The response of the other puppies on the Umbrella Stability Test ranged from slowly moving away from the umbrella to cowering and running away from the umbrella. Again, we did not have a puppy raiser to train him and we looked to a service dog organization we volunteered with in the past. We contacted Tender Loving Canine Assistance Dogs and set up a meeting to have Buster tested, and he passed with flying colors. They fell in love with Buster on the spot and adopted him into their POOCH program where he is being trained at a prison to be a service dog. We kept our Lil Bear to train as a service dog. From the beginning, we knew he was a little softy, but he passed the retrieval test with flying colors so we had high hopes for him. We started taking him on outings to the book store, grocery stores, and shopping malls. It is important to note that officially there is only one type of Boxer breed that has different bloodlines. Sometimes, these bloodlines are mixed, while other times they are absolutely pure. There are no variant types or official sub-categories in the official sense. However, there are plenty of morphological differences among Boxer breeds to consider. I am not the only one that thinks that labs are the best thing to have happened to us. However, not all Labradors are equally as popular, with the Mini Lab being one of the most controversial variations. The term Miniature Labrador is used to describe Labrador Retrievers that are smaller than the Standard Labrador breed. They are not recognized as a standard variation of Labrador Retrievers. Miniature Labradors can appear as a result of dwarfism or mixed breeding with small dog breeds. One of the reasons why Mini Labradors are so controversial is their health issues. We shall take a closer look at these and all other care needs you should know about if you are considering getting one. Strictly speaking, this is not accurate. There is no such thing as a standard smaller version of a Labrador. The miniature versions around are either Labradors with the dwarfism trait or mixed Labs. The dwarf versions are what most people refer to when they use the term Miniature Labrador. They are more or less like your average Labrador, with just a few differences in appearance. Here is what you can expect: Size Miniature Labradors vary in weight depending on their origin. Dwarf Labs can weigh anywhere between 30 to 40 lbs, while mixes with smaller breeds can go as low as 20 lbs.
