The Samoyed parent breed sheds quite a lot, so the Golden Sammy is not hypoallergenic. However, you can minimize the shedding by brushing your Golden Sammy at least three times per week. Due to their fluffy coats, however, you need to use deodorizing wipes to keep them well groomed in between baths. They have folded ears, which tend to trap moisture.
