Both pups were stressed when they first came into the rescue after this major life change, but they have acclimated well to their new foster homes. Chico is currently being fostered with two small dogs both more laid back energy, one is very submissive and one is more bossy, and Chico does well with both. He has a medium energy level and is always up for activity and does great in the car.He has definitely acclimated to our home and dogs. We have one dog that is very submissive that he gets along fine with and another dog that is a bit dominant and he shows him the proper level of respect. He is doing great with house training. Chico would definitely be happy in a home with another dog. He would be great with kids, but he when he gets very excited, he likes to jump so care would be needed with really young children. He has sensitive skin and stomach. Initially he loved this food. His stools were somewhat better than with the pro plan but not great. His skin irritation stayed about the same. This is so expensive. We bought some pretty highly recommended dog food for our pup Blue Buffalo and it was ok at first but you could tell our dog was not jazzed about chomping down two cups a day of this stuff. To the point where we were having to add rice, boiled chicken, anything to make it more appetizing for her to actually eat. After seeing all the plaudits for this brand, I decided to try it out and am so glad I did. We can use pieces of this kibble as treats in training because she loves it so much.
