This name came to us as a result of many of our dogs that had "Diamond" in their registered names and the favorite cut in the precious stone for us is the MARQUIS cut. It just worked out that the full name, "Marquis Diamond" for our Standard Poodles was the right fit. Our poodles and brittanys have full access to our home, our grounds and all areas on our property. Our puppies are born in our den on the first floor of our home and for the first 4 - 6 weeks are raised with us in our house and fully interact with us in our everyday lives. By 6 weeks of age, they are ready to move to their puppy play area in our basement which is adjacent to our grooming room. Our outside puppy play area that is set up with astro turf is the next step for them by 7 weeks of age, they go to the outside play area, weather permiting, a few hours each day. A dog is the only thing on earth that loves you more than he loves himself. We are a small breeder of exceptional companion, multi-generational Australian Labradoodle Puppies. We are located in the central Florida area, minutes away from Orlando and very accessible via all of the major central Florida highways. All of our litters are hand raised in our home, never in a kennel. Our puppies are born in our master bedroom or bathroom, where they remain until they are three and a half to four weeks old. During this early period, we begin using puppy culture techniques in order to help raise very confident, well balanced puppies. At just over three weeks, we introduce a designated potty area, which they often begin finding within a couple of days, we also introduce solid foods at this same time initially goats milk, then a few days later we begin adding raw food. Later they are moved into our main living area, where they are exposed many new sounds, sights, textures and experiences in preparation for joining your family. The majority of our parent dogs share a home with one of our incredible guardian families. Virtually all of our guardians have come to us by way of referral from our existing guardian families - we'd like to think that is indicative of a very positive relationship. By implementing our guardian family team, our mom and dad dogs often live as the single pampered pet of their household. This is consistent in maintaining great family dogs - likely one of the reasons that you are considering an Australian labradoodle puppy. Our guardians are very hands on with the shaping of your future puppy, sometimes even assisting during the birthing process and later with weekly visits to their home - this is good for our momma dogs, their families and of course our puppies. Our visits allow our pups weekly car rides from week one, as well as early handling and socialization in a very safe and controlled environment. Our parent dogs are rigorously health tested prior to being considered for breeding and assessed for their temperament. We have been working with most of our lines for over fourteen years and have continued to refine them. Labradoodles have been intentionally bred in Australia since .Wally Conran, a breeder of guide dogs, was the first breeder, using a standard poodle and Labrador retriever. The main goal was to create a dog that had the laid back nature of the Labrador coupled with the intelligence and allergy friendly coat of the Poodle. As the breed gained popularity, many kennels have bred and cross-bred the Labradoodle. What is an Australian Labradoodle? Over time infusions of some other breeds were added to target smaller sizes and more consistent, lower maintenance coats. The breed then became known as the Australian Labradoodle. Over the years the Labrador and poodle have kept a high degree of function ie agility and freedom of movement within their breeding. Even when the other types of Labradoodles are bred on for generations, the result is not an Australian Labradoodle, as the attributes of the infused breeds were not included in their ancestry. Not all doodles are created equally and it's important to know the differences in types of Labradoodles: Types of Labradoodles F1 -1st generation cross between the Labrador and the Standard Poodle. F1 are most likley to shed because half of it's genes come from a Lab. F1b- is a backcross 1st generation Labradoodle. Since the F1 dogs do shed and can have a wiry type coat, the poodle is bred back to the F1 Labradoodle to correct the coat type. F2- is a 2nd generation Labradoodle. F1 x F1 just bred one more generation. These puppies also shed just like the F1. The F2 generation is the most varied generation and pups will have a variety of looks and coat types. Multigenerational Labradoodles or Multi-gen - When a Labradoodle is 3 or more generations into the breed they are considered Multigeneration Labradoodles.
