We are a small home based breeder of a wonderful family oriented and very versatile breed of dog called the "Australian Labradoodle". Our breeding dogs are considered part of the family and puppies are raised in our home with lots of socialization, love and affection. We only have two breeding dogs that live in our home and all of our other breeding dogs live in wonderful guardian homes. We specialize in breeding medium size and small standard size Multi-Generational Australian Labradoodles and only breed a couple litters a year. Each of our dogs are genetic tested for all 22 recessive diseases found in the Australian Labradoodle. Coat There are basically two coat types: Fleece Textured Coat - This is a soft textured coat much like the texture of an Angora goat. It can have a straight wavy look or a soft spiraling curl look. It is an easy to manage coat. Most of our sundance labradoodles will have the wavy fleece coat. Wool Textured Coat- This coat is like lambs wool in texture. It will have the appearance of loose spiraling wool which opens up easily to the skin. It should not appear dense, thick or tightly curled. Color One of the fun things about labradoodles are how many different colors there are to choose from. Their coats can be a solid color or patterns such as parti, phantom, sable, brindle, abstract and multi. Almost all puppies will fade or darken as they mature. For example chocolate puppies often fade to a cafe' color as they mature. Some common colors for labradoodles are white, cream, chalk, gold, apricot, caramel, buff, parchment, red, chocolate, cafe, lavender, pewter, silver and black! I'll take one in every color please! His purpose in doing this was to breed a guide dog for a blind woman that would also be allergy friendly with a low to non shedding coat because her husband suffered with allergies. He selected these two breeds so that they would be easily trainable and have the intelligence they would need to be a great service dog. Rutland Manor and Tegan Park research centers of Australia set to work on improving the breed. They began by carefully infusing several other breeds into early generations of the cross to improve coat texture, to illiminate shedding, and to improve temperament, conformation and size. They also to wanted reduce known genetic diseases commonly found in the Lab and Poodle. This is a big investment in more ways than one. Know that there are differences in labradoodles and those differences can be huge. A lot of these differences show up in temperament and coat. Make sure you know the pros and cons to the types of Labradoodles listed below. Because of this there will be a wide variety of coats in the litter. From flat, hairy, short coats to very woolly poodle coats. Coats vary in length, thickness and texture and can range from completely non-shedding to shedding. There are inconsistencies within the lines making it very uncertain as to what you will end up with. The puppy coat is more perfected due to the poodle parent, however the results are mixed as the dogs are different. Coats are typically low to non-shedding but may have variety of coats hair or wool most usually. Multigenerational Labradoodle - This is the pup whose parents are both Labradoodles. The coats are allergy friendly and are low to no shed. Sundance Labradoodles breeds multigenerational Labradoodles. Multigenerational Australian Labradoodle - This is the pup whose parents are both Australian Labradoodles. These puppies are the result of generations of breeding time and investment. They are very allergy friendly and have the no to low shedding coats. They have the attributes and characteristics infused for. Originally bred for service dogs, Australian Labradoodles generally have great temperaments. They have consistent quality of coats, conformation and wonderful temperaments! Sundance Labradoodles breeds multigenerational Australian Labradoodles. We raise high-quality Mini Labradoodles as well as a few other breeds. We also have partnered up with several other reputable breeders that raise mini labradoodle pups that meet our strict genetic criteria and testing. The father is a Mini Poodle and the mother is an F1 Labradoodle. The F1B Minature Labradoodles usually have soft hair that is usually wavy or curly. Thes puppies are considered semi-hypoallergenic since they shed minimally. These puppies can be a good fit if a person that has mild pet allergies. Once F1B Mini Labradoodles reach 6 months old they require to be groomed once every 8 weeks or so to keep their fur healthy and to stop matting. Adult F1B Mini labradoodle dogs range in size from 14 inches in height and pounds in weight. The average life span is typically years of age. The F1BB puppies usually have curlier coats and will be totally hypoallergenic. Once the F1BB pup is 6 months they will need regular grooming every 6 to 8 weeks. F1BB Puppies are usually slightly smaller than F1B puppies and range from 12 inches in height and pounds in weight. Mini Labradoodles are known for their intelligence and the ability to be trained very easily. Every day I realize that all the time I invested in training her since the very first day she came has been more than worthwhile. Every single day we go run 6 Km at in the morning. I am training her to search and find hidden objects on command and from time to time, when we walk in a trail with the kids, they hide and I make her find them on command. She is doing great, I love to prepare her food. Feeding her is not an extra job, we just give her what we happen to have in the fridge and keep her diet balanced, just as another family member! We rescued Emma, a black, long-coated GSD at 5 weeks of age that was in very bad shape: thin to the bones and full of worms. She is now 12 weeks old and since day 1 we were very strict about proper crate training and yes, a couple of weeks of sleepless nights for me , the sitting and waiting ritual at feeding time and before coming in and out the house to the garden. Even though she was in a very bad shape, thanks to all the info from your site we offered her leadership and clear rules before affection. By the end of the first week she would pee on command , and do the sit-stay-come exercise. She's never peed inside her crate. Only once when she was weeks old she barked at our kids Lia, 5 and Daniel, 7 in a dominant tone. I was very close so I was able to correct her immediately. Since then I frequently make the kids feed, touch her and her food while she's eating and practice the sit-down-stay-come exercise. No more signs of dominance. Now that she's done with her shots she walks and runs with my wife and me daily and walks very nicely without pulling and accepts our lead very nicely. The only quirk with this puppy is that she likes poop! I ruled out parasites and bad nutrition, it's just that she likes poop , after all, she's a dog. After reading some of Bruno the Boxer's stories I was relieved. Less and less often do we see her attracted to the poop and hope she'll outgrow this behaviour. We get to practice often the "Drop it! Thanks to your site we also decided to keep our bedrooms and the play room off-limits. Now I wouldn't recommend getting a dog until the kids in the family are very well informed and able to be consistent, very consistent with rules. I was adopted out from Valley Animal Center as a puppy but was returned a few years later when my owners were moving and couldn't keep me. Each year, I turn older and older as I wait for my furever home. I love to play with toys and absolutely adore when people give me attention and love. I'm generally a calm boy who would love to just lay with you on the couch and be smothered in love. Of course, I enjoy a good play time that has me using all my energy!
