Tennessee is a great place to live with an English bulldog. How do you breed for a healthier English Bulldog? Like all things in life, breeding for health is simply a matter of priority. We are blind to many of the breed priorities that distract other breeders from improving the health of the English Bulldog. We focus on health and personality and very little else. We are not interested in winning a blue ribbon in the show ring. Rather, we test for things like elongated soft palates, narrow tracheas, stenotic nares, luxation in the patellar tendons, heart defects, cherry eye, optic cilia, entropion, ect. We focus and prioritize creating healthy bloodlines, therefore our bulldogs are typically much healthier than the breed as a whole. After breeding for health, what other priorities are you focused on? Our true desire is to create the perfect family bulldog. We also believe a bulldog bred for the correct personality is essential to the family unit as well. A Bruiser Bulldog is bred for intelligence and playfulness. We want our bulldogs to be full of personality and some quirk. We believe a full personality along with a little stubbornness is the true North star of the bulldog breed and is what makes the unique among other breeds. We look for these personality traits in our adult bulldogs and continue to create bloodlines that reflect these qualities. What are the steps of your adoption process if I am located in Tennessee? I am familiar with common and uncommon health problems they may face so when my boyfriend and I decided we were ready to adopt our own english puppy finding a reputable breeder that prioritizes health was most important to us. Erica and Mitch of Bruiser Bulldogs are just that. They are experienced, ethical and quality breeders. I was referred to them by my friend that I trust after I saw their gorgeous healthy puppy. Our Puppy Primrose is the light of our lives! Bruisers was there to assist us every step of the way. We would highly recommend Bruisers Bulldogs to anyone looking for their own happy, healthy pup! Leah H. We were lucky to have come across Bruiser Bulldogs and even more so the fact that they were near our family and hometown made it even better. We have had Clementine Callie for four months now, and she is a wonderful dog. Her personality is amazing, and I think part of it is breeding and the other part is Erika and her family lovingly raising the puppies in their home with plenty of attention and snuggles. I also was impressed that, rather than send the puppies out right at 8 weeks, Erika kept ours for a few extra weeks because she was tiny and not read to leave her mom yet. It's that care that differentiates Bruisers from other breeders. Emily R. Erica was easy to work with thru the entire process from application to adopting and now beyond as we host our new family member, Chief. Her on-call support and willingness to provide open, honest advice to all of our questions and concerns continues to be appreciated. We would highly recommend Bruiser Bulldogs to anyone looking for an English Bulldog to join their family. Elizabeth W. Lady L. They are experienced, responsive and knowledgeable about all things bulldog related. They went above and beyond for us and are truly dedicated to all of their pups! We love our little girl so much and would recommend Bruiser to anyone looking for a healthy beautiful bully. Jonathan E. Erica and Mitch are trustworthy, excellent communicators, fair, passionate, and produce the best bulldogs. We were at the top of the waiting list for months and Erica reached out every litter to see if we were finally ready for a bulldog. When we were, she was very easy to work with. Her knowledge on bulldogs is outstanding. We had many questions on the process and she always knew what was best for the puppy. We've had Penny formerly Blair for two months and she is very healthy, energetic, playful, and sweet. She is great with other people and dogs. We are so happy with our pup. When we are ready for bulldog 2, we will only consider Bruiser Bulldogs. Mitch C. Bowser was born April and is an integral part of our family. When we were first exploring English Bulldog breeders our biggest concern was the overall health of the dogs. We decided to work with Erica at Bruiser Bulldogs because we liked their focus on improving the breeds breathing abilities and the fact that the puppies are raised within her family environment before coming home with their new owners. Bowser also breaths clearly and our vet was impressed with his overall health from the moment we brought him home. All that said we know English Bulldogs have a predisposition to many health issues and that his current health can not predict the future. With that In mind its important to start with a breeder that open to answer any of your questions as Erica has ours, and that strongly believes in improving the breeds overall health profile. Adam B. My sister ended up finding Bruiser Bulldogs and we knew right away that they were the breeder for us. In September we ended up driving 9 hours to pick up two Bruiser bulldog puppies- one for my husband and I and one for my mom. Jackson and Penelope have been nothing but a joy. They are both very athletic and healthy. They are also HUGE snugglers and always want to be with you. It is an absolute pleasure having these two bullies in our lives! Erica is very knowledgeable about the breed. She is very hands on throughout the process and is just overall a kind and honest person to work with. With all that being said I cannot recommend Bruiser Bulldogs enough! Collyn C. One of the reasons we chose Bruiser Bulldogs was due to the claims about breeding for health. During our first visit at our vet's office, he told us that our pup was one of the healthiest English bulldogs he had ever seen. He is healthy, happy and social. Would recommend to anyone. Christina S. We seen our dog on their website and sent them an Email. Mitch called us and personally walked us through the process and made sure we had the right dog for our family. We couldn't be happier when we picked up our dog Ramsey, Erica made sure we had everything we needed and then some. They are truly amazing people who breed truly amazing dogs! Jim T.

Everything by Chris Christensen is great, but these brushes are perfect for all of your daily grooming needs. These are some other grooming tools you will want to have on hand. This seat-belt helps protect your pup in car rides. The harness style ensures that the belt would not pull on their neck in case of an accident. We recommend a travel-crate like this one for puppy pickup. It is collapsible, and can be secured using a seatbelt during travel. This is another option for puppy pickup and travel while they're small. The belt on the inside hooks to your dog's harness to keep them safe in case of an accident. Although we get most of our treats from Life's Abundance, these are some other toy and treat options that we love. There are risks associated with some of the other styles. Great option for storing food and treats. In general, most Doodles are not very food-motivated, but not always. If you have a Doodle who tends to eat too fast, this bowl will make eating a puzzle, and will slow them down. If you enjoy hiking or camping with your pup, this backpack is a great way for them to carry their own supplies. Our dogs love this, and it makes them feel like they have a job to do. We love this front-hook harness for leash-training purposes. Your pup will love this bed. It is super comfy, and machine-washable. This is a lifesaver! Hook it on to your leash to ensure that you are never out of baggies when you take your pup for a walk. This door mat is great! We love it so much we bought one for each door. We get the SuperChewer box, which provides us with several extremely durable toys for our dogs to love. If the toys alone weren't enough, the healthy snacks and treats that are included are great as well! It has a an adjustable strap that can attach to a leash, bag or stroller. Super convenient. I use these in the car, at the doors and in the crates. They don't slip around on tile, and are a must on rainy days! They are super absorbent, machine washable, and extremely durable. They are engraved front and back with up to 8 lines of personal information. Our puppies need the small size. I like this one because it is long enough that I don't have to bend over. It also has "teeth" on it, so it doesn't close and rip my grass. Harnesses are a must when walking puppies! They prevent throat injuries while learning to walk on a leash. This brand guarantees their products, even if chewed! Please secure your pets when traveling. This seatbelt is adjustable and very easy to use. I recommend using it with a harness to avoid neck injury. One end clips on to the collar or harness and the other end clips in just like a human seatbelt. We highly recommend this lifetime membership for anyone that owns a dog or puppy. It is everything you could ever need to train your dog. Contact Prepare for Your Australian Labradoodle Puppy Bringing home your new puppy is one of the greatest joys, and planning ahead and having what your new puppy will need are keys to a successful beginning. While it is great fun to buy lots of toys and pet beds and cute collars for your new family member, the greatest gift that you can give this furry baby is to prepare yourself with the knowledge of raising a dog. It is very important to think about your puppies first week with you in the most quiet and peaceful manner you can imagine. The following tips will help establish a good foundation relationship between you and your new pet. Good idea. Your puppies first few days would be best suited to having as much of your attention as possible and as calm of a schedule as you can manage. Your puppy will adjust best if you keep company to a minimum for the first days. Establishing a routine for feeding your puppy three times a day and a designated "crate training" time each initial day will serve both your family and your puppy well. It is very scary for a puppy to come into a new home and be left alone for many hours at a time. While it is fine to leave the puppy for a little while each day, it needs to be done in a manner that will be conducive to helping your puppy adjust well. If you have children, be sure to read books and watch videos about children and dogs. The puppy is not a new toy, and the children need to be very respectful of the new puppies space and sleep schedule. The puppy is not a toy. Watch for signs that your puppy needs to use the restroom. Puppies have very little bladder control and will need to take frequent breaks to eliminate. The key times to be watchful and initiate potty breaks are: after eating, drinking, playing, or waking from sleep. Do not ever punish your pet for an accident. Just pick him up and redirect him. Then praise him each time he goes outside. Never ever take a puppy that has not been fully vaccinated to a retail pet store. Vaccinations will usually be completed by 16 weeks and your vet can inform you of the timeframe that your pet will have the full coverage of the vaccinations. Pet stores are frequently the culprits of a puppy being exposed to harmful diseases that are life threatening. Be sure you have read a few books to understand what typical "puppy behaviors" look like. A few normal puppy behaviors include: nipping, chasing, chewing, and barking. Good pet owners will have a plan in place to address these issues in a manner that is positive and will redirect the behavior. Like children, puppies respond best to repetition. Australian Labradoodles are particularly sensitive in nature and do not usually require harsh discipline. Additional supply list info that is more specific is on the Homecoming Prep link above. You can choose from an airline kennel plastic enclosed or a wire kennel. Without this, your puppy will exhaust himself, be naughty, not listen, and wear your patience thin! Their cute little mugs will only take them so far! Also, to make house-training easier, we use an Exercise Pen! We will be providing you with complete instructions on how we house-train our puppies here at Magnolia Labradoodles! You can read about that here! Food and Water Dishes Non-breakable, non-chewable, tip-proof, and easy to clean. We recommend stainless steel or heavy ceramic bowls big enough to be used when your puppy is full grown, or heavy enough to not be picked up, pushed around, or tipped over. The Slopper Stoppers, do exactly what they say, no slopper and no playing in the water!!! We also recommend that you purchase a harness for your new puppy for potty trips on your way home. Young puppies should never have a leash attached to their collars as this can cause damage to their necks and also encourage puppies to pull when walking them. Puppies grow quickly, so we recommend having a couple small, lightweight, adjustable harnesses that are easy to snap on and off. Having a lightweight four to six foot leash to start out with will give them great beginning exposure to leash training. Same rules apply! As a word of caution, we do not recommend retractable leashes. They can pose a danger to puppies and their families. Enrichment and Chew Toys Your new puppy will come home with stuffed Kong animal. We especially love the Kongs that can be stuffed, find that here! Any of the puzzle toys are also excellant for your new puppy! A wire comb Greyhound brand type comb is awesome to check for any small mats that could be starting. It will go from the skin to the ends of the hair and grab onto any dead hair that needs to come out. A nail trimmer to keep the ends of his nails short is helpful, or you can ask your Vet to trim nails at each visit as you go through your puppy vaccination series, and ultimately have your groomer trim them at each grooming visit. The ALAA has a great grooming video and printable instructions that you should share with your groomer when they are older! Positive Training Books.

Shepherds have quick minds and are easy to train, making working with this breed both fun and challenging. As with training any dog breed, establishing your role as the leader of the pack from the very start is important. Leadership Leadership, however, should not be thought of as a strong-fisted dictatorship which only involves giving orders. A leader leads the way, points out where you are going and handles any problems that may come along the way. I will take care of everything! So, right from the beginning, you want to start with simple, verbal commands that convey a clear message. Here are some samples: 1. She will automatically sit while looking up. Put the food down and when she leaps for it, pick the bowl up again. As you are housebreaking your German Shepherd puppy, your training should include a questioning word to signal going out to use the bathroom. This will take a lot of patience to get through, but keep trying. Who gets to go first and who has to wait, is a subtle cue for your dog about who is the leader and who is in charge. The Online Dog Trainer video program also contains a video that clearly demonstrates how to effectively proceed with this procedure. Consistency As with any training, consistency, consistency, consistency is the key to success. Give your puppy training each day and make sure to reinforce it with positive praise. Also make sure that your puppy is getting an plenty of exercise to burn off any excessive energy that would keep it restless and into trouble with bad behavior. When Trish brought Ovechkin home as a 4-month-old puppy, she never imagined the violent and territorial monster her German Shepherd would grow up to become. Knowing that Cesar Millan is experienced in rehabilitating aggressive dogs, Trish calls him in to help her beloved Ovechkin. On their first meeting, the dog is so determined to bite Cesar that Cesar has to protect himself by creating a barrier with a spare tennis racket. Instead, he returns with reinforcements. You can always check our schedule here. This time, Cesar has his pack of alpha dogs and a knowledgeable assistant on his side to help him. But now that Cesar has his pack and assistant with him, Ovechkin goes into flight mode instead of fight. With the help of his assistant and the other dogs, Cesar is able to carefully corner Ovechkin long enough to slip a leash around his neck. From there, Cesar is able to cautiously muzzle Ovechkin to take away his ability to bite. Once Ovechkin is muzzled, Cesar is able to safely move on to the next step. He officially introduces the German Shepherd to his pack. Once again, the dog is quick to protest, thrashing around violently and vocalizing. By the end of this introduction, Cesar is victorious after putting Ovechkin into a submissive state. As a disclaimer, remember not to try any of what you just witnessed at home. Cesar Millan is a highly qualified animal trainer and professional. Note that even Cesar knew when it was time to back away from Ovechkin and return with reinforcements later for his own safety. He then continued to prioritize the safety of himself, his crew, and the other dogs by carefully leashing and muzzling Ovechkin. If you are ever in a situation where you encounter an aggressive dog, remember to make your safety your top priority. If you can, back away slowly and get to a safe space. Speak calmly and in your normal voice, and do not scream or make eye contact. Running, loud noises, and making eye contact could all trigger the dog to attack. You may need to get creative to use the objects around to create a barrier between yourself and the dog. Once you are safe, call animal control, a certified dog trainer, or a qualified pet professional for assistance. Do not approach the animal unless you are sure you can do so safely. Cesar is immediately given a taste of what the problem is.Watch below to catch this tense showdown. Click here to check our schedule! He even called in a trainer to assist, but the training just wasn't cutting it, which was made clear by the fact that Amigo bit and attacked one of Evan's friends shortly after. Cesar points out that Amigo immediately shows all the signs of an agitated dog - his ears are pointing back, and his tail is low. Sounds like trouble, but Cesar points out the positive of this situation: Amigo is easy to read. This dog is simply reacting to the friends' nervous energy and behavior, and is lashing out and biting due to their tenseness. Cesar's solutions to avoid a dog bite: - Immediate correction after a dog tries to lash out and bite - Pre-emptive correction once you sense a dog is becoming tense and excited - Being aware of the dog's body language ears pulled back, a low tail , and a more relaxed demeanor from visitors Dog bites are very commonplace and can be very dangerous. Though most victims of dog bites can treat themselves at home, it is important to keep a look out for any irritation that may happen, such as overall soreness, skin turning red, puffiness and pus, that may be best served by visiting a doctor immediately to treat the wound and stop an infection. Here are the immediate suggested steps to take care of your wound according to the CDC : For minor wounds: wash the wound thoroughly with soap and water, apply an antibiotic cream or ointment, and cover with a clean bandage. For deep wounds: apply even pressure on the wound with a clean and dry cloth, and seek immediate medical attention. In addition, dogs also need to be monitored for 10 days for signs of rabies after attacking a human. If signs of rabies are shown, seek immediate attention from a veterinary specialist. We have our english lab puppies in every state across the country, even Alaska. We get requests from other countires several times a year for our english lab puppies, but at this time we will not ship out of the country, just too hard on the little english lab puppies. We are within driving distance of Minnesota, Illinois and Michigan. We are about .Michigan really varies. A lot of our English lab puppy families from Minnesota, Michigan, Illinois, Iowa or Indiana will drive up the night before and stay at a hotel when picking up their english lab puppy. This helps break down the drive a bit. Most White labs have a little cream color on the tips of their ears, and some have cream down their backs and on the tips of their tails. Rocky River Retrievers has been careful to select only the whitest puppies for our breeding program. Our labs are strikingly white and have very little if any cream even on the tips of their ears. Our kennel has been rated 1 by The Upper Pawside: We have also worked hard to screen common defects and health problems out of our lines. This means we have done extensive genetic testing, and health clearances on our breeding dogs. We have completely eliminated all dogs that are even carriers from our program. Our goal is to improve the breed. However, they also have great hunting progeny and are very athletic. Some English Labs can be so over done that they have very little if any athletic ability and almost no retrieving drive. We strive for the middle ground which is the breed standard. This way our Labs have blocky heads, can retrieve and hunt, and still have the wonderful lab temperament that makes them safe for kids and other dogs. We think you will love the look of our white labs. This is because strictly speaking they are actually yellow labs. However most of the yellow has been bred out of them over generations through artificial selection. The great thing about this dog is that it was good for retrieving fishing nets in icy waters. Over time however other traits were selectively bred for such as a more robust chest to give the dog more strength, a more otter like tail to use as a rutter in the water and for looks the white spots and paws were mostly bred out of the new Labrador Retriever. Some Labradors are still born with a white patch on their chest and some white in their paws and muzzle. As the dog got more popular chocolate and yellow looking pups were born but most of them were culled at first until they gained greater acceptance in the breed. In each color of the Labrador retriever there is a spectrum of color. Black labs can be a lighter black to dark black. Chocolates can be light brown to dark brown. But Yellow labs have the most noticeable spectrum of color. They vary from a dark red fox red color all the way to white. Also there is a dilute gene that can affect each color as well. If Black Labs have the dilute gene, they have a charcoal color. If Chocolate labs have the dilute gene it can give them a silver color. And if yellow labs get the dilute gene it can give them a slight Champagne looking color that is less noticeable. These three are called Charcoal, Silver, and Champagne respectively. Our labs do not have the dilute gene. The dilute gene is very controversial in breeding circles because some do not believe its a true Labrador trait and therefore is the result of breeding another breed into the line such as a Weimaraner. We are neutral on the subject because the AKC allows these dogs to be registered. Are white Labrador puppies healthy? The short answer is yes. White Labradors by in large are healthy just like the other colors of the breed. There are a few genetic disorders that run in all the colors of Labrador. There are other health problems that can occur in labs but these are the most prevalent. We screen each of our breeding dogs for these diseases before breeding. As for hip displaysia it happens from a combination of genetics and lifestyle. We have our breeding pairs hips tested by the OFA Orthopedic Foundation of America to make sure they have healthy hips and they have the best chance of passing on healthy hips to their children. However, we also council with our new puppy owners to be careful to not let their puppy over eat, and to make sure they get enough exercise as those can be factors in causing hip problems in any Labrador retriever. Are white labs more high energy? Color has nothing to do with the temperament of a Labrador retriever. That comes from which main family group of labs they come from English or American. The American Labrador has been bred to be one of the most versatile hunting dogs on the planet. American Labs tend to have more energy, more athleticism, and more endurance than English labs. They also compete for agility. True English Labs on the other hand are not very athletic at all. They are more of a family pet or a lap dog. Much of their retrieving drive has been bred out of them. They are very gentle and calm. They get tired easy and tend to get overweight of not kept on a strict diet. They have a more blocky head and chest and are shorter than American Labs. They compete for Show titles because of their good looks and calm attributes. You can find white Labradors that are fully on the English side and white labs that are on the american side. Our labs are a mixture of both. We strive for a strong dual purpose dog that can hunt, hike and retriever, but also is calm with children and other dogs. The breed is well proportioned and strong with a sturdy, muscular, slightly elongated body that has a light but solid bone structure. The head should be in proportion to its body and have a little bit of a rounded forehead. The nose is most often black, but blue or liver colors still do sometimes occur. The teeth should meet in a scissors bite. Its eyes are dark and almond-shaped but never protruding. The ears are wide at its base, pointed, upright, and turned forward. However, it is natural for German Shepherd puppies under about six months to have ears that droop slightly. It also has a bushy tail that reaches below the hocks and hangs down when resting. There are three varieties of the German Shepherd: double coat, plush coat, and longhaired coat. It has a double coat made-up of a thick undercoat and dense, slightly wavy or straight outer coat. Most German Shepherd dogs have tan and black or red and black hair, medium in length and tend to shed all year round. There are some other, more rare color variations such as solid black, solid white, liver and blue. The white coat version is recognized as a separate breed by some breed clubs and is called the American White Shepherd. A piebald color has also occurred and is now being called a Panda Shepherd. Discover more about our German Shepherd puppies for sale below! Disposition The German Shepherd is an intelligent and versatile breed. The breed requires an active lifestyle and makes for an ideal companion, protector, and guard dog. Very devoted to its family and home and usually maintains a suspicious demeanor around strangers. German Shepherds can be dominating and assertive towards other dogs, though normally friendly with other pets in the home. Therefore, it is important to begin training your dog beginning as a puppy in order to avoid negative behaviors later. Exercise This breed is very active and athletic. It requires a lot of physical and mental exercise. Without the proper amount of exercise, it can become frustrated and develop negative behaviors. Participating in canine activities such as agility, herding, tracking, and diving is great exercise and fun for the dog. Training Puppy socialization and training are critical, as well as continuing obedience training to ensure the puppy will become a well-mannered adult. The German Shepherd is a highly intelligent companion and extraordinary worker. Use consistent and positive reward-based training for best results. Grooming The German Shepherd sheds regularly and is a heavy seasonal shedder. As a result, it is best to brush them daily. You only need to bathe them when necessary, however, as over bathing can cause skin irritation from removal of oil on their skin. Check their ears and trim their claws regularly. Origin The German Shepherd Dog originated in Karlsruhe, Germany from longhaired, shorthaired, and wire-haired local herding and farm dogs in the mids. Its now famous qualities of intelligence, agility, speed, stealth, and courage were developed not in a police or military academy but in the sheep pastures of s Germany. The breed gained popularity in the United States during the early s due to the canine movie stars Rin-Tin-Tin and Strongheart. Unfortunately, because it is among the German breeds including the Dachshund it suffered a decline in popularity due to anti-German sentiment during and after both world wars. However, due to the rise of modern livestock management and the decline of herding as a dog occupation, von Stephanitz promoted his breed as an ideal K-9 worker and today is therefore the preferred breed for police and military units all over the world. Improper Grooming I have talked about the importance of grooming your Golden Retriever in several of my articles, and I will stress it again here. Brushing your Golden Retriever regularly is a must! I highly recommend daily brushing to remove any dirt, debris and tangles. Not only does brushing stimulate blood flow, but it distributes natural oils to help keep the coat soft and shiny. It promotes hair growth as well. Bathing regularly is important as well to keep the coat clean to promote new hair growth. By not brushing or bathing your Golden regularly, you are allowing dirt and debris to build up, as well as oils, which can make the hair appear wavy or curlier than normal. Also, matting can occur which is super painful to your dog. This is especially true around the ears. My Golden Retriever, Ellie gets crimped ears and the hair along her butt becomes super curly. It turns out that the curls actually serve a purpose! But, many owners have issues with matting behind the ears, because hair tends to be curlier there. Again, brushing is important, to avoid mats from forming. Golden Retrievers who are bred for show tend to have longer and finer coats, whereas those bred primarily for hunting tend to have shorter, wavier coats. Regardless of whether wavy or straight, all Golden Retrievers have a double coat, meaning they have a topcoat and an undercoat. This double coat plays an essential role in what Golden Retrievers were primarily bred to do, hunting and retrieving waterfowl. Without the dense, water-repellent, wavy topcoat, and insulating undercoat, a Golden Retriever would get cold quickly and tire easily when doing what he was bred to do. In recent years, many people have started favouring the long-flowing coat of a Golden Retriever. While a long, soft and silky coat might look beautiful, it is not functional or typical of the breed. According to breed standards , excessive length, as well as soft coats are undesirable. Golden Retrievers are primarily hunting dogs and should be shown in working condition. Whether your Golden Retriever has a wavy or straight coat, you will need to take proper steps in order to keep his coat healthy and looking its best. Feed a nutritionally balanced diet. Do not feed too much or too little. Use supplements such as Omega 3 fatty acids to help nourish skin and coat. Brush and bathe your Golden regularly. Exercise daily. A change in hair texture, however, could be a sign of an underlying health issue, and you should consult your vet. Does your Golden Retriever have curly hair? What about crimped ears? Let me know in the comments below. I would love to hear from you! Jenny I am the proud owner of a Golden Retriever named Ellie. She keeps me busy, and when she is resting, you can find me working on my blog. She is always close by though. I live in Stirling, ON Canada with my husband, and we both enjoy the never a dull moment life with our Ellie. Spread the love. This can take years for some dogs, and it happens on stages. They have straight hair when they are puppies. When their hair grows longer, it can be curly or wavy. There is a small note I must mention here; there is a difference between their hair being wavy or curly and their hair being flat. These are two very distinct cases and we will not discuss the latter here. I discuss what you can do to make their coats as glamorous — and yes, fluffy- as they could be. You easily tell whether their wavy coats are normal or not by checking their parents and really checking their coats. If you have gotten your dog from a good breeder, chances are they will have the full history of the parents and the coat types. If one or both of their parents had wavy coats, then it could be genetic. When is a wavy coat not normal? Sometimes, however, it will not be because of their genetics or nature and it can be traced to something else. Sometimes goldens with curly hair may suffer from a lack of coat growth and the reason may be a problem with their diet such as: Not getting enough nutrients Too much food Too little food Also, it may be because they are not receiving proper grooming or they are not active enough. If they eat good amounts of high-quality foods that give them the nutrients that their body needs, they are active, they have daily exercise, and they have a proper grooming routine, their coats should be perfectly healthy and normal. It is normal for a Golden Retriever to have a wavy coat. Bred to retrieve game on land and water, they need to be ready for harsh conditions like the cold and wet. Whether your dog has curls, waves, or straight hair is down to genetics. A wet Golden Retriever gets cold and tires quickly, which is no use for a dog bred to work hard in the great outdoors. It is entirely normal for a Golden Retriever to have wavy hair. In fact, if your Golden Retriever has flat, loose, open fur, it may not be a true Golden. Golden Retrievers were bred as hunting dogs; they have a dense, thick warm undercoat that insulates them and keeps them heated. The water-repellant topcoat lies flat against the body like a snug jacket and can be straight or wavy, depending on the breeding. However, Golden Retrievers can have issues with their coat, such as excessive fur loss. Golden Retrievers are usually double coated. They have an undercoat of short, dense fur to keep them warm and a coarser wavy water-repellent overcoat. The undercoat acts like Velcro to keep the overcoat tight to the body to keep the heat in and the water out. The Golden Retriever has two significant shedding periods a year but will shed continuously to a lesser extent, which can mean extra work for you. Some dogs shed more than others. Dogs kept outside in a kennel will generally shed less as they are exposed to the seasons. Depending on bloodlines, some Golden Retrievers naturally have thicker fur than others. Dogs bred for showing tend to have thicker coats than those used in hunting. Diet And Nutrition Ensure your Golden Retriever has a healthy diet as this can stop them from shedding too much. As advised by your vet, a healthy diet will keep their skin — and health in general — in good condition. Omega 3 supplements might help to maintain healthy skin and coat. Grooming The Golden Retriever requires regular brushing and grooming. This is not a dog for those who like a low maintenance pet or the very house proud as it sheds a lot — predominantly twice a year in spring and fall, but also all year round to a lesser degree. Brushing your Golden Retriever should be part of your routine from a young age to get them used to it. You may find this time together becomes part of your bonding process. Suggested — Best Dog Brush For Golden Retrievers Brush your Golden two to three times a week to remove any loose hairs, which will otherwise end up on your carpet. While you are at it, make it a habit to check teeth, nails, and ears. Keep Them Clean Your Golden is a muck magnet and loves nothing better than playing in water and mud, as you are probably well aware. It helps if you have an outside tap to hose off your dog after running around outside in the dirt. Keeping your dog clean is essential as dried-on dirt can irritate the skin, causing problems. A hose down with fresh water when they are muddy is sufficient. Try not to bathe your dog too frequently, as they can lose some of their natural coat oils. Always use a special dog shampoo as human shampoo can dry out their skin. Ensure you dry off your Golden Retriever thoroughly as wet fur can become a breeding ground for bacteria, leading to skin infections. This is especially true with Golden Retrievers as they have such a thick coat. American Water Spaniel. Nutrition Grooming Golden retrievers with curly hair are very different from other dogs with curly hair such as Poodles, Labradoodles, or Bichon Frise. Golden retrievers will typically only have curly or wavy fur on certain parts of their bodies, specifically their backs and around their tails. If they are fed too little or too much, their fur may stop growing as quickly which will then cause the fur to become wavy or curly. Thank you Emily T. A lot of dog owners are aware that a non-purebred dog may have different characteristics than a purebred. This is true for Golden Retrievers too! Purebred Golden Retrievers typically have slightly wavy hair, especially if they have longer hair. Their fur will wave or curl up around certain areas of the body such as the back, tail, or ears. Purebred adult Golden Retrievers typically have straight hair on their face and legs. Oftentimes in the dense fur of the rest of their bodies, especially their backs, they may develop small masses of wavy hair that is sometimes even tight and curly. If your Golden Retriever has mostly flat, straight hair with no wave whatsoever as an adult, likely, your dog is not a purebred Golden Retriever! However, there are certain Golden Retriever mixes that will still develop curlier hair on their legs, ears , and tails but not as much in the places that purebred Goldens will have it! Thank you, Karen B. In most cases, if your adult Golden retriever has curly hair it is likely to stay that way for its life. There are a few things however that have helped owners get a bit of a smoother look. Be sure to use a pet blow dryer , a regular blow dryer will be too hot. Use a high-quality conditioner when bathing. Embrace the waves and curls. If your Golden Retriever has always had curly or wavy hair, this is probably caused by genetics and is no problem that you should worry about! If your dog suddenly begins to develop curly or wavy fur, there could be an issue with their coat such as fur loss or even something more serious such as an underlying health condition. Keep in mind, however, that like humans, dogs can experience a change in hair growth and texture during different stages of their lives. Like humans, dogs experience different hair phases during their lives, here are the three phases of hair growth in dogs: 1. Anagen Phase — Active growth of hair 2. Catagen Phase — Phase where the hair stops growing 3. If you notice your Golden Retriever losing a lot of hair, there are several reasons for this including underlying health issues or even common problems such as stress and anxiety. Hormones Thankfully, there are many options a veterinarian can provide that will get your dog to better health in no time! TIP: If you notice your Golden Retrievers fur has suddenly become curly or wavy, or your pup is losing hair or pulling it out, it is best to take them to the vet to check up on their health! If there is a buildup of oils from a lack of bathing or brushing, a Goldens fur is likely to become wavy. NOTE: If a Golden is not being groomed properly it can also become matted, this can become an issue if left for a long time. A change in hair texture is also common if your dog has lost fur or has had to have a section of fur shaved perhaps for a medical procedure. This is why some owners are very cautious about shaving their dogs and become nervous if their dog has to be shaved for any reason. NOTE: It is more likely for double-coated dog fur to grow back in a different texture than it is for a single-coated dog because a double-coat can be easily damaged, this is why Golden Retrievers are not usually completely shaved. The dog could develop issues such as sunburn, insulation problems, or even skin infections. In general, a lot of Golden Retriever owners do not shave their dogs. It is not common for a dog with a double coat to be shaved. Not only because their fur will likely grow back different, but because their coats are specifically designed to regulate their body temperature. Golden Retrievers have some of the best-looking fur of all the dog breeds, this is why Golden owners tend to want to keep their dogs fur looking the best that it can be! Regularly grooming a Golden Retriever can also keep their fur in great condition! It is recommended to brush a Golden Retriever at least once a week and to bathe them every 6—8 weeks depending on how dirty they get and the length of their hair. There are several important steps to take when bathing your Golden Retriever to ensure that their fur comes out looking great after their bath, here are a few key things to consider: Rub over the dry fur first with a wet hand to remove any loose or dead hair. Use a shampoo that will not irritate your dog and that helps in maintaining oil levels. Be sure to use a conditioner, especially if your pup has curly fur! Dry your dog with an absorbent towel. Double-coated, and especially double-coated curly-haired dogs hold more moisture in their fur than other dogs! TIP: Using a wide-tooth comb, or a steel comb on Golden Retrievers is best since their fur is double-coated, this helps prevent tangles and mats, while also getting rid of loose hair, dirt, and dead skin!

These dogs are typically a lovely golden blond and it's not uncommon to find streaks of white on the head and chest. You can find a Mini Goldendoodle for sale in darker colors as well, like caramel, dark brown, and black. If you purchase a Mini Goldendoodle for sale, you will have a constant companion that loves to play fetch, be chased, or just run when those zoomies hit. Expect to dedicate at least an hour of exercise for this dog daily. Since their breeding originates from two water dog breeds, Mini Goldendoodles enjoy the water, so taking them to the pool, lake, or beach will always be a hit. Disposition Opting for Mini Goldendoodles for sale is the perfect choice if you're looking for a sweet, mild-mannered, social pup. These dogs are people-oriented, love attention, and seek a lot of interaction from their owners. Get ready for lots of cuddling — they'll do anything for a belly rub! Miniature Goldendoodles are also great additions to homes that already have pets. These dogs love the companionship of other dogs as much as humans. When properly socialized from a young age, Mini Goldendoodles can even be taught to get along with cats! Training Miniature Goldendoodles are highly trainable thanks to their intelligence and desire to please. It is not uncommon for them to master new commands in just a few sessions assuming you have enough treats on hand. The main challenge of training these dogs is that they are high-energy, easily excitable, and struggle to focus for long. Maintaining short training sessions will help your dog to reach its full potential. Positive reinforcement training is by far the most effective training method for ensuring your dog is disciplined and well-behaved. Grooming Requirements As a poodle mix, this breed requires a little more hair care than most other dogs. While they're famous for low-shedding, that doesn't mean their coat doesn't need maintenance. Regularly brushing your pup's curls is essential for preventing their fur from becoming tangled and matted. It's best to brush your dog at least three times per week using a metal pin brush. The Mini Goldendoodle also has fast-growing fur. For this reason, consider taking the dog to a professional groomer every two to three months. The work of a professional also makes home grooming far less taxing. These dogs tend not to have that distinct "doggy odor" native to other breeds. However, just because your Mini Goldendoodle doesn't smell doesn't mean it doesn't need a bath. You should still regularly bathe your dog to avoid bacteria buildup and infections, and don't forget to check those ears. Why Pawrade? Not all mini Goldendoodles are equal, there are a few different versions to choose from each having a little different genetic background based on the pups parents. We will explain all the differences in Mini Goldendoodle puppies and how they are bred below. We raise all versions of the mini goldendoodle breed. F1 Mini Goldendoodle Pups. A F1 puppy is also known as a First Generation puppy. The puppies mother is a Golden Retriever and the pups dad is a Mini Poodle. This version of mini goldendoodle usually has soft wavy or curly puppy fur. They will shed until they lose their puppy fur, after shedding they will shed a lot less, but will shed. This version is partially hypoallergenic and usually requires low maintenance. F1 mini goldendoodles usually need to be groomed every 6 months along with daily brushing to keep their curly hair from matting and getting tangled. The dogs usually grow up having great temperaments similar to golden retrievers. They usually get about inches high at the shoulder and range in weight from pounds. F1b Mini Goldendoodle Pups. An F1b is known as a second-generation mini goldendoodle with the pups mother being already an F1 Goldendoodle and the pups dad being a mini poodle also. So the difference between F1 and F1b is that the mom is not a golden retriever but an actual F1 Goldendoodle. They also have very soft curly hair but with almost no shedding. This F1b version is semi-hypoallergenic and a better choice for anyone who has pet allergies. The F1b also should be brushed on a daily basis but will need to be groomed more frequently then a F1. A 6 to 8 week grooming schedule is recommended to keep their coat in perfect condition. F1b Mini goldendoodles get around 18 to 20 inches tall at the shoulders and range between pounds in weight. F1bb Mini Goldendoodle Pups. An F1bb goldendoodle is also known as a third-generation mini goldendoodle. This mini goldendoodle version has a coat more similar to a poodle than of a golden retriever. This is because the pup is more of a poodle than a retriever. Making it the very best version for anyone with pet allergies. A 6 to 8 week grooming schedule is required to help prevent knots or matting. This version is super intelligent and loving, and usually seems to have more energy than the other versions of Mini goldendoodles. This version is usually smaller in size, weighing around pounds and only getting inches tall at the shoulders. The smaller size makes them a great size for smaller homes and apartments. Genetics The genetic buildup of dogs plays an important role in their growth. This information will help you to determine or estimate the actual size and weight of your pet. Nutrition A high-quality, palatable diet is necessary to keep your poodle healthy. Similarly, proper nutrition is essential for keeping the coat curly, lush, and soft. During their first year of life, young poodles thrive on dog food labeled for puppies. These commercial foods contain the right percentage of proteins and fats that are needed for their growth. On the other hand, adult poodles which are less than 8 years old require a much more balanced diet with more carbohydrates and fewer fats and protein. It helps you to keep your pups fit optimal weight and increases their muscle and bone strength. Likewise, exercise also helps to prevent certain diseases, such as diabetes. Physical activity can also improve the behavioral and social health of poodles. For example, exercise can eliminate or reduce aggression, destructive behavior, and attention-seeking habits. As an Amazon Associate I earn from qualifying purchases. That is one of many reasons why choosing a reputable breeder is vital. Although genes work in mysterious ways, taller lineage will often equate to taller dogs and vice versa with smaller lineage. I already talked about gender earlier. But as a reminder, choose a female if you want to increase your chances of having one of the smallest Toy Poodles in a litter. Doing so is harmful and abusive. Instead, ensure you are giving your Poodle high-quality puppy food designed for its age. Most Toy Poodles will reach sexual maturity between six and nine months old. That is a bigger issue than many people realize, given that some veterinarians want to wait to spay or neuter a dog until their growth plates close. The reasoning is that it prevents the possibility of improper bone development , as an increase in hormones from the procedure can force the growth plates to calcify prematurely. Toy Poodle sits calmly at the garden. So, you might need to get on the waitlist of your local animal shelter or a Poodle rescue center. My wife and I love playing with our active miniature Labradoodle Max. We want all Oodle puppies to be healthy and happy, have lots of fun and be part of the family. Load More. A toy dog will only be ten inches around its withers shoulders in terms of height. In terms of weight, a toy puppy will weigh approximately 4. The America Kennel Club states that dogs are eligible for inclusion as part of the toy group when not more than 10 inches in height. Standard standing at or above 15 inches Miniature standing at between 10 and 15 inches Toy Poodle who stands at an average of 10 inches in height It is believed that the Toy Poodle was bred from smaller Miniature Poodle dogs. A toy poodle may be a maximum of 10 inches in height at the shoulder to be considered a toy poodle and not a miniature poodle. Whether they stand at 10, 15, or 20 inches in height, the poodle is an intelligent dog that needs time everyday to exercise and stretch its legs. Toy poodles were bred to be the clever companions of city dwellers with condos in the s. Although they look demure, they have the heart of a hunting dog that is always raring to go. However, the toy poodle is not the ideal dog for everyone, as they can be fairly demanding in terms of how much time and money you need to spend on their needs every day. Read on to find out if your home is the right one for a toy poodle to take over! Poodles were originally bred in France starting in the s. Early standard poodles in the s and s would accompany hunters on their hunts for waterfowl and retrieve the birds from the icy cold bodies of water. The standard poodle was highly intelligent, athletic, and well-loved. A smaller version was sought after by truffle hunters and circus owners. As a result, the miniature poodle was developed for its agility and slightly smaller size. By the s, the even-smaller toy poodle we know today was developed. According to the breed standard, an adult poodle is considered a toy if it is a maximum of 10 inches in height at the shoulder. Miniature poodles stand at a maximum of 15 inches in height, and the standard poodle stands anywhere over 15 inches in height. The height restrictions are enforced strictly, especially if the dog is being entered into competitions. Whether they are standard, miniature, or toy, the poodle is well-loved and ranks as the seventh most popular dog breed by the American Kennel Club. Toy Poodles At Birth At birth, toy poodles are miniscule and typically weigh in at under a pound! Toy poodle puppies are very fragile during this time. Toy Poodles At 3 Months At three months old, most toy poodles will have grown to a little over two pounds and will be tottering around on the tiniest of paws. They will begin putting on weight more quickly following this growth stage. Toy Poodles At 6 Months At six months old, most toy poodles will have gained a fair amount of weight and will be nearing the height they will end up being as an adult. By this time, they will be very active and giving you a good run for your money! Toy Poodles At 9 Months At nine months old, your toy poodle will likely be nearly fully grown. Some toy poodles may bulk up slightly and put on an additional half of a pound or so by the month mark. While the toy poodle is an adorable fluff ball, it is not the ideal dog for everyone or for every home. It takes a special kind of person to care for a toy poodle so the dog can live a full, healthy, and happy life. Here are the big questions to think about if you are considering a toy poodle based on their size and breed. Toy poodles are insanely intelligent. They require as much mental stimulation as a standard poodle twice or three times their size. This means they need to be trained properly to follow a variety of commands as well as receive daily mental stimulation. Mental stimulation is key to preventing your toy poodle from becoming bored and destroying anything in its reach or from becoming sad and moody. You can mentally stimulate your toy poodle by giving it puzzles , lick mats , and snuffle blankets. Even though toy poodles are tiny compared to standard poodles, they need the same amount of exercise time. One to two hours of daily physical exercise will help keep your toy poodle active, healthy, and sufficiently worn out. A toy poodle that is brimming with energy from being cooped up in an apartment or condo all day will suffer from anxiety issues, behavioral problems, and start to take their frustration out on their surroundings by chewing on your valuables and yapping the day away. Daily hikes, walks, obstacle courses, or runs around town will keep your poodle happy and healthy. Toy poodles are a fraction of the size of standard poodles. However, they require the same amount of grooming. Poodles do not shed their hair as frequently as many other dog breeds, which has led many people to incorrectly calling them hypoallergenic. No dog is truly hypoallergenic, as all dogs shed their hair and dead skin cells. Still, poodles are as close as you could come to having a hypoallergenic dog. That being said, they need to have their coats brushed once a day—not to remove loose hair, but to prevent knots from forming in their thick curly coats. Every six to eight months, your toy poodle will also need to go for a haircut to prevent their coat from getting too long and matting. Finally, poodles are excellent swimmers, and the toy poodle is no different. However, if their coat gets wet, they need to be dried and brushed immediately to prevent their coat from cording. Toy poodles are not large enough dogs to withstand the attention of small children. Toy poodles fare best in homes with no children or older children who are responsible enough to handle such a small dog with care. Yes, the size of your poodle will actually affect its lifespan. The smaller your poodle is such as the toy , the longer their lifespan will be. Standard poodles live for 10 to 12 years on average, miniature poodles live for 12 to 15 years on average, and the toy poodle lives for 15 to 18 years on average. Is there a difference between the size of male and female toy poodles? Male toy poodles are slightly larger than female toy poodles as is common in almost all dog breeds. However, because the breed is so small, the difference comes down to just a few pounds. Males typically weigh 7 to 10 pounds, whereas female toy poodles weigh 6 to 9 pounds. Is there a difference between toy and teacup poodles? Toy poodles are a recognized breed by the American Kennel Club separate from the standard and miniature poodles, whereas the teacup poodle is not. A teacup poodle is considered to be just a very small toy poodle. Can you get toy varieties of poodle crossbreeds? If a breed is successfully crossed with a standard poodle, it can be crossed with a toy poodle to get a smaller variety. Obviously, logistics and safety must play a role as a giant breed, such as the Great Dane, will produce a puppy that would be too large for a toy poodle to carry or safely give birth to. There are many varieties of poodle crosses that can produce adorable toy versions such as the corgipoo , the Aussiedoodle , goldendoodle , and the Whoodle. A toy poodle can be a maximum of 10 inches at the shoulder to be considered a toy poodle and not a miniature poodle. Toy poodles are every bit as intelligent, agile, and needy as their larger counterparts. Helps ease anxiety in their new home. We love using Bully Sticks to help divert these unwanted behaviors. Check out more of our favorites on our New Puppy Checklist. Colby Colby Morita has been raising and training guide and service dog puppies for over 13 years. Colby has been writing to the PuppyInTraining. Teacup and tiny toy poodles are still toy poodles, only smaller. There is no separate classification for them. Height: A puppy will grow at least 8cm more from the 8 week stage until maturity. Meaning a puppy that is 13cm tall at 8 weeks will be at least 21cm at adulthood. If you want a small not so tall teacup, make sure the puppy you are thinking of buying is no taller than 13cm at 8 weeks. Puppies may or may not grow very much between 8 and 12 weeks, depending on if they are in the teacup range or not. This is why we choose to keep our puppies until they are 10 to 12 weeks of age so we can better judge an approximate adult size. Weight: Teacup poodle puppies are born very small, they usually weigh between 70g and g at birth. Most puppies in a litter are born about the same size, give or take a bit. They may even grow and gain weight at the same rate as each other. It is impossible to tell what the adult size of a 2 to 3 week puppy will be. Parental genetics are a good indicator but not an absolute. We cannot be sure what its adult size will be until the puppy is at least 6 weeks of age and even then it is a guesstimate. We will have a much more accurate estimation when the puppy reaches 12 weeks of age. Teacups and tiny toy poodles are usually finished growing in height by 6 to 8 months but will still fill out a little more. We do our very best to estimate the adult size of our puppies based on previous litters if applicable , sizes of parents and their ancestors as well as the toy poodle growth chart shown above. Genetics is very complicated and recessive genes can come into play. Like humans, female puppies tend to be a similar size to their mother, whereas male puppies tend to be the same size as their father or grandfather. They are unable to look after themselves and are fully dependant on their mothers as the only senses they have are taste and touch. Toy Poodles spend majority of these 2 weeks sleeping and nestling as close to their mother as they can. Their muscles are not developed and they cannot walk. At the beginning of this period they will get their hearing and sense of smell. Their eyes and ears open so they become much more inquisitive about the world. They start to interact with litter mates, bark and walk a little as their muscles start to get stronger. Toy Poodles start to become more aware of their surroundings and start to interact with others. By 8 weeks, they have full use of their senses and usually go to their new home. Many Toy Poodles undergo a big growth spurt at this age as they are only eating puppy food now. At this age, your Toy Poodle will be nearly their full adult size. They also reach sexual maturity during this age period. Female Toy Poodles go through their first heat if they are not desexed. At this age Toy Poodles are extremely active and also very inquisitive. They love exploring their world and learning new things. Unfortunately, this is the age where you might start having problems with your Toy Poodle as it is the adolescent stage. Toy Poodles may start displaying some regressive behavior like not listening to your training commands, being a bit aggressive or chewing up stuff. This is especially the case if your Toy Poodle is not desexed as their hormones will start to kick in. Further Reading.

Google image SEO best practices Google provides several Search features and products that help users visually discover information on the web, such as the text result images , Google Discover, and Google Images. While each feature and product looks different, the general recommendations for getting images to appear in them is the same. You can optimize your images to appear in Google's search results by following these best practices: Optimize the image landing pages Help us discover and index your images The technical requirements for getting your content in Google's search result applies to images too. Since images are a substantially different format compared to HTML, it means there are additional requirements for getting images indexed; for example, finding the images on your site is different, and the presentation of the images also influences whether an image is indexed at all, and for the right keywords. This allows you to use CDNs content delivery networks to host images. If you're using a CDN, we encourage you to verify ownership of the CDN's domain name in Search Console so that we can inform you of any crawl errors that we may find. Responsive images Designing responsive web pages leads to better user experience, since people can access them across a plethora of device types. Refer to our guide to responsive images to learn about the best practices for handling images on your website. However, some browsers and crawlers do not understand these attributes. We recommend that you always specify a fallback URL via the src attribute. The srcset attribute allows specifying different versions of the same image, specifically for different screen sizes. It offers a fallback approach so the browser can choose the right image depending on device capabilities, like pixel density and screen size. The picture element also comes in handy for using new image formats with built-in graceful degradation for clients that may not yet support the new formats. Per section 4. It's also a good idea to have the extension of your filename match with the file type. You can also inline images as Data URIs. For more on this, refer to the section on pros and cons of inlining images on our web. Optimize for speed and quality High-quality photos appeal to users more than blurry, unclear images. Also, sharp images are more appealing to users in the result thumbnail and can increase the likelihood of getting traffic from users. That said, images are often the largest contributor to overall page size, which can make pages slow and expensive to load. Make sure to apply the latest image optimization and responsive image techniques to provide a high quality and fast user experience. Analyze your site speed with PageSpeed Insights and visit our Why does speed matter? Optimize the image landing pages While not immediately obvious, the content and metadata of the pages where an image is embedded can have a great influence on how and where the image may appear in Google's search results. Check your page title and description Google Search automatically generates a title link and snippet to best explain each result and how it relates to the user query. Here are two examples how rich results might look like on Google Images: Use descriptive filenames, titles, and alt text Google extracts information about the subject matter of the image from the content of the page, including captions and image titles. Wherever possible, make sure images are placed near relevant text and on pages that are relevant to the image subject matter. Likewise, the filename can give Google very light clues about the subject matter of the image. When possible, use filenames that are short, but descriptive. For example, my-new-black-kitten. Avoid using generic filenames like image1. If your site has thousands of images, you might want to consider automating the naming of the images. If you localize your images, remember to also translate the filenames, keeping in mind the URL encoding guidelines if you're using non-latin or special characters. The most important attribute when it comes to providing more metadata for an image is the alt text text that describes an image , which also improves accessibility for people who can't see images on web pages, including users who use screen readers or have low-bandwidth connections. Google uses alt text along with computer vision algorithms and the contents of the page to understand the subject matter of the image. Also, alt text in images is useful as anchor text if you decide to use an image as a link. When writing alt text, focus on creating useful, information-rich content that uses keywords appropriately and is in context of the content of the page. Avoid filling alt attributes with keywords also known as keyword stuffing as it results in a negative user experience and may cause your site to be seen as spam. Opt out of Google Images inline linking If you choose, you can prevent the full-sized image from appearing in the Google Images search results page by opting out of inline linking in Google Images search results. To opt out of inline linking: When your image is requested, examine the HTTP referrer header in the request. Google will still crawl your page and see the image, but will display a thumbnail image generated at crawl time in search results. This opt-out is possible at any time, and doesn't require re-processing of a website's images. This behavior isn't considered image cloaking and won't result in manual actions. Alternatively, you can prevent the image from appearing in search results entirely. Optimize for SafeSearch SafeSearch is a setting in Google user accounts that specifies whether to show, blur, or block explicit images, videos, and websites in Google Search results. Make sure Google understands the nature of your site so that Google can apply SafeSearch filters to your site if appropriate. Learn more about labeling pages for SafeSearch.
