Some may have seen i wrote a post about my muppet the other days in regards to his appalling behavior when coming inside the house. .We have tried suggestions on there and he's still mental as ever but we're trying to remain positive and patient with him. .My other issue is this behaviour is now becoming more apparent than before both inside and outside the house.He was normally quiet calm, hypo at times like any lab but was content with his surroundings and listening to us. At the moment he is completely different, he's destroying beds just lost number 4 , he's pulling washing off the line while i'm standing there hanging it out which he's never done we have it guarded off normally , he gnawing on my arms, legs, feet and even his toys are copping it surely he can't be teething at 10 months , he's jumping way more than normal, won't listen to commands which he always has listened too and feels that every time we open the door to go inside he will ignore us and come rushing in and run away so we can't put him outside. The only way we have managed to put him outside is with a treat and slowly walk with him to the door and gentle push him outside, which i feel is praising bad behaviour. Nothing different has changed in our routine, we have breafast, he gets a bone, we go for a walk in early afternoon, have a game later than afternoon then dinner around 5. He also repeated all this bad behaviour at my parents house yesterday when he too pulled washing off there line, nearly knock my father over from jumping up at him and wouldn't listen even to a deep mans voice. .He is desexed, and is getting a good decent walk everyday, only thing i can put it down to is slight separation anxiety, yet there is no whinging or crying like he has when he was a small pup, or his brain is on holidays. .Any help would be greatly appreciated. These are two very distinct cases and we will not discuss the latter here. I discuss what you can do to make their coats as glamorous — and yes, fluffy- as they could be. You easily tell whether their wavy coats are normal or not by checking their parents and really checking their coats. If you have gotten your dog from a good breeder, chances are they will have the full history of the parents and the coat types. If one or both of their parents had wavy coats, then it could be genetic. When is a wavy coat not normal? Sometimes, however, it will not be because of their genetics or nature and it can be traced to something else. Sometimes goldens with curly hair may suffer from a lack of coat growth and the reason may be a problem with their diet such as: Not getting enough nutrients Too much food Too little food Also, it may be because they are not receiving proper grooming or they are not active enough. By not brushing or bathing your Golden regularly, you are allowing dirt and debris to build up, as well as oils, which can make the hair appear wavy or curlier than normal. Also, matting can occur which is super painful to your dog. This is especially true around the ears. My Golden Retriever, Ellie gets crimped ears and the hair along her butt becomes super curly. It turns out that the curls actually serve a purpose! But, many owners have issues with matting behind the ears, because hair tends to be curlier there. Again, brushing is important, to avoid mats from forming. Today, cropping and docking serve no functional purpose. Once it was unusual to see a boxer with natural ears; now it less common to see one with cropped ears. Other people argue that boxers with cropped ears look mean. We ask you not to discriminate against dogs whose ears or tails are not what you expect them to be when you think of a boxer. Regular veterinary visits and year-round heartworm preventative, general care, feeding and exercise are a must for your boxer. General care should include regular nail trimming, an occasional bath, periodic tartar removal from teeth and quality dog food. Exercise should include a daily walk or other stimulating and athletic activity. The boxer is sensitive to temperature extremes and does not enjoy drafts, summer heat, or cold. While some dog breeds can handle the temperature ranges and fluctuations of being outside for long periods, boxers are not so tolerant and should not be kept outdoors. But, as you know, they were born with long tails. I am glad you asked. This is a point of confusion for many folks. Around the age of days, the blood vascular and nervous systems of puppies become more mature and functional. If we dock amputate tails and dewclaws the thumb like appendage on the inside surface of the paws at days of age the puppies lose only about one drop of blood. And they have very little nerve sensation. But on puppies much older than that the procedure is very different. So what can you do if your puppies are older? No problem. You can have the tails docked at the time of spaying or neutering which can be done as early as weeks of age. Like ear cropping, these things only serve to make them look the way we expect Boxers, Dobermans, Schnauzers, or whatever to appear. Removing these body parts has no other function.
