Unacceptable - Watch Out, Buyer Beware! The owner of this shop has a serious drinking problem and treated our pet like was the groomer from hell. Even though there were many negative reviews, I listened to the positive ones and tried them anyway. Was quoted one price and when they called, doubled the price without calling first. Over dollars for 2 dogs, when it should have been around .I asked why they didn't call first. The owner lied and said that she told my husband. After confirming with my husband and confronting her, she changed the story and told me that she needed double the time for grooming because of a few knots. Then she told me that I neglect my dog because I do not have her on a maintenance plan and said that she could report me to animal control. I spoil my dogs beyond belief and live in a very clean, nice, loving home. I was appalled with her accusation. I budgeted for this visit based on her original price and she robbed me. She also cut my puppy in five different places and now I have to treat her cuts. My vet even stated that I was the fifth person to complain about them recently. I tried out this place and to my understanding from what the groomer informed me of.I'm not going back to this place considering the out come of this knowledge thanks any ways lady.Obivisouly, these reviews were written by bitter people. They have always treated us and our dogs with the up most respect and consideration. I have a toy poodle who was a rescue and was very timid about everything. He does suffer from seizures and they make sure he is well looked after while being there. He has actually come to love going to be pampered. You can tell how much they love animals and if any animal gets injured while being there I have no doubt that it was uncooperative. My vet has also made positive comments about my dogs. Especially his teeth. Now all the vet says is how good his teeth look. I recommend trying them with an open mind. Think twice about bringing your dog here. I have a beautiful Samoyed with a full, white coat and she literally butchered her giving her a puppy cut. Forttunately, I stopped her before she did my entire dog. She told me to come pick her up at after leaving her at AM and she still did not finish when I went to pick her up at 5PM. Gave me a hard time and insinuated that I did not know how to brush her. I brush her every day and this is the fourth Sammy I have had. She and the staff were rude, obnoxiuous and very expensive. Never again! My pups are resuce pups and have spent most of their lives in cages or crates and I specifically told the owner they cant be crated for long periods of time because it will cause them much anxiety. My little girlie cried all night and when I looked at her belly she had burn marks. I took her to the vet the next day and he said they must have been in such a hurrt that they let the clipper overheat and burned my babies bellie. I will never use this company ever again for my grooming. There are several others in Palm Coast that do a great job and my pups dont come home injured. I dont want my pups to fear going to the groomer ever. I worked at this grooming salon off and on for 3 years. I am an experienced professional pet and show groomer of 13 years. I didn't say anything, i figured if she can live with it, i can live without it.I know many great groomers that have worked at dogs choice and quickly left due to the owner and are now successful at other local grooming salons. While I was walking out she used fowl language about me and started laughing I will never go there again I think she only cares about gossip then doing her own job she needs to get her licenses revoked. I dropped him off at 1pm, was told I would get a call when he is done. Then they brought my dog out and they nicked his stomach so I got blood on my hand.My dog has been skiddish since I brought him home.I and my puppy are scarred from groomer's and he will not go back, so don't learn your lesson the hard way like I did.I would have to classify this shop to be the worst in flagler county. None of the groomers have any grooming skills at all. The owner is the worst human I have ever met. She will go out of her way to make you feel worthles. She tells lies about all the girls that have left the shop. They have all left for no other reason than they can't stand the owner. Every one is still working localy and very happily.
