He is neutered and fully vaccinated and microchipped. Guinness is fully house trained, knows commands like, sit, lie, stay, wait, spin, up, down etc. He is a typical mini poodle, can be anxious, doesnt like fireworks, loud bangs, the hoover and being in the car. But he is also very loving, loves a cwtch up and is very much a watch dog! He does bark at the door quite a bit but with more of the proper training and walks and the right home that could be controlled pretty well. Guinness has unfortunately outsmarted us with the leave command, he will sometimes purposely take something he shouldnt in order to get a treat off you to let it go. Otherwise he is a lovely dog, loves his walks, has pretty good recall, as long as there aren't any other dogs or people around. Best kept on lead if others around until more training is done with that. Unfortunately I haven't been able to give him the walks and indepth training he deserves, for his intelligence level and really need a home that can provide this. Ideally I wouldn't home him with young children, teenagers maybe. I wouldnt suggest living with other dogs as he can get anxious with them. He has been groomed every couple of months and has never been any trouble for them : but hates being brushed at home. Loves a bath though! Basically he just needs someone with more time and resources to give him the life he deserves. He would be fantastic at agility!!! Boy can he jump and sprint! I have owned and loved poodles for 26 years. It was an unexpected turn of events that led me to my first ever standard poodle and also my first ever dog Juan. I have had several other breeds since but have never been without a poodle - I do not think that there is any other breed for me. All my life dogs were my first love, my parents were cat people so no dog in the family while I was growing up. At the age of 17 I started my first job as a trainee pet groomer and still love my job to this day, I have various qualifications and all of them related to animals.
