However, you can get some members of the cross breed who are a little taller, smaller, heavier or lighter than these ranges. After all, they tend to be happy, goofy, loving and loyal dogs who relish the chance to interact with their fellow family members. However, Mehnoosh revealed that Booker does suffer with separation anxiety. This is a tough question, as i can only speak to my experience with Mini Bernedoodles. But i know that to be true with many different breeds that were also adopted or purchased during the pandemic. Are Mini Bernedoodle Fussy Eaters? However, the Bernese Mountain Dog is a breed that can have sensitive to certain types of food. Mehnoosh admitted that Booker is a voracious eater. Absolutely not — Mini Bernedoodles are hungry all the time and will eat just about anything if you were to allow them! Booker eats a diet that is inclusive of kibble and freeze fried food. One thing to be mindful of though is that poodle breeds often have allergies with chicken so we like to avoid including any chicken within his diet. However, as a relatively new hybrid dog, your best bet may be a breeder. You should be prepared to answer questions about your lifestyle and home as well as ask the breeder lots of questions. You should ask to see your potential pup with their mother as well as ask the breeder for proof of health screening and veterinarian checks. We may see a more wavey coat in some vs. While the wavey coat may be more appealing in appearance, the curly coat is more suitable for allergy sufferers due to generally being less shedding than the wavey coat. It is difficult to predict these coats as young puppies due to observing a puppy coat vs. Miniature Bernedoodle Temperament The miniature bernedoodle may be more active than the larger Bernedoodle breeds due to the toy or miniature poodle being more of an active breed. They are a highly recommended family dog breed and are tremendous with children due to carrying the genes of the affectionate, loving Bernese mountain dog. While intelligence simplifies training in the mini bernedoodle it can work in a negative sense as well. If training is neglected you may see bad habits develop earlier than in breeds that may not be known to be as intelligent. Therefore it is highly recommended to start training at an early age and be consistent in training exercises. Health Health is possibly the greatest attribute in the F1 mini bernedoodle. Being a smaller size hybrid cross they are the least likely to inherit congenital health problems, with the likelihood of hip or elbow dysplasia being greatly reduced due to the much smaller size. For his mats specifically, we like this slicker brush. You can go back and forth on the mats quickly and it untangles them without Zion even noticing. The pet store brushes were getting stuck in the actual mat and pull. Between those two brushes, you will never have to buy your dog another brush again! Splurge on the good brushes once, than buy a lifetime of cheapies from the pet store. For his teeth, our vet suggested giving him Greenies every few days to help with tartar control and his breath. It takes him a few minutes to chew them and he enjoys the taste. This guy needs serious speed and playtime. If the kids are outside playing, he wants to be there. He is all about that frisbee life! Any sort of high energy, running fast and playing keep away with the ball — Sheepadoodles live for that. This toy is indestructible and flies like a Frisbee! A good game of tug-a-wore followed by some fetch with the Chuck It Toy is favorite activity. It comes with little bags that are attached to the scooper, so the poop is collected directly into the bag. We recently started attaching old grocery bags to the scooper; they work just as well. We are his people and he just wants to be in the same room as us. That is usually his priority! We taught our kids how to be respectful. But the truth is, Zion really just wants to play with the kids at allllll times. This playfulness is a trait of Sheepadoodles and why we were so attracted to the dogs to begin with! Zion has attached himself to our oldest child more than anyone. He sleeps with him and he likes to come pick up the kids from school in the afternoons- mostly so he can sit in his lap all the way home. His love for him is heartwarming stuff!
