Instead, put the heat pad under the whelping box, with one end on top of the box. Cover it with a towel to avoid overheating. I would be breeding my dog with a purebred GSD who is registered, but since I cannot register my dog due to this lady's way of giving me limited rights I would not be able to register the pups either.
