Little guy is very pick like most French bulldogs are but I am happy to say Royal Canin passed the test. He loved it and I will be purchasing in the future. Provides beneficial nutrients he needs. His coat is super shiny. Loves the flavor off bat. Yet it is pricey but we want the best for our little guy. The only thing that is preventing me from rating this 5 stars is the size of the bag. It needs to come in 5 or 10 lb bags. My only suggestion would be to buy it in a larger size bag. For the first 4 months of her life, we spent so much money at the vet for her chronic stomach issues. We tried everything. Kibble, home-cooked meals, JustFoodForDogs, you name it. Nothing seemed to work. Our vet recommended rhis food because like Corgis, Frenchies tend to have sensitive tummies, too. Thank you, Royal Canin! Just wish it were a bigger bag than the 3lb bag. Our English Bulldogs have been on Royal Canin their whole lives, they are 11 and 10yrs old. Up until about a month ago, he was having some sensitive skin and allergies and his gas was just eye watering. I was recommended this brand by a family member and figured I would do the switch. I was very skeptical on what the brand promised for the frenchie breed less smell, less gas, etc but after a couple days I noticed a huge difference. I truly believe they had the right idea to make the kibble a tad bit bigger since frenchies like to INHALE their food which obviously leads to a lot of gas. Not only does he like the food, but I have noticed he slows down while feeding and actually chews his food. And i do too! His coat is shiny, no allergies and best of all, he does not smell! He was so gassy, but once on this food he smells good and his poopies are less stinky! We all are happy! Royal Canin French Bulldog is an amazing product. This kibble is so perfect, I feel like it was custom made just for my boy! First off, the shape. It looks exactly like a cashew, but it's made that way for the frenchie to be able to pick up easily and chew. Also they explain how everything is tailor made for this specific breed. Protein content, the proper nutrition mix for their skin and digestive health. And on top of all that it must taste really good because my boy couldn't wait to get to it and gobbled it right up. I definitely recommend this food if you are a French Bulldog owner as it can definitely be difficult to get the right fit with this breed. Royal Canin does their breed research and puts out a premium product, apparently one we'll be sticking with. Royal Canin is known for their bite sizes made specific to breeds, the French Bulldog Adult is curved and huge! I still presented it to my Frenchie and he showed interest in it but it took him time to eat it, one big piece at a time, making a crumbly mess. He ate it the first 2 days, which took him quite awhile to eat because of the size, but, after the second day he refused to eat anymore of it. Would you want to have to work so hard to eat? I thought Royal Canin knew what they were doing with breeds, if so maybe they should make a smaller version for the Frenchies? Especially with their digestive issues. What a difference!! I noticed that Royal canin French bull dog ingredients are not good. The ingredients have a lot byproduct which is not good at all. After read bunch stuff online about Royal canin looks like cash grab for Frenchie owner. Do your research and look up the ingredients please! You get high quality dog food like orjien, Acana for same price. Depending on the diva level frenchie you have this kibble is worth a shot. I have a Mariah Carey level diva so it was veryyyyy hard to get her to try this kibble but I had success. I did have to cover it with her protein and probiotic, in the end her bowl was clean. Which is always a great sign. Plus I didn't notice any extra gas from the new food. In fact her gas was much less. A blessing as you know frenchies have deadly farts haha. So all in all give a shot who knows maybe your little diva will love it like mine does. I am going to throw this out and buy something else. I liked the cashew shape of the kibble easy for Cannoli to chew. I also like like that Royal Canin French Bulldog Adult Dry Food is tailored to the Frenchie breed and highly recommend it to fellow Frenchie owners, family and friend's. Cannoli is above average size for a Frenchie at 38 pounds so he requires more than the suggested serving chart on the bag. Gunnar just loves this food! He is a bit of a fast eater and the size and shape of these helps slow him down. He seems to like the taste, and my other Frenchie on a Rx diet is always trying to steal his food, so it must be good.
