similar appearance to give German Shepherd litters. They are thought to have first appeared in the United States in and were recognized by the AKC in .Appearance White German Shepherd puppies look like little balls of fluff and are extremely cute! By 1 year of age, they should be at their adult height. You should always buy from a reputable breeder because sometimes breeders try pass off German Shepherd mixes for pure white German Shepherds. The White German Shepherd can weigh anywhere between 50 to 85 pounds with a male weighing more than a female. They are classified as a large dog breed and stand tall at 22 to 26 inches at the shoulder. Again, females are normally shorter than the males. They are a very muscular and athletic breed, which is no surprise because they were bred for their working capabilities. They are very strong and wear a proud posture and have erect ears. Their feet are big too, even when they are puppies! Coat The White German Shepherd has two different types of coat — short coat and long coat. If your White German Shepherd has a long coat, it will typically be much longer than other German Shepherds in the breed. The fur is thick and straight and does require quite a bit of grooming, although we will go into more detail about that below. When they are a puppy, their coat is normally super fluffy. It does become more coarse as they get older, but their ears remain fluffy. Their coat is also a double-coat which helps add protection against harsh winds or rain. Color Of course, the coat color of the White German Shepherd is white! This is what makes them stand out and a unique breed. The white coat recessive gene only impacts the fur color and does not have any effect on their skin or eye pigment. This makes identifying a white German Shepherd very simple and also closely resembles their wolf ancestors. In every other aspect, they mirror the appearance of a standard tan German Shepherd with the same dark brown eyes. They are very protective and make excellent guard dogs or watchdogs. They are also extremely loyal and love to be around people, which makes them a great family dog as well as an excellent working dog. They may also bark at strangers, but this is just because they are trying to protect you! A White Shepherd is an active dog and needs to be mentally stimulated. As we mentioned above, they are originally a working dog and love to be outside running and playing. Lifespan The life expectancy of a White German Shepherd is relatively long. They can live between 12 to 14 years. Many of the problems they are more likely to develop are the same problems that other breeds of German Shepherd deal with. The most common health problem for the German Shepherd dog breed is elbow dysplasia and hip dysplasia. Dysplasia is a condition that is seen in many large dogs and is a disease of a malformation of the joints. The joints can become very painful and may worsen over time causing lameness. The best way to ensure your pup is less prone to any of these conditions is to buy from a reputable breeder and to ensure you get health clearances from both parents. You should also check your dog often for any signs of these issues and take them to the vet regularly for checkups. Daily Life Now you know all about the characteristics and traits of this unique German Shepherd breed, it is time to take a look at what daily life with them is like. We will look at what to feed this dog, how much exercise they need and what grooming of this big breed should be. It comes as no surprise that this is a high maintenance dog breed, but they are worth it! It is recommended that you feed them a diet specially formulated for large dog breeds and you should always check the back of the dog food packet to see how much food you should be feeding your doggie based on their weight. Experts recommend that a White German Shepherd should be eating around calories a day, which is around 3 cups of food. As a puppy, they should be fed three times a day which can then be decreased to two meals a day as an adult. However, if you have a busy lifestyle then this can just be one meal a day. Their food should be healthy and nutritious. It should cover all the nutrients that a dog of this size needs, including proteins, fats and carbohydrates. High-quality dry kibble is a great option, although some dog owners opt to feed their pup raw food. Exercise It is not a surprise that this breed of white dog is very active and has high exercise needs. As a working dog and a breed that is often used as a police dog, they need lots of mental and physical stimulation to keep them happy. You should ensure that you are exercising your German Shepherd for 60 to 90 minutes a day. This includes walks, playing and mental games. Your doggie will want a big back yard to run around in too, so they will not be getting the exercise they need if you live in a small apartment. Without adequate exercise, they can develop unwanted and destructive behaviors due to frustration and boredom. Family Compatibility A White Shepherd makes an excellent family dog. Because they are so loyal, they will want to protect you from anything harmful, which makes them an excellent guard dog. However, you will need to train them from a young age to understand that not everything is a threat, otherwise they may well bark for hours! We mentioned above how much exercise a German Shepherd needs. As a working dog, they need lots of physical and mental stimulation, so they are the perfect pet for those who are outside a lot. Because they are a large dog, they also need a good amount of space. This includes a back yard that they can run around in. Your German Shepherd will not thrive in a small apartment as they will feel like they are being cooped up and may begin to exhibit destructive behaviors. This breed does have a naturally high prey drive, so you will need to take care when introducing them to children for the first time. That being said, when socialized properly, White German Shepherds love children and will even take your children under their wing. The older your dog is, the harder it will be to introduce them to new things and people, but it still can be done. They also get on very well with other family pets, so there will be no issue there and they will become a loved family member. Training The White German Shepherd is a very intelligent dog and is therefore very easy to train. Their ease of training means that they make a great family dog as well as a dog for couples or individuals. You should train them from a very young age and always use positive reinforcement. This can include verbal praise and yummy treats to show them that they are doing a good job. German Shepherds can be a little stubborn, so you should never punish them or scold them. They are great detectives too, so hiding treats and getting them to sniff the treats out makes a fun game to play! Grooming Unfortunately, your White German Shepherd will shed all year round. This is because their coat is so thick. One way to minimize shed is to ensure that you brush them at least two to three times a week. Bathing is not necessary often — only when they look dirty. Brushing their teeth is very important to prevent dental decay and gum disease, although you can give them dental chews every day to help keep their teeth clean. One way to ensure that grooming your German Shepherd is not a traumatic experience for them is to begin grooming them from a young age. This will show them that there is nothing to be afraid of. At our core, we love placing healthy, properly socialized puppies into loving families. There is no greater joy than to be able to share our lifelong passion for English Bulldogs with our adopter families. Feel free to read our blog , watch our videos and learn why Bruiser Bulldogs is producing a better bulldog. Instead of focusing on maximizing wrinkles or winning in the show ring, we have built our foundational bloodlines over the past decade with a focus on health first on foremost. Sires and Dams are health tested with a unique criteria. Bruiser Bulldogs must breathe freely, move athletically while still maintaining that classic English Bulldog look that people around the world have come to love. Our goal has always been consistently produce puppies that are both a head turner and fundamentally healthy Bloodline development is the key to producing healthy bulldogs. We believe that foundational genetics are created through layer after layer of breeding healthy generations of bulldogs. Over the course of a decade, we have focused on a stringent set of health criteria to gradually improve the health and quality of the dogs we produce. The rare combination of experience, repetition, and ethical awareness of correct breeding practices has set our breeding program at the forefront of responsible breeding practices. The process truly is an adoption that affects the time, focus, and schedules of each household that gets a puppy from us. After a healthy puppy , the single most critical factor for a successful bulldog adoption is adopter support. The English Bulldog is unique breed with a unique set of caretaking criteria. Previous dog ownership, while helpful, is not enough to fully prepare an adopter for English Bulldog ownership. We always say the adoption is just the beginning of our journey. Through blog articles and email prep, we focus on such topics as socialization, crate training, disease prevention, potty training, nutrition, and basic puppy supplies to ensure that each adopter will be fully prepared for their new puppy. As a couple, Trish's love for these breeds rubbed off on Dale, and after struggling with infertility, they decided to take a break and welcome their first boy, Lucky, into their lives. Soon after, they were blessed with a baby girl named Reagan, who can often be seen in pictures with their puppies. After discovering their love for breeding, they established a home kennel and have since become devoted puppy parents. They are located in Central Indiana on a spacious property in Zionsville, where all their dogs are raised and socialized by their large family, which includes five children between the ages of 7 to 25, and a bengal cat named Mama Bell. As passionate breeders, they have expanded their family to include some French bulldogs, including Phoebe, Jasper, and Echo, and a one-year-old Dogue De Bordeaux named Belle. The love affair they have with their dogs has never faded, and they treat them all as part of their family, young and old alike. Dependable and predictable, they make wonderful family pets and are loving to most children. People-oriented as a breed, they actively seek human attention. They develop their own personalities quickly, and will leave you laughing most days of the week. Call Morgan at for specific pup identification if you are leaning towards placing an early deposit. We love the English bulldog temperament, physique and expression, I just personally like it to be about lbs. We find the smaller sizes are more buoyant and playful and, though still very heat sensitive, are better able to cope with life in general. Downsizing an AKC breed takes time. Our girls all come from long lines of lb. We not trying for 20 pounders…our goal is to have healthy, beautiful babies that consistently mature at lbs. If you see a puppy that tugs on your heartstrings please call, or go to our deposit page for more information. In the last few years it has become clear that most people would prefer their puppy to be transported using our White Glove transport or Nanny Flight transport. Today, we have requests for our Puppies from all over the country. Because of this, the majority those requesting a Sugarplum Bulldog Puppy have also requested transport to their area of the country; those in Florida, for example, cannot easily make the drive to RI. As such, the majority of our Puppies have shifted to a transport model; this gets them closer to their new forever home. Because of this, we have come to the decision, that for the well being of our Puppies and for the benefit of our new Sugarplum Bulldog owners, we have developed a transport model for our pups using our Puppy-Mobile with direct transport to the pups new Forever Home! Our Mid-Western breeding home is co-owned by Sugarplum Bulldogs, and our partner. Ronny and Dawn Castillo A Preview Of The Upcoming Litter Of Bulldogs For Sale Our Bulldog Mission Our desire is not only to present and showcase our beautiful bulldog puppies for sale and stud service with you, but we also hope to help educate and inform those considering adopting or purchasing a bulldog. Located in Southern Missouri, about a half hour from the Arkansas border, we live in a log home situated in the middle of 20 secluded, wooded acres. Our journey in bulldogs began back in .Ronny and I were married that year and were very young I was only .I have always been a dog lover but up until that point my experience with dogs had mainly involved toy breeds. Johnny passed away at the age of 11 but long before then I knew we would never be without a bulldog. A few years before Johnny died I began researching the breed more thoroughly and had decided to pursue my passion for breeding and showing. I was hooked! The following year I produced my first litter bred by the champion, Ch. For info or to speak to us directly feel free to call or Email — CST castlewoodbulldogs gmail. This includes health, temperament and conformation. Thus, I set out to find and bring into our program the very best bulldogs from around the world. I attended the Bulldog Nationals and watched with keen interest all of the top bulldogs in the US compete for the Best of Breed title. Shortly thereafter there was a post and discussion in one of the bulldog forums I was a member of regarding a particular European bulldog Ch. Valleybull Silver Sailor at Merriveen. He was one of the most beautiful bulldogs I had ever laid eyes on! So, I started researching and studying the European bloodlines and fell in love with many of their dogs. What I noticed was that while the US bloodlines seem to have better top lines and shorter backs, the European bloodlines tend to have better heads, tails and more bone and substance. By incorporating both the US and European bloodlines into our breeding program, I am aiming to get the best from both worlds. I am very proud of our most recent addition, coming all the way from Spain, Ch. Valley Bulls Burton.

Unfortunately, Facebook is such an important social media platform that we can't just tell Facebook to sod off and go somewhere else. There really isn't anywhere else that is comparable. But there ARE solutions. Disclaimer—Post at Your Own Risk Before we get into any of the real marketing topics, I want to talk about selling puppies on Facebook since most of us have been hit so hard by them lately. First, I want to make it clear that: Facebook is in charge, not me. So they can do whatever they want despite what I say here. They can change their policies. They can delete whatever they want despite their policies. Nothing I say here is a guarantee. This is my opinion only. If you take action based on what I say here please know I can't be responsible. Please see 1 as to why. Ok, the real info now. The truth of the matter is that you CAN still advertise puppies on Facebook. However, there are restrictions. There are also animal rights extremists reporting pages and posts, so even if you are following the rules you may get reported and you MUST challenge the report and succeed to avoid Facebook jail or deletions. Or in Facebook page shops or Instagram shops. Facebook will often automatically change your post to a Marketplace post if they think you are selling something. Do NOT click to post if they do this. You will get dinged! Not allowed: "Content that attempts to sell live animals between private individuals. This is where most people get reported. As of this writing, Facebook states on their reporting policy that animal sales are NOT allowed between individuals but ARE allowed by "businesses that sell other animals from a storefront or website. Facebook DOES allow animal sales if posted by a business. However, Facebook itself gets to decide if you are in fact a legitimate business. So it may be more than just having a business page. This is where things get vague and sketchy and where you have to decide your own level or risk tolerance. The more you appear like a legit business, the less likely you will be to have problems. But you also need to make sure that you actually are legit--they can and do check on these things. What I've done that allows me to so far advertise puppies on Facebook on my business page and in paid boosts and ads without problems is to: Include in my page name that I'm an LLC Have an established presence. This includes an established website, a Google Business listing, Google reviews, Facebook reviews, and everything else you can think of that will back up the fact that you are a legitimate business. Have my Facebook business page verified. They gave me a really hard time, but my business is legit and I kept at it. If you aren't legit, you may not want to try this because if they decide you are NOT a legit business they could give you some trouble. If you have a business line that is a land line registered to your business, they sometimes verify just by calling that number. I only use a cell, so this wasn't an option for me. Here is a list of documents Facebook will accept for verification. They initially refused me time and time again. I went through about half a dozen rounds with them. I supplied them with the documents they asked for and kept getting rejected for some reason. But I kept at it and finally after weeks of this they Verified me. Epilepsy Teacup Goldendoodle Temperament and Trainability These mixes pack larger-than-life personalities in their small bodies. Due to their sensitive natures, these mini dogs are prone to developing reactivity, anxiety, and aggression if neglected. They can develop separation anxiety if they stay too long away from their hoomans. The intelligence that makes training these pups so easy is the very thing that could make them stubborn. These dogs have a knack for mischief every once in a while, where proper training would come in handy. Teacup Groodles are excellent with children but must be monitored around them to avoid accidents as they are very fragile and easily hurt. They are friendly around other animals, but the risk of injury remains. Early training and socialization are the biggest indicators of sociability with kids and animals. Suitable Home Allergic households keep in mind no dog is completely allergenic A home without small children or many bigger animals to avoid accidents Mildly active lifestyles daily short walks and a lot of playtime or activities like agility Novice owners People who want a lap dog or a companion dog Empty nesters, retired people, or people who work from home and are home most of the time. Dog owners committed to regular and consistent grooming. Their steep prices result from the multiple generations needed to attain their small sizes. Always make sure you see the parents. Are Teacup Goldendoodles Hypoallergenic? The only way to ensure a dog is allergy-friendly is to spend time around them, as no dog is completely allergenic. These dogs can live for 12 to 15 years with proper care and maintenance. Proper breeding is arguably the most crucial factor in how long your pup will live. Their small bladders may make Teacup Groodles a hassle to potty-train. However, they will get the hang of it with patience. And they are generally very trainable dogs. Final Thoughts Teacup Groodles are small but mighty pups and good home additions. You must be careful around them because their small size makes them prone to traumatic injuries. Teacup Goldendoodles weigh between 7 to 13 pounds. As for height, these tiny dogs will stand from around 8 to 13 inches tall at the shoulder once they reach their full growth. Colors And Coat Types You can get Teacup Goldendoodles in many different colors , which include black, gray, red, copper, apricot, red, white, but most commonly golden. Sometimes you might find that your Toy Goldendoodle has some white markings or splotches on his or her body as well. When it comes to the coat of a Teacup Goldendoodle, these dogs can come in four different coat types. These include flat, straight, wavy, and curly, but the last two are by far the most common. Grooming There are plenty of Goldendoodle haircuts and styles to keep your pooch looking their best. This is because their fur is closer to that of the Golden Retriever than that of the poodle. Goldendoodles with these coat types do shed, and you will need to brush them around one or two times a week to make sure you keep this shedding under control. On the other hand, grooming of the wavy or curly Teacup Goldendoodle, which is the most commonly occurring and popular type of coat, is a lot different. The best tool for grooming your Teacup Goldendoodle is a slicker brush, as well as a grooming rake for wavy coats or a metal comb for curly coats. You can also use a pet coat detangling spray to help with the grooming process and make it faster and easier. These dogs are active and as a result, will require quite a lot of daily exercise. Their fun-loving and playful nature makes for a great playmate and companion for children. Golden Retrievers are highly intelligent and attentive, which means they are easy to train a large number of different skills. They are also very obedient and trustworthy. Golden Retrievers get along great with other dogs and pets and are used for a variety of jobs, including as therapy dogs and service dogs. Toy Poodle Toy Poodles are loyal and get closely attached to their owner or family. Originally bred for companionship and mushroom hunting, the Toy Poodle loves getting attention and spending time with you. This breed is fun-loving and playful, and their active nature requires you to provide them with enough physical activity every day. They are also highly alert dogs and will quickly let their owners know if they sense or spot a potential threat. Teacup Goldendoodle The Teacup Goldendoodle combines the docile, playful nature of the Golden Retriever and the smartness and loyalty of the Toy Poodle, giving you a bit of both worlds. As a result, they may develop separation anxiety, so you should take proper precautions and socialize them properly as a puppy. This could mean leaving your house for short amounts of time and gradually working up to longer durations. This way, your pup will get used to being away from them and may not be as anxious when you leave. Intelligent Due to their parent breeds, Toy Goldendoodles are very intelligent. Affectionate These little dogs are fun-loving, gentle, sweet, and very affectionate to their owner or family, and will become very attached to them. They also get along great with children and other pets in your household. Stubborn Even though Golden Retrievers are extremely obedient and attentive dogs, Poodles sometimes act rather stubbornly. As a result, this genetic trait happens to be present in the Toy Goldendoodle as well, and you may need extra patients with training. Friendly The Teacup Goldendoodle has inherited the friendly and aloof temperament of the Golden Retriever. This makes them get along great with all sorts of people who come over to visit. Quiet Toy Goldendoodles are also very quiet dogs, which is an appealing trait to many people, especially those living in an apartment or condo complex. Alert Whether or not your Goldendoodle will alert you of a potential threat, all depends on the individual more than anything else. However, they may bark when they sense danger, which is a trait inherited from the Poodle. When it comes to the amount of physical activity that the Teacup Goldendoodle needs, these dogs are moderately active. They do just fine with around half an hour of exercise each day, which can include a few short walks throughout the day and some playtime as well. Price Range So how much do you expect to buy a purebred Teacup Goldendoodle for? However, you may find Teacup Goldendoodles up for adoption for a much cheaper fee. Health Problems And Life Expectancy While a reputable breeder will test their dogs for health problems common to the Teacup Goldendoodle, this breed is still prone to some health issues. For the most part, these health problems are genetic and are inherited from both the Poodle and the Golden Retriever. Epilepsy: This could make your Goldendoodle experience seizures which cause muscle twitching and spasms that he has no control over. This protein is responsible for making platelets clot and closes up broken blood vessels at wound sites. Life Expectancy Of Teacup Goldendoodles Teacup Goldendoodles usually live from around 13 to 15 years, but can live longer as they are smaller dogs. PS check out our list of other teacup Doodles to find the right one for you. In that case, go through our list of Goldendoodle breeders to find Teacup Goldendoodle puppies for sale. These dogs make great pets due to their friendly, affectionate nature, and at the same time, high intelligence and loyalty. They love to play, form a strong bond with their family, and have a gentle nature. The Teacup Goldendoodle is quite easy to take care of and will be kept happy with a few walks during the day and some daily grooming to keep the mats at bay. Also, they get along with both people and other animals, which is great if you own other pets at the same time. She has years of experience fostering dogs and has helped find homes for a variety of different breeds, both large and small! Learn more about her here. Even Mini Goldendoodles are considerably larger compared to the micro mini Teacup Goldendoodles! They make friends everywhere they go. Overall, just the perfect happy-go-lucky Dood! These fun-sized pups are also extremely intelligent and praised for their trainability. Although larger Standard Goldendoodles make great therapy and service dogs, the mini Teacup Goldendoodle does not fall far behind with its wits and smarts. Thanks to their affectionate nature and friendly demeanor, Teacup Goldendoodles are the perfect cuddly companions. They even look like real-life tiny teddy bears. This adorable Dood can get along with anyone and everyone, and they make wonderful family pets. Additionally, they also exhibit much of the same excitability. As a result, they can develop separation anxiety. For this reason, leaving them alone for long periods of time is not the best way to go. And just like larger Goldendoodles, the mini Teacup Goldendoodles are equally as energetic and active. They still require plenty of physical and mental stimulation throughout the day. Health Problems Of Teacup Goldendoodles The great thing about all Doodles is that as hybrid breeds, they are said to benefit from hybrid vigor. To put it simply, crossbreeds have a more varied genetic pool, which makes them less susceptible to certain genetic conditions that are common in their purebred parents. On the other hand, this does not mean that all Doodles are extremely healthy and never experience any health issues. So, just like larger Standard and Mini Goldendoodles, Teacup Goldendoodles are prone to similar health issues. However, like other smaller breeds, the Teacup Goldendoodle is at a higher risk of patellar luxation, where the kneecap moves out of its place. All of which are common in all types of Doodles. Mainly because of the ethics and how breeders choose to produce this size. Unfortunately, there are countless unethical breeders out there who aim to breed the smallest Teacup Goldendoodles by using irresponsible breeding practices. Many of them continuously breed together runts of the litters to produce abnormally small Goldendoodles. Again, this can cause serious health conditions. And if someone would use these pups as breeding dogs in the future, their litters will likely suffer from similar disorders. Doods with the dwarfism gene typically have shorter, stubby legs, but the rest of their body develops as normal. However, as you might guess, this can introduce a wide range of other health issues into the mix. Commonly, the dwarfism gene comes with hormonal problems and can lead to hypothyroidism and issues with the reproductive system. They both have the same amazing qualities and personality traits, but smaller pups just fit it all into a tiny package. Naturally, thanks to their small stature, Teacup Goldendoodles are perfect companions for apartment living. In contrast, larger Standard Goldendoodles would thrive best in a more spacious home with a fenced backyard, where they have plenty of room to romp around and spend all that excess energy. In addition to that, Teacup Goldendoodles are extremely delicate and fragile. Of course, the cost is also determined by your location. For instance, reputable breeders tend to charge more in highly populated areas, where the overall cost of living is higher. Teacup Goldendoodles: Final Thoughts We hope we managed to answer all of your questions about the adorable tiny Teacup Goldendoodle. Teacup Goldendoodle Temperament The Teacup Goldendoodle is a gentle, loving and sweet dog breed that is highly suited to apartment living due to their tiny size. They are a very friendly dog breed however their sociability rating is low as due to their small size as it is too dangerous to socialise them with other dogs. Here at Henry AKC Goldens we pride ourselves in providing families with high quality puppies that are given the love and attention every puppy deserves. Our puppies range in color from creams to dark reds. We look forward to meeting new families and sharing our love for the golden retriever breed. About Us! My name is Emily Henry and my husband, Jerrod and myself started our family 17 years ago. We are raising our family on our dairy farm where we milk a little over cows, three times a day as well as crop farm 3, acres near Honda Marysville plant. While the dairy and hay making keeps my husband busy, the kids and I love spending time with our dogs and the puppies. They are all treated like family around here. If the kids are playing outside, you are bound to find our pups playing in the yard. If we are busy feeding calves, you are sure to find the dogs patiently waiting to lick up any extra calf milk that is not needed. If I go for a run, you will likely find one of them at the end of the leash. They have even been our "guard dogs" on 2 different instances of individuals coming to our door. They are known for their calm and gentle demeanor but they will alert and protect you when called to duty. After losing our beloved "farm dog" golden back in , we decided it was time to get a new dog in .At this time, we searched high and low, from 5 local humane societies to golden retriever rescues. To no avail, we were either not "qualified" to have a golden that was not fenced in nor were there any goldens at the local shelters. That is when my children decided to purchase Bella from a breeder. After much time, patience and research, we decided to take on breeding. This opportunity turned into something greater than we could have imagined. These girls have brought so much joy to our home. Although it is a lot of hard work, we cherish every moment and are blessed with the opportunity to provide families with their new best friend s. We look forward to meeting your family!! She is going to be so well loved". Welcome to Glory Dawn Goldens! Hello, we are Steven and Kaitlyn Miller. We also have a one year old daughter Nevaeh Sue. We are located near Orrville Ohio. We have been breeding golden retrievers since and launched Blue Chip Companion in with the idea of expanding our reach outside our local community and friends. We are however excited to be switching gears and partnering with Jeremy and Glory Dawn Goldens to promote this amazing breed further than we ever could on our own. I, have always been in love with golden retrievers and when the opportunity came to partner with Jeremy, I knew that this was exactly what I want to do for the rest of my life. Why Choose Us? This breed of dog is one of the most popular choices for families, thanks to its friendly and affectionate nature. Fortunately, there are many options for those wishing to sell their French Bulldog. Online Resources One of the most common places to list your French Bulldog for sale is on an online pet classifieds website. Many websites exist that offer pet classifieds, and they are great for reaching a larger audience. These websites will require a fee to list the dog on the site, and often the fees vary depending on the website and the type of listing you choose. Some websites may charge a flat fee, while others may charge a monthly subscription to list on the site. Before choosing a website, make sure to carefully read the terms and conditions, as there may be restrictions on what type of listing you can offer. Local Advertisers Another option is advertising your French Bulldog for sale locally. This may include placing an ad in the local newspaper, in pet adoption magazines or websites, or posting on community message boards. This can be an effective way to reach people in your area, as they are more likely to be comfortable meeting an owner in person. Breeders If you are unable to find an ideal home through online and local advertising, you may want to consider working with a breeder. Breeders often have a waiting list of families looking to purchase a French Bulldog and can often provide the right home for a dog in need. Working with a breeder can also help ensure the dog is well taken care of and a safe environment is found for them. Re-homing Centre Re-homing centres are another great option for those looking to re-home their French Bulldog. Most shelters have a network of local re-homing centres, and some may specialize in French Bulldogs. Re-homing centres often take in dogs that need homes and can provide a safe and secure environment until the perfect home is found. The centre will also match the dog with potential owners and oversee the process of adoption. The Rescue Mission The final option is the rescue mission. The mission often works with a selection of volunteers and staff who specialize in finding homes for French Bulldogs in need. The mission may also provide food and medical aid, as well as temporary foster care and support. The rescue mission is a great option for those looking to ensure their French Bulldog is cared for and re-homed properly. No matter what method is chosen to sell a French Bulldog, it is important to do your research and make sure the best home is found for them. With a little bit of research and effort, you can ensure that the dog is properly cared for and the perfect forever home is found for them. Selling your French Bulldog does not have to be a difficult process, and with a bit of patience and the right resources, you can find the perfect home for your pet. With all these options, sellers are sure to find a safe and suitable home for their French Bulldog. Whether you choose to re-home through online resources, local advertisers, breeders, re-homing centres, or the rescue mission, your French Bulldog is sure to find the perfect home. Related Info And Products:. When considering where to sell French Bulldog puppies, there is a wide range of options available. Seeking out reputable breeders, understanding your local laws, along with researching your potential sales target, are all helpful steps that may lead to a successful outcome. How to Find Reputable Breeders The first step in selling your puppies is to locate a reputable breeder. This can be done through different sources, including: Recommendations Ask family and friends to see if they can recommend any French Bulldog breeders. This is a great way to narrow down your search and can help with gaining trust, as you may have access to reviews from people who have had first-hand experiences. Research Research online to find breeders in your area. Be sure to carefully read and view their website for information about any health tests and temperament evaluations the breeder may have done. You may even be able to find contact information for references. Also, ask to see the puppies in person so you can see for yourself the quality of the breed. Knowing the market in great detail is key to creating the best advertisement. Do some research and learn about the average prices for the breed in your area, as well as any type of current trends that may be affecting your sales. This information can help you determine the optimum price point and market outlet for your puppies. These can include: Online Marketplace: Sites like pedigree stores and puppy forums offer buyers the ability to search for puppies in their area. Classifieds Sites: Websites like Craigslist may also be utilized by posting an advertisement with pictures of the puppies. Social Media: Social media platforms such as Facebook and Instagram are becoming popular platforms for selling puppies. Utilize hashtags to target potential buyers. Local Pet Store: If there are any local pet stores in your area, they might be open to displaying and selling your puppies. Selling French Bulldog puppies is a great way to make money, but it is also important to be informed and responsible. Take the necessary steps to find reputable breeders and make sure you are aware of the local laws in your area. Research the market to make sure to get the best price possible for your puppies. Consider selling through online marketplaces, classifieds sites, social media, or local pet stores to best reach potential buyers. It is ultimately important to remember the health and safety of the puppies when selling them, so make sure to research to make sure you are sending them home to the right buyer. Related Info And Products:. At what age do you sell your French Bulldog puppies? Based on our experience, we do not place any of our Frenchie puppies into their new homes prior to 8 weeks of age they need the socialization of their litter mates and mom until then. We actually prefer to keep them until they are 9 weeks of age so they get a little more socialization time with their litter mates and they are a little better prepared to go to their new homes. Occasionally, we will want to keep a puppy a little longer because, just as in human babies, Frenchie babies mature at different rates. We know how hard it can be to wait for your little bundle of joy, but we want to make sure your puppy is well prepared to go to your home before being placed with you. By approximately 9 weeks of age, when we start placing our puppies in their new forever homes, our puppies will have already had their first two of three required DAPP vaccinations the first doses are given at 6 and 9 weeks of age , along with the first of two Bordetella vaccinations. Based on the age of your puppy when placed with you, you will be responsible for obtaining the DAPP vaccinations that your puppy still needs, which will be detailed in your Sales Contract. We have also given your pup regular de-worming meds and preventive treatments for coccidia and giardia although all dogs carry coccidia, and giardia is everywhere, and both can flare up under the stress of moving to a new home, a diet change, a new environment, etc. Have More Questions?

He is 7 months old and weighed 85lbs in this picture. He is a German Shepherd. Crixus is the best dog I have ever had. I can't believe how smart he is. Sadly, she passed away shortly after this photo was taken at the age of 8 years. He is a 3-year-old male German Shepherd. The dog on the right is Elsa. She is also a purebred German Shepherd, but due to her coat type her ears were too heavy and just would not stay up. They love to have their picture taken. To make a long story short, the end result was that he had a very large nearly cantalope size splenic tumor which ruptured ultimatley causing his untimely passing. He was playing and being his usual self at 8 in the morning and not even 12 hours later, he took his last breath. This came from our vet. As soon as Ace began to mope around we called our vet right away. They told us to bring him in right then, which we did and they got right down to business. He weighed his usual 90 pounds and had no hight temperature, but was breathing hard and would not move. Our vet examined him and said he was in a very grave state. His gums and tongue were fading in color so much so that she called the emergency vet and alerted them to our impending arrival. We took him there and they too, were on the ball. They did an ultrasound and it confirmed our vet's suspicions. He passed away before the ultrasound was even complete. These tumors grow very rapidly and 9 times out of 10 they are cancerous. We never had the first clue. Our hearts are broken, and we miss him terribly, but if this at least helps raise awareness, then our Ace's loss was not all in vain.

In fact, beyond being simply pets, this dog breed is closely related, for example, with the professions of police, rescue, tracker, and, in short, any related to security. The characteristics of the German Shepherd are very defining and make its specimens easily recognizable. In this sense, they can be found entirely black, although it is usual that this color is mixed with brown coffee. In addition, males usually weigh between 30 and 45 kilos and have a height of between 60 and 65 cm, while females range between 22 and 32 kilos and grow to between 55 and 60 cm. The average life expectancy of these animals is between 9 and 13 years. Everything depends on the quality of life of the animal. If you know this dog breed well, you will understand that their hindquarters have become lower and lower over the years, which often results in hip dysplasia. Unfortunately, this is something that hospitals and veterinary clinics see daily. There are some reasons why a German Shepherd can be the ideal family pet. However, it is essential to have enough space for him to feel comfortable when moving around. It should not be forgotten that this is a rather large breed whose specimens can reach and exceed 40 kilos in weight without great difficulty. German Shepherds are, in general, very active dogs and, above all, easy to train because they are also intelligent and obedient. In addition, they quickly learn to communicate with humans and are very expressive, which helps to meet their needs better. Related Posts:.
