Do long-haired German Shepherds shed more than short-haired German Shepherds? No, this is a common misconception. Although they shed less than short haired German Shepherds, their coats still require regular maintenance. I have 6 females of my own and about 6 or 7 on co-ownership's at any given time living with other families.
