These dogs are all about being with "their" people. In fact, this is one of the hallmarks of this dog breed. While French Bulldogs aren't known for barking a lot, they will vocalize when they feel that they need to. Crying is one particular sound that Frenchies tend to make a lot. But because most dog owners — and especially first-time French Bulldog owners — expect a dog to bark or even howl, they often are understandably confused about the meaning of canine crying. What exactly does this even sound like? Why do Frenchies bark very little but cry a lot? Is there anything you can do to make the crying stop? We are going to go into detail with all these questions and more in this article. Listen to the Sound of a French Bulldog Crying In case you are not quite sure if the sound we are describing as "crying" is the same sound you are hearing your French Bulldog make, you can listen to this short video to match up the sounds. In the video, the owner states that the Frenchie is crying out of boredom. But you will notice there are actually a number of different sounds — some are more like a traditional canine whine while others almost make the pup sound like a bird! How do these adorable pint-sized dogs manage to make such a wide range of unusual sounds? More importantly, why would a French Bulldog evolve to chirp like a bird and cry like a human baby? We're about to find out now. Is French Bulldogs Crying Normal? In this French Bulldog owner forum , you can see post after post from Frenchie owners talking about French bulldog crying. If you have been feeling frustrated by this behavior in your own dog, you can easily see from the posts on this forum that this is normal — you are not alone. On the one hand, it can be good to know this is a legitimate and basically "normal" behavior that many Frenchies exhibits. On the other hand, it can be wearing on your nerves to be followed around by a crying dog all day and all night. So why do French Bulldogs cry so much? Let's take a look at what several French Bulldog breeders have to say on this topic. French Bulldog puppy crying is normal As one French Bulldog breeder explains, uring the first week or two after your Frenchie comes to you as a puppy, you can expect a good amount of crying and whining. Your dog is adjusting to all kinds of changes at a breakneck pace. From learning to sleep without littermates and mom to teething to learning the ropes of basic obedience commands, your puppy is going to feel overwhelmed and perhaps anxious. Crying is a natural part of this process. French Bulldog adult crying is normal Another French Bulldog breeder warns prospective owners that Frenchies are a "needy" breed. They are also a noisy breed. French Bulldogs don't just cry and whine. They also snore. They can fart regularly. And some French Bulldogs have been known to scream. With this rather wide and varied menu of sounds in a French Bulldog's regular communication repertoire, the fact that your Frenchie isn't barking a lot may simply go unnoticed. So now you understand that, on some level, French Bulldogs have a tendency to cry. This is a known trait of this breed. But clearly, since the French Bulldog is still the fourth most popular American Kennel Club AKC registered purebred companion canine in America out of nearly registered dog breeds , owners somehow find a way to deal with this sometimes troublesome behavior. Understanding why Frenchies often cry so much is a big step towards achieving this goal. After all, the sooner you figure out the mystery, the faster you can work towards stopping it. Here are the main reasons breeders, owners, and canine veterinarians cite that can cause a French Bulldog to start crying: 1. Your French Bulldog is lonely French bulldogs are a created breed, bred down from larger working fighting bulldogs to their current toy breed size. Your French Bulldog has a long history of accompanying people around town both day and night, lounging in coffeeshops and bellying up to the bar in dancehalls and saloons. So a French Bulldog home alone is going to be a lonely Frenchie indeed. If your idea of a great companion isn't a dog that wants to be with you and ideally on you at all times, you may have an adjustment period to living life with a Frenchie. Your French Bulldog is anxious Just like many dog breeds might bark out of anxiety or nervousness or fear, your French Bulldog is equally likely to cry or whine when they feel unsettled. You can test this theory by noticing what your French Bulldog does when a thunderstorm rolls in or the summer fireworks start popping. But it doesn't take a big event to create anxiety in your sensitive Frenchie, either. Just sensing that you may be going out without your dog may trigger anxious crying. Your French Bulldog is cold Frenchies are small dogs. Most weigh less than 20 pounds fully grown. They also have very short, fine coats. This makes for a neat and refined appearance. But it can also cause your dog to get cold in winter and when the air conditioning is blasting in summer. For some dog breeds, the French Bulldog included, the purchase of canine clothing is not just for the sake of cuteness. It can also be a good way to help your pup stay warm year-round. This can be especially important for Frenchies, which are known to be an indoor breed that can live perfectly happy inside even in small, confined spaces. Your French Bulldog isn't feeling good Just like many babies cry when they aren't feeling well, your Frenchie is quite likely to express feelings of dis-ease or un-well by crying. Your French Bulldog wants your attention Sometimes French Bulldog owners inadvertently reinforce the very behavior they are trying to stop by running to see what's wrong when their Frenchie starts crying. You can bet your dog will learn quickly that crying equals your attention! Your French Bulldog is bored French Bulldogs are not the most energetic of dog breeds. Much of the reason for this is due to their short brachycephalic muzzle type, which makes breathing somewhat difficult. But French Bulldogs also aren't great at entertaining themselves. Their idea of entertainment is being with you, doing whatever you are doing. If you aren't around or aren't available, your Frenchie may start crying to let you know they are bored. Your French Bulldog is confused Frenchies are sensitive dogs and are incredibly attuned to their owners. They can pick up on the subtlest of human expressions and emotions and can also sense conflict. Like all dogs, French Bulldogs thrive on regularity and routine. Changes to your dog's daily schedule can provoke confusion about what is supposed to happen when. If your Frenchie is confused, you can expect some "acting out" via crying instead of the more typical barking. Here, if you can learn to hear crying like you would hear the barking, it may be easier to identify the issue and fix it. A few hours or days of French Bulldog crying is likely to be far less adorable. Is there anything you can do to stop this from happening? As a matter of fact, there is. Take your Frenchie to get a veterinary checkup As Little House Animal Hospital explains, the very first step to take is to just double-check that your dog is healthy. Take your Frenchie for a veterinary checkup so your vet can verify all is well health-wise. Give your dog more activity and structure Once health conditions are ruled out, you can take a closer look at behavioral issues that may cause crying. Since the French Bulldog is known for being a breed that cries rather than barks, you can expect some amount of this behavior no matter what you do. But you can reduce crying by making sure your dog has adequate socialization, playtime, exercise, and plenty of you-time. You can also eliminate any of your own behaviors that may be reinforcing the crying behavior so your dog learns crying means no attention from you. Do you have a crying French Bulldog at home? This is the reason hindered tear conduits bring about what resemble tears. Canines have different methods of demonstrating feeling. Do French Bulldogs Scream? Some French Bulldogs can make a crying and yelling clamor that seems like a human shout, or even an infant shouting sometimes. When we purchased our French bulldog home unexpectedly, he made a couple of shouting sounds on the initial barely any evenings. However, not everyone will do this as each canine will have their manner of speaking and characteristics. French Bulldogs do cry around evening time when you initially bring them home. Initially, for what reason is your French bulldog doggy crying in his carton? Or then again, it could even be a grown-up French bulldog. There are various reasons why do French bulldogs cry so much, including: Being Desolate: This is an ideal crying situation when canines are accustomed to being with their proprietor and are closed in a container when you go out. Being frightened: Older or salvage canines can have negative undertones associated with the box. Kindly Note: French Bulldog young doggies will cry in their carton for at any rate the initial not many days you have them. The means beneath are best applied when the crying is dangerous and longer-term. For instance, you should put some fascinating toys in there, make it comfortable with covers, and leave a tempting treat in there. At this stage in their life, young doggies will begin to teeth and desire for anything chewable they can get their jaws around. Likewise, you ought to take a stab at working up sure relationship with the Container, and some doggy proprietors like to give their feed access there. Likewise, place something that scents like you in there — it could be a pad or a shirt with your aroma on. If you are still wondering — why do French bulldogs cry so much? Pups need space to have the option to move around, stand up, and go to leave them alone agreeable and not feel confined. Notwithstanding, with young doggies, they will require to go potty too. I remember taking Fluffy out after removing him from the Container around evening time and taking into our backyard porch zone. In any case, you can anticipate a few mishaps, which is why little dog cushions are so basic. I recommend using Luckyiren Upgraded Puppy Bells to give him proper potty training. The most likely reason your french bulldog cries at night is because they are feeling anxious. As mentioned, French bulldogs are prone to exhibiting this behavior when they are becoming acclimated to their new home. This plays into the separation anxiety, but could also be their way of telling you that you two need to spend more time together. You might need to give them some dedicated play time and cuddles before you go to bed. This can help tire them out so they can sleep the night away in peace, but can also offer them a sense of comfort if they have to be home alone for some time due to people being at work or school. Chances are, your Frenchie is going to cry pretty often as a puppy. This is partially because they are still learning how to communicate. They are also still learning to understand what life is like without their mom and other puppies they were raised with. One of the hardest aspects of training your Frenchie out of crying at night is trying to avoid giving into them each time they cry. A strategy that can help is to take your Frenchie outside when they are crying a lot at night. This will teach them that their nighttime crying will only get them potty time, so they will learn to only cry when they have to go outside. You can still crate train them without closing the door if you find they calm down with it still open. This can include a soft bed, a couple of toys they seem to love, and even a comfort object such as one of your shirts. Having something with your scent in their crate offers them a sense of security, especially at night. Having their crate close by where you sleep can also help them feel safer in their crate. As your French bulldog gets older and acclimates to you and your home, you can consider moving their crate to another area of the home, or setting them up in a bed in your room or just outside of your room. You can choose to let them sleep with you, but there are a few reasons why that might not suit you. However, there are ways to mitigate how often your French Bulldog cries during the night above and beyond crate training them. These are quite needy dogs, preferring the company of humans over just about anything. This time should include being fed, a walk, some playing with toys or cuddling together, and a final bathroom break before they climb into bed. They might still cry occasionally, but it should subside over time. French bulldogs can be really tough to sleep with in your bed. They can make a lot of noise, take up a lot of space, and they tend to shed and drool. Final Thoughts Constantly worrying and asking yourself why does my French bulldog cry at night can be overwhelming. Establishing a nighttime routine for you and your French bulldog will help tremendously in helping them feel more comfortable at night. To be honest, it was heart-wrenching and tiring, but it is an essential part of them adapting to your home as well as their crate training. The bottom line is; French Bulldog puppies do cry when they are taken from their mother and siblings, and they will cry in the crate for some time. You need to weather the storm, accept the lack of sleep, and persevere with it. In this guide I am take you through the steps to cope with the whining and crying, whilst you get your new Frenchie puppy settled into his new home and crate training routine. But first, just a little bit about Frenchies and crying. Why do French Bulldogs cry? They will cry for attention, when they want feeding, or if they need to go to the toilet. It is also related to separation anxiety read more on this when left alone. It can sometimes look a red or brown color, seeping from their eyes. Eye allergies: An allergic reaction can also lead to watery discharge from their eyes, which can look like tears and crying. French Bulldog puppies are even bigger criers, particularly in the first 4 weeks you have them at their new home. Frenchie puppies will also cry when you first start them getting used to sleeping and staying in their crate. Do French Bulldogs cry tears? French Bulldogs do have tear ducts, but they work in a very different way to human ones. Rather than the tears running from their eyes, the actually drain back into the nasal cavity… which is why blocked tear ducts result in what look like tears. Do French Bulldogs Scream? Some Frenchies can make a whining and howling noise that does sound like a human scream, or even a baby screaming in some cases. When we bought our Frenchie home for the first time, he made a few screaming sounds on the first few nights. Not all of them will do this though as each dog will have their own tone of voice and mannerisms… I did find a Frenchie screaming on YouTube which is a great example. Do French bulldogs cry at night? French Bulldogs do cry at night when you first bring them home. Now let me share with you steps you can take to stop your French bulldog whining in their crate, no matter what their age. Firstly, why is your French bulldog puppy crying in his crate? There are a number of reasons, including: Your Frenchie is lonely: This is a classic crying scenario when dogs are used to being with their owner and are shut in a crate when you go out. Your Frenchie is scared: Older or rescue dogs can have negative connotations connected to the crate. Your Frenchie needs the toilet: Or it could be as simple as them needing to pee or possibly even vomit here are reasons why Frenchies can be sick. Please Note: French Bulldog puppies will cry in their crate for at least the first few days you have them. The steps below are best applied when the crying is problematic and longer term. Make the crate experience a positive and comfortable one To stop your French Bulldog puppy crying at night, make the crate as great an experience as you can. For example, you might want to place some interesting toys in there here are toys Frenchies love , make it cosy with blankets, and leave an appealing treat in there. At this stage in their life, puppies will start to teeth and hanker for anything chewable they can get their jaws around. Kong toys are great for this, and you can see which ones work really well in on this teething toys page. You should also try building up positive associations with the crate, and some puppy owners like to let theirs feed in there. Also place something that smells like you in there — it could be a cushion or a t-shirt with your scent on. But, by having the crate close to you during the puppy months, it does mean you will be alerted when they need a potty break. Use the right-sized crate When crate shopping, I always suggest going larger than you need because it can then be their crate and bed for life. Puppies need room to be able to move around, stand up, and turn to let them be comfortable and not feel caged. Make sure your Frenchie goes to the toilet first To really help minimize your French bulldog crying in his crate, make sure their bladder is as empty as possible before sleep time. However, with puppies, they will need the toilet constantly, and I remember this time with our Frenchie very well. Every hour I would take him out of the crate at night and take into our back-yard patio area. You can still expect some accidents though, which is why puppy pads are so essential. Again, you can buy puppy pads on Amazon — they are cheap when bought in bulk. Tire your Frenchie puppy out before crate time An over-excited puppy will not sleep and will cry more in his crate at night if he still has excess energy to burn. Frenchie puppies can tire really quickly, so it could just be a short walk out back or a game of tug of war. Older dogs will have more energy to burn, so give them a run out for 20 minutes before crate time. If you go to the crate every time he cries or whines, you are just reinforcing the behavior, and making him know you will always come and let him out. The difference between crying for attention and crying for the toilet But how do you know which cry is which? Over a week or so, your puppy should learn that crying gives him the toilet and nothing else. As frustrating as your French bulldog crying at night will be, never scold them. If your Frenchie is crying due to anxiety and fear, yelling will not help. Yes, he might stop crying in the short-term, but only because he is scared. The minute you do will put you back to square on. Conclusion Finally, if you cannot put a finger on why your French Bulldog is crying, and have ruled out the possibilities in this guide, please do consult with your vet. Frenchies are susceptible to a wide range of health problems listed all here and it could be a physical or behavioral issue. When a puppy has just moved, is in pain, or may have been injured, it is not uncommon for them to cry. It can be challenging as an owner because you may need help figuring out what you can do for them or how to make them feel better. If you have a puppy with special needs, sometimes they need a little different care. You always need to think about why your puppy is trying at night. There are many reasons and plenty of solutions. However, always note that if they are suddenly acting this way for no foreseeable reason, it is always best to seek out the help of a vet. When you are unsure of the cause of any behavior change, always make sure to see a vet. While puppies do cry at night, those with mobility issues or a disability may be more prone to crying at night. This is simply because they are struggling and need you. There are plenty of other potential reasons as to why. It could be as simple as they need to go potty and need your help. Maybe they are hungry or lonely. A common reason for nighttime whining is often hunger, which is not uncommon, even in the healthiest, most well-fed pups. However, if it is not hunger, the reasons can include pain, anxiety, itchiness, and even loneliness. Puppies will usually always have a period of separation anxiety when they settle into new homes, especially on their first night in a new home. This anxiety is usually amplified for a sick, injured, or disabled puppy. We are likely to worry about how long whining like this will last, but look at how you can calm them. Do you have any familiar toys or blankets? Can they sleep in the same room as you, so they know you are there? Consider what you can do to make them feel more comfortable and ensure they feel secure knowing you are there. However, you should always make sure that you do not fuss with them too much, as they could quickly learn that by crying at night, they signal for you to come, which would result in a lifetime of being woken up by cries and whines. Remember, you need to sleep well as well! The reasoning is not complex. If your pup has a disability or recently got injured, they may rely on you a lot and be very codependent. They may cry at night because they are afraid of being alone without you, even though they are not all that alone. Puppies will also usually cry if they need to go to the toilet. Remember that as you toilet train your pup, take into consideration meal times, and try to ensure you schedule their meals, so they do not need to go to the bathroom so much during the night. It will be better for you both to do this. Proper toilet training is also ideal. It can help with crate training and will make vet visits much easier on you if you can get their toilet training perfected and incorporate it with crate training. Any dog expert or dog owner will tell you never to leave your dog to cry at night. Letting them cry will enhance their anxiety and can lead to behavioral problems or even depression. If your dog is unwell or suffers from a disability, letting them cry at night will likely make them anxious or depressed. If you ignore it and do not respond to it appropriately, you could miss when something is wrong later on in their lives. Even if your walls are thick, you, your neighbors, and everyone else will hear it. Of course, if your dog is sick or unwell, you can even make them worse by letting them cry through the night. In some cases, puppies have whimpered through most of the night and can eventually get so stressed and scared that they end up having diarrhea. They can end up walking in it, it gets in their fur, then their mouths, and before you know it, they could be even more unwell. Distress from being left to cry in the night can cause your pup to get anxious at any form of separation, which is the opposite of progress. How to Stop Puppies Crying in a Crate? When you bring a puppy home, you may use a crate, but when you take them to a vet, you may require a crate, so crate training is essential and can be vital to their health and help to make them more comfortable in all situations. When you first bring your puppy home, you can keep it in its crate in your bedroom or that of a family member overnight. This is because dogs are clean animals and never like going to the toilet where they sleep. In their early weeks, they will often need to go to the toilet regularly during the day and the night. Some sick or disabled pups may need to go even more frequently, or need more help going. Being in their crate and near you or a family member can help your puppy know that you are near, and they will be less anxious and less likely to cry at night unless they need to use the toilet. Since they are in your bedroom, you will also be able to respond fast, so if they cry, you can help them to the toilet fast. The Reasons for Puppies Crying at Night If you only recently got your puppy, no matter any additional factors, they may cry at night for other reasons, including gaining a secure attachment with you. This is especially true in the first weeks. You can put them close to you at night, so they know you are there, and you know they are there. Only use a single light source at night so that they can see, but no ominous shadows are there. Some pups will find natural sounds, low-fi, or even classical music soothing, much like we do, and it can help them feel safe and sleep better. However, you should also ensure there are no sharp objects or corners near where they sleep. If they jump up from their sleep, the last thing you want is them hurting themselves in doing so. What We Think Any new pup will be a challenge. However, pups with mobility issues, disabilities, or illnesses can be more of a challenge. Make sure you learn how to best look after them, and speak to a veterinarian to help find out more. Raising a disabled pup can be rewarding as you can watch them conquer their world and restrictions! They are playful, friendly, and you can carry them around all day. But why you may wonder, why does my French bulldog cry at night? Well, the endless whining from your Frenchie at night can be unsettling. We are going to help you understand why your Frenchie cries a lot at night. Read on to discover why your French bulldog cries at night, and what you can do about it. Young Frenchies Young puppies are prone to crying at night. Primarily, they suffer from separation anxiety — being detached from her mom, litter-mates, and breeder. Secondly, being a Frenchie, company means the world to them. And while night loneliness cuts across all age groups for French bulldogs, the early years are particularly lonely. This loneliness becomes even more apparent during the night, especially if you are training them to sleep in a crate or a separate bed. Old Frenchies For Frenchies, old age kicks in when they are about six years old. And when that happens, health conditions such as dementia may affect them. One of the first signs of dementia is disturbances in their sleep, which make them restless and leads to crying at night. When Communicating Needs Aside from the obvious need to eat, drink, and do potty that Frenchies are known to communicate by crying, other issues such as extreme silence may bother them. The night crying may also be to communicate pain, the need for attention, or any uncomfortable feeling they get from the night-time environment. They are adapting to a new environment, and the crying may persist up to the fourth week before they can adjust. You can supply them with chew toys in their crates to keep them busy and distracted. Soft music can also help them cope with loneliness. If you suspect they are crying to communicate a need for food, warmth, or water, then you must provide for their obvious needs before you retire to bed. Often, the crying at night is just their way of crying for attention, or saying they want to join you in bed. However, you want to be careful when making that decision for two reasons. One, the habit of sharing a bed with your frenchie, can be difficult to untrain once they get used to it. Two, French bulldogs snore, toss restlessly in their sleep, and fart a lot when asleep. If you are okay with such animal behavior, then let them enjoy your bed. What is your experience of sharing your bed with your frenchie at night? Please let us know in the comments section below.

With some careful research and preparation, you can find the perfect French Bulldog for sale in the Philippines and bring home a companion that will bring joy to your life. Overview When choosing a French Bulldog, there are a few things to consider. Consider the type of temperament that you want in a dog, as different breeds can have different personalities. You should also make sure to research the particular breeders you are buying from and make sure they have a good reputation. White and Fawn French Bulldogs are some of the most commonly found breeds. Depending on the particular breeder, you may be able to find other colors as well. No matter what color or breed you choose, make sure the French Bulldog is healthy and has been well cared for by the breeder. Once you have chosen your perfect Frenchie, make sure to get the necessary supplies and veterinary care, as well as enroll them in training classes. What to Consider When Buying a French Bulldog When buying a French Bulldog, it is important to be aware of certain considerations as you will want to find the perfect pup for you and your family. You should research different breeds to find the one that best fits your lifestyle. You should also consider the health of the pup and ensure that the pup comes with a health guarantee. You should check if the pup has been well socialized with people and other animals. You should make sure to find a responsible and reputable breeder to ensure that your pup is healthy, well-bred, and of good quality. It is also important to consider the cost of the pup, as some French Bulldogs can be quite expensive. You should factor in the cost of food, toys, and medical care for your new pup. You should also consider the time and energy that you have to dedicate to your pup, as French Bulldogs require a lot of attention and care. You should also determine if you have the space for a French Bulldog in your home. Taking all of these factors into consideration can help you ensure that you are choosing the best pup for you and your family. The most important factor to consider is research. It is essential to learn as much as possible about the breed before making a purchase. Research will help you to understand the specific needs and characteristics of the breed, as well as any health concerns that need to be kept in check. It is also important to find a reputable breeder who will be able to provide you with the necessary information you need to ensure that you are getting a healthy and well-adjusted dog. It is also important to ensure that the French Bulldog you are buying is from a reputable source. This means that the breeder has well-kept records concerning their breeding practices, and that the dogs have received the necessary vaccinations and vet check ups. You may be able to find a breeder who has an online presence, making it easier to conduct your research. Local breeders are also a good option if you prefer to meet the breeder in person. When you are ready to bring your French Bulldog home, it is important to make sure that you have all the necessary supplies and veterinary care prepared. This includes a bed, food, toys, and identification tags. Exploring the Reasons Behind This Common Pet Behavior You will also want to make sure to get your dog spayed or neutered, and to set up regular annual checkups with the vet. It is also important to provide your dog with regular training and socialization in order to keep them happy and healthy. With the proper care and attention, your French Bulldog will make a loyal companion for many years to come. These dogs have an eye-catching coat with a distinctive pattern of black and brown stripes, and they come in a variety of different colors and shades. Brindle Frenchies are intelligent, loyal and affectionate, making them a great choice for a family pet. They tend to be smaller than other French Bulldogs, so they can also be suitable for apartments and other small living spaces. When purchasing a Brindle French Bulldog, be sure to ask your breeder lots of questions. Find out where they sourced the pup, what age they are and what sort of health tests they have had. White French Bulldog White French bulldogs are one of the most popular breeds for sale in the Philippines. With their white coats and beautiful eyes, they make the perfect companion for any home. Before you buy one, however, there are some things to consider. Frenchies are known to be loyal and affectionate, but they can also be stubborn and difficult to train. You want to make sure the puppy is healthy and has been raised in a good environment. With the right research, preparation, and love, you can find the perfect white French bulldog for sale in the Philippines. They have a unique and eye-catching brindle coat, and often have flashes of white around their muzzle, chest, and paws. Fawn Frenchies have a warm, friendly personality and make great family pets. When you have your heart set on a Fawn French Bulldog, make sure to do your research before you buy. This includes food and water dishes, a crate, toys, a bed, and anything else your pup may need. Consider enrolling your pup in a training class. This is a great way to bond with your new pup, as well as helping them to learn good manners and obedience. Fawn French Bulldogs are a wonderful breed and make fantastic family pets. A good place to start is by asking your friends, family, and colleagues for referrals. Local breeders may also be an option, and can be a great way to get to know the breeder and the pet in person before making a purchase. Be sure to ask the breeder plenty of questions, such as how long they have been breeding French Bulldogs and the age of the puppies. Be sure to read customer reviews, ask for references, and make sure to ask them about the health history of their dogs. Make sure to ask how the puppy has been socialized and how much contact you will have with the breeder. Local Breeders When considering buying a French Bulldog from a local breeder, it is important to ensure that you are dealing with a responsible breeding program. You should ask questions about the parents of the puppies, their health and vaccinations, as well as the environment in which the puppies are being raised. You should check to make sure that the breeder follows the guidelines issued by the Philippine Canine Club. Make sure the facility is clean and that the puppies are being cared for properly. Take the time to get to know the puppies and their personalities. This will help you make the right decision when selecting your perfect pup. It is important to ask the breeder if they offer a health guarantee. This should provide you with peace of mind knowing that if your new pup develops any health issues, the breeder is willing to take responsibility. Online Breeders When shopping for a French Bulldog online, research the breeder before making a purchase. Make sure that the breeder is reputable, experienced, knowledgeable, and willing to provide references. Ask for their certification, if they are members of any clubs or organizations, and ask to see their health records. Doing your research and taking your time to find the right Frenchie for you will help ensure that your pup is healthy and happy for years to come! Make sure you have all the supplies you need for your pup. This includes a high-quality food, treats, a collar and leash, a bed, toys, and any other items that will help your pup settle into its new home. You should also make sure your pup is up to date on its vaccinations, has been dewormed, and has been spayed or neutered. You should consider enrolling your pup in obedience classes or training sessions to help them become well-socialized. When it comes to finding the perfect French Bulldog for sale in the Philippines, be sure to do your research and find a reputable breeder. Make sure you visit the breeder before bringing your pup home and ask any questions you have. Before you know it, your pup will become an integral part of your family. Supplies When bringing home a French Bulldog, the right supplies are essential. Make sure to get a comfortable, cozy bed for your pup to sleep in, in addition to food and water bowls. Having a leash, collar, and ID tag will ensure your pup is safe and secure whenever you take them out for walks. When considering where to buy supplies, opt for quality and durability. Look for supplies that are waterproof and easy to clean, as well as ones that are comfortable for your pup. When it comes to food and water bowls, stainless steel ones are a great choice. Having the right supplies for your French Bulldog is essential for their health and well-being. Invest in quality items that will last, and make sure to get everything you need before bringing your pup home. With the right supplies and a little love, your pup will settle into their new home in no time. Find a reputable veterinary that offers a full range of services, from routine checkups to emergency services. Your pup will also need flea and tick prevention as well as heartworm prevention, as these issues can become serious if left untreated. You should also discuss heartworm tests and other tests that your pup may need depending on the age and breed. When you visit the veterinarian, make sure to ask them about any other treatments or tests that may be recommended for your pup. Your vet can also give you advice about the best diet for your French Bulldog and the type of food that should be fed. They can recommend an exercise plan for your pup and provide information about the proper way to groom a Frenchie. Taking your pup for regular vet checkups is also an important part of keeping them healthy and happy. Training Training your French Bulldog is essential for a happy and healthy life together. Start with basic commands such as sit, stay, and come, and work your way up to more advanced commands like fetch and heel. You can do this yourself or enroll in a local obedience class. Always start with positive reinforcement, like a treat or a pat on the head, and be sure to give lots of praise when your pup learns something new. Be patient and consistent with your Frenchie. If your pup is having difficulty understanding certain commands, go back and break them down into smaller parts. There are lots of dog trainers out there who can provide guidance and advice on how to get your pup to understand commands. Conclusion When buying a French Bulldog, make sure you do your research, consider all your options and come prepared to welcome your new pet. Familiarize yourself with the different types of Frenchie for sale in the Philippines and find a breed that suits your lifestyle. Look for a local breeder or shop online to find the perfect pup. Have all the necessary supplies ready for your new pup, such as a bed, toys, food and water bowls, and set up an appointment with the veterinarian for any necessary vaccinations. Training a French Bulldog takes time and patience, but with the right resources and adequate training, you can have a happy and well-behaved pup in no time. Socialize your pup with other people and animals and reward him with treats when he follows commands or behaves well. With your dedication and guidance, you and your pup can build a strong bond that will last a lifetime. Post Views: .How Much is a French Bulldog in the Philippines? Get the Scoop Now! Introduction Are you considering buying a French Bulldog in the Philippines? These lovable and popular pups can come with a hefty price tag, but understanding factors that affect the cost and where to find a reputable breeder can help you get the pup of your dreams without breaking the bank. Read on for all the scoop! What is a French Bulldog? A French Bulldog is a small, stocky and playful breed of dogs that originated in France. They have short legs and big bat-like ears, and are usually brown, black or white in color. Frenchies are incredibly loyal and affectionate, and make great family pets. They are also very adaptable and can live in almost any environment, whether it be an apartment or a house. French Bulldogs are relatively low-maintenance and are generally healthy dogs, although they do require regular grooming and exercise. French Bulldogs are also fairly easy to train and tend to be very social, so they make great additions to any family. They may require a bit more attention than other breeds, but given the right amount of love and care, a Frenchie can be a wonderful pet for years to come. French Bulldogs have become increasingly popular in recent years, and as demand for these furry friends has grown, so too has their price tag. French Bulldogs can cost anywhere from a couple of thousand to several thousand dollars, depending on their age, quality, and other factors. One of the main reasons why these dogs cost so much is that they are extremely in-demand, meaning that breeders are able to set higher prices for them. Breeding French Bulldogs can be quite expensive and labor-intensive, and as a result, breeders need to factor this cost into their price for the pup. Aside from the cost of the actual pup, there are other things to consider when buying a French Bulldog. Potential owners should budget for vet bills, grooming, food, and other supplies such as toys and treats. All in all, buying a French Bulldog can be an expensive endeavor. With the right research and dedication, potential owners can find the pup of their dreams while staying within their budget. Factors like pedigree, age, and any special needs the pup might have can affect the cost. The most important factor is the breed or lineage of the dog. French Bulldogs with a higher pedigree or lineage will cost more. Other factors that can affect the cost include age, size, health, temperament, and color. A puppy will cost more than an adult dog, and different colors can also affect the price. Size can also affect the price. The bigger the dog, the more it will cost. Average Prices for French Bulldogs in the Philippines When shopping for a French Bulldog in the Philippines, you want to make sure that the cost is something you can realistically afford. Prices can vary depending on the breed, age, and other factors. Puppies tend to be more expensive, while older French Bulldogs can be found for cheaper. Do your research to find a reputable breeder and make sure to ask lots of questions. The best way to find a French Bulldog in the Philippines is to look for a reputable breeder. You can also look for classified ads or visit pet shops or kennels. Well socialised parents of pups make a huge difference to the confidence and mind health of your future furbaby. I have raised the parents of your puppies, from a puppy themselves. In some rare cases, I have chosen a stud for my girl which I would intend to keep a puppy from. Raising the parents of your puppy in a positive environment plays a huge part in the trust and confidence your puppy has; setting them up with a lifelong skill of trust in human companionship. At Bellawai Dogs we understand that it is a huge commitment to breed happy, healthy dogs. Your puppy is born inside our home in a comfortable room right next to our bedroom and lounge. For the first two weeks hubby and I take turns sleeping in with the Mummy dog and the puppies. Taking four-hourly sleepless shifts so we are awake and on-hand for help and support to our girl and your puppy 24 hours a day. Just like a nurse and midwife I call it a midwoof! Because of Simon and my interaction, along with our young adults, teen and four year old children; your puppy is confident with men, women and children when they come to you. We get to know each fluffy furbaby personally from the moment they are born as I assist with delivery. Whelping support to the puppies and our girl for up to 10 hours as each precious bundle is born. I am able to put the time and effort into starting each puppy on the right foot by your fluffy friend being handled from the moment it is born. Assisting he or she with their first breaths and supporting them to breastfeed from their Mummy straight away. This greatly reduces the stress hormones of your puppy and forms an immediate trust bond with humans, which gives a wonderful start to life with people. We only breed one litter at a time with due dates far apart so none of our girls have the pressure of their time shared with us in this important head start for your furbaby. All Bellawai, Goldendoodle puppies are started with open crate training at 3 weeks old so they feel safe with a den. This makes following on with closed crate training easier for you as a crate space is familiar. Clicker and voice training begins at 6 weeks old. Your puppy learns to sit and recall-follow. Each of our clients receives three training videos of myself and puppies from previous litters. These videos will be made available to you prior to receiving your puppy so you have time to watch and learn techniques they have already learned. To help with your bonding you will find loads of progress photos on our Instagram and Facebook pages. We encourage you to stay in touch with us for the life of your dog we have bred so we are able to offer further help and ongoing support. Goldendoodles have a long history of smarts and loyalty. Goldendoodles also called Retradoodles, Groodles have amazing qualities of wanting to be with you and give you love and companionship. They adore humans and are regularly used as assistance dogs because of their giant hearts and loyalty that is inherent in both very clever breeds. Check out Poucheze at www. As my website states, I am not like other breeders in many ways. First, I want to explain how the average Labrador breeder raises their pups the first few weeks of their life. They expect these tiny pups without their senses fully developed to find their way to a nipple without being smothered. I understand that this is what dogs do in the wild, but this is also why many puppies die in the wild. .Then, on top of that they hope that each of the pups will get enough milk on it's own to make it through the 1st week of life. They expect the Lab mom to do all the work, so they don't have to lose a wink of sleep. This is all very sad to say but it's true. I, on the other hand, care about each individual pup's life, I care that each and every one of them survive so that they can live a full and happy life. So, I make sure that each individual pup is given outstanding care. How do I do this? I began with hand raising each one of my pups the first 3 weeks of its life. What do I mean by hand raise my pup? It means I personally make sure each individual pup is fed every 2 hours- 24 hours a day, the first 2 weeks of its life. At feeding time, I make sure each puppy gets on a nipple so they don't have to struggle to find one. I make sure that each puppy gets an adequate amount of milk. Then, once I see that they have been well fed. I pick up one pup at a time and have the mom lick it to go potty. And then I put them in their little crib to ensure they are safe and not smooth by the mother until the next feeding 2 hours later. At three weeks, we feed the pups every 4 hours. But at this point, even though the pups eyes and ears are open. I still supervise the feeding to ensure that each pup is adequately fed and again not smothered by it's mother. I believe in giving these pups outstanding care. Even if that means that I lose a lot of sleep, and even if it ends up just saving one pups life. That one pup could be the next Labrador that I get a testimony about how it brought so much joy into one person's life! So, in the end, all the work and lack of sleep is worth it. I am up now about to give my pups their 3 am feeding. Hope this helps you all understand what is put into each litter. She is from our breeding between Cash and Bella, both parents are health certified. Sugar is overnight crate trained and has some other training. She has the sweetest disposition; we absolutely love her! However, we have had a family emergency that has come up that may cause us to have to put Sugar up for sale. If you would be interested in Sugar, please email us and let us know about yourself, and the lifestyle that you would be able to give Sugar. We will be reviewing potential families who would be interested in Sugar and pick the best family for her, and make a decision later this month. They are given constant positive attention their whole time with us. We have a big game room that we call the "Labby Room" This room is designated for our labs and their lab puppies. The puppies get a lot of interaction with all our kids in this room. They also become well adjusted to all the sounds of the home life, like the sound of a vacuum. When the pups are born, I will contact you and inform you on how many pups were born. We will post up pictures of each litter soon after they are born. And try to post weekly picture updates so you can watch the puppies grow. We will also post video on our face book page. When the pups are 6 to 7 weeks of age, I will contact you to set up an appointment for you choose and pick up your pup at 8 weeks of age. If you had first deposit in for a male pup you will have first choice of all the males available. If you have second deposit in, you will have the next appointment to choose from the males that are left and so forth. This order of reserving pups would also apply to the females as well. We honor all reservations on a puppy by not selling the puppy to anyone else. So if you are interested in a litter and don't want to make a reservation until "you see the litter". An appointment can be made to view the left-over puppies when they are 10 weeks old, and no sooner. No appointments will be allowed at a younger age, except for the families that made a prior reservation. We will not allow our baby puppies to be exposed to potential life threatening viruses from people that are just "shopping". We wait until all puppies that have been reserved are safely home, before we show any left-over puppies. Any left-over pups will be at least 10 weeks of age before any viewings are allowed, to insure they have at least had 2 sets of shots in. The only other accommodation that we can offer is a zoom call, so you can see the pups before you make a reservation. Most of our sweet puppies are sold before they are even born. english bulldog puppies for sale in ct - Merle What is a Fawn French Bulldog? A fawn French Bulldog is known as one of the most official and registered breeds of the American Kennel Club AKC and by most of the other kennel clubs and breeders. With many other shades of fawn, however, blue fawn and chocolate fawn were the two colors that were not acceptable as per most breeding standards. The AKC can register these two colors, but they are known to be a faulty description. The fawn color itself resembles colors such as tan brown or beige. Height: A fawn French Bulldog is generally about 11 to 12 inches tall. Size: Males weigh 20 to 28 pounds, whereas a female weighs around 16 to 24 pounds. Feeding: One and one and a half cups of high-quality, dry food, every-day daily twice. Origin and History of French Bulldog The breed of a French Bulldog in its present form derives directly from the dogs of Molossians, an ancient Greek clan. The dogs were first brought in, throughout the ancient world, by Phoenician traders. British Molossian dogs bred with English Mastiffs, later a sub-breed of English Mastiff was then formed, called the Bullenbeisser. They produced and survived for bull-baiting, a sports event that was set for dogs to harass bull, it was used as entertainment and theatre back in medieval Europe. Around , sports that inflicted pain and caused anything to bleed, such as bull-baiting was banned in England, leaving the bulldogs out of an actual purpose until people started using them as mating objects for business propositions and all non-sporting reasons. However, around , bulldogs had already been considered as pet dogs rather than sporting dogs. For their size to reduce any further, bulldogs later mated with terriers and ratter dogs from the slums of England, and around , Toy bulldogs had become such a trend in England that they started appearing in television shows and morning broadcasts. When the Industrial Revolution began to settle in Normandy, France, the lace workers coming in from Nottingham, evacuated and entered into England and along with them brought in a variety of dogs, including Toy bulldogs. The dogs became so popular and in a fashion that France ended up establishing a small trade in imported, miniature bulldogs with breeders in England, sending over bulldogs that they considered either too small or with genetic malfunctionings, such as tiny ears that stood up the whole time. Eventually, the small bulldog was considered as a new breed and had received its name, Bouledogue Francais. The English version of this simply stands for a connection between a ball and a dog. They were carried and sought after by high-end ladies of the society and Parisian prostitutes, as well as artists, writers, and fashion designers. Edgar Degas and Toulouse-Lautrec, in their records, have been thought to have paintings of French Bulldogs. The specifications for French Bulldogs declare that: The breed should be muscular with loose and soft curls forming into wrinkles. The maximum standard weight, according to the AKC for a French Bulldog, is considered to be 28 pounds. The head should be prominent in size and square-shaped. The ears should be the kind that resembles the ears of a bat, long and pointy. AKC approved eyes for French Bulldogs are supposed to be dark or almost black. The coat on a French Bulldog should be short, excellent cut, silky and smooth. Acceptable colors, according to the AKC for a French breed, are different shades of brindle, cream, fawn, and white with patches of brindle, also known as pied. Any other color patterns other than these are not AKC approved because some colors accompany a-long with them genetic health problems that you will not commonly find in the actual breed itself. But due to its conflicted reputation, many organizations argue that the health, skin, and hair conditions of a French Bulldog are all the cause of melanin color pigment plodding in the hair shaft. This problem can occur with or without any sort of clinical signs. As a dog age, arthritis becomes one of the most prone diseases for their old age affecting one or both rear legs, causing fatigue, laziness, and pain. Allergies: Three types of allergies are the most prevalent in dogs. Diet allergies, which are treated by refraining and cutting down on certain foods from the dog diet. Contact allergies; usually occurs due to a reaction caused by any sort of flea powders, dog shampoos, and other chemicals and inhalant allergies that are caused by mid-air allergens, such as mildew, dust, and pollen. The whole situation pretty much depends on the brutality of how severe the allergy is. Hermivertebrae: The malformation for one on more vertebrae can cause pressure on the spinal cord leading towards pain, paralysis, and weakness. Vets believe in such a situation; there is no available treatment. Patellar Luxation: A common health problem in small dogs, caused when the thigh bone, knee cap, and the calf are not properly fixated and keep getting out of its place, this can create an abnormal style of walking. It is an inborn disease present at birth. To fix, Patellar Luxation requires surgical repair. It can lead to weakness and temporary to permanent paralysis. Because of their body structures and very slim hips, the male dog is unable to come up to the potential of the female dog to reproduce naturally. Temperament and Personality Like every other dog breed, fawn French Bulldogs need to feel loved, cherished, and adored. For them, having close contact with human beings is as important as for any other canine. If left alone for more than a few hours, there are chances a Frenchie may end up feeling depressed, resulting in separation anxiety, especially when they are young and moving forward towards maturity and life. They can vibe with any-one pretty quickly, which makes them easier to train in comparison to all the other breeds. Although they can be very stubborn at times, they are one of the most certain exceptions to rank th position representing the level of canine intelligence. Back in , a fawn French Bulldog, named Princess Jacqueline was known to understand 20 words with absolute perfection in terms of reacting towards them. Specific Needs and Care There are specific health- care situations where pet owners should keep in mind when buying a French Bulldog: They need a minimal amount of exercise, yet do require short walks daily. Due to their flat face structure, too vigorous amount of exercise can result in dizziness, nausea, and heavy breathing, especially in hot weather where one should refrain from it the most. While taking care of a French Bulldog, one must take into account that regardless of their subtle yet calm, people-oriented nature, they are also under the habit of thinking for themselves. Which means they can be stubborn and pretty fixated at precisely what it wants and how it wants it. However, many different techniques work successfully with this breed, it is better to keep them distracted by all the right things life. Obesity: try not to overfeed a French Bulldog, and refrain from feeding them foods with high cholesterol and fat intake. The owners should keep track of all the things a French Bulldog would eat, keeping their calorie diet in check. Daily walks and exercise is the best way to keep a French Bulldog healthy. It should be necessary for one to know that because French Bulldogs are not capable of swimming because of their bodily structure, it is vital to keep them away from any sort of water body, preventing them from drowning. AKC believes that bulldogs must have health evaluation tests such as a cardiac exam, ophthalmologist evaluation, and hip dysplasia so one can diagnose, any French breed before buying it. If not regularly cleaned and taken care of, a Frenchie may easily end-up developing an infection. Keep them clean and chill: Since Frenchies have tiny nostrils, it gets challenging to inhale enough air to cool off. In case your Frenchies start to pant, drool, and stay at one end of the house due to extreme laziness and fatigue, you need to immediately splash his fur with cold water and check if he feels dehydrated. And always make sure to keep a clean bowl of water in-case he has to clean or drink fresh water during the day. Therefore it is highly essential and indispensable to clean their ears with the use of a special ear ointment. Tail pocket cleaning: Small dogs, with short tails, end up collecting dirt and feces that can cause all the little damage and a severe tail pocket infection. Regular grooming: Fawn French Bulldogs, luckily, only need regular grooming, and the best way to do that is with the help of a grooming glove, which makes it possible for the owners to reach all the hard body parts. Choose the right harness for your fawn French Bulldog: Dog harnesses cover almost the whole body of the dog and support them. Pretty much as soon as they go in, they sink like rocks. They tend to follow their owners around and are always looking for ways to get their attention. Food and dietary requirements: For a Fawn French Bulldog, it is their instincts to love the outdoors and play with everyone that comes by. French Bulldogs rely on food that is easily digestible, filled with lean animal proteins, carbohydrates and contains all kinds of varieties of fruits and vegetables. French Bulldogs require protein that comes from muscle meat, but nothing processed. The meals must contain protein that has a nutritional value because that is the only way your pet will ever have the energy or the nutritional value that it desires and benefits him in terms of a better life and better health. Feeding your dog sweets, and unnecessary carbs will burn them as soon it tries to give away this energy towards fun and games, causing the sugar levels to drop way before their actual time. Due to this, you must provide your dog with foods like potatoes, fruits and vegetables, and brown rice that maintains his strength and energy. An un-balanced nutritional diet, after some time, starts to show on the coat of your pet dog. Other than carbs and protein, one should consider feeding their pets a well-balanced diet that includes healthy fats, minerals, and vitamins, keeping in mind that your dog should be healthy and beautiful, especially happy. Fawn French Bulldogs have a variety of health-related problems that sometimes can be quite challenging. One of them being allergies, both airborne and food-related, that when it comes to an adverse reaction from food, the first most common symptoms to take note are rashes, skin irritation, itchiness, diarrhea, and vomiting. The perfect way to keep your dog safe from such sufferance is to avoid anything that is either processed or injected with steroids that also create a fat mass in foods so people can buy them more. The best source is to provide your pet with whole food meals. Hypothyroidism is another issue that occurs in Frenchies where the thyroid stops producing enough hormones, not any different from the case of people. The condition results in low levels of energy. Any canine with a case of hypothyroidism would be less active and more disposed to gaining weight. Obesity is a common problem in small breed dogs because of their petite bodily structure and compact built. Which is why French Bulldogs have limited workout options. Temperament: Fawn French Bulldogs, with their friendly and subtle demeanor, make amazing companion dogs that are suitable for all sorts of families. They are incredibly well-behaved in nature, around visitors and other animals. All they ever look for is an open lap to cuddle and sleep. Low maintenance grooming: Frenchie requires a short, silky coat that only extends to a minimal amount of grooming to keep their skin healthy and shining. A little brush helps remove any loose hair and divides natural oils equally all over and around the coat, maintaining its beautiful shine. They shed less because of their elegant cut coat. Basic walking, or just roaming around the house would be sufficient enough for a Frenchie to keep active and healthy. Cons Health complications: The biggest, most major issue in owning a bulldog are their complicated health issues such as breathing problems. Not being able to cool themselves down, aggressive, disruptive behavior in hot weather and humid temperatures, eye conditions, and also skin and food allergies. Drooling: A lot of different breeds of dogs tend to drool, and Frenchies are no exception. The drooling is a way for French Bulldogs to cool themselves down when their bodies heat up Expensive: To own and cater to a dog like Frenchie; has its demands and is highly costly. You should also keep in mind the cost of vaccinations, grooming, food, and appliances. Stubborn tendencies: Where some fawn French Bulldogs are kind and loving, some are extraordinarily stubborn and rigid, especially when it comes to trying to train them for basic commands, leash training, and potty training. To prepare your dog, it takes a lot of patience, and the will power to keep going. Final Thoughts After keeping both the pros and cons in mind, the risks and factors associated with owning a fawn French Bulldog signify that whoever is willing to hold this specific breed has to keep in mind the number of health risks that come along with it. I believe owning a fawn French Bulldog sounds more expensive than one could have thought. They need to be loved and cherished the same way anyone would want to expect for themselves. My passion for animals started at a very young age as I grow up on a farm with several horses, cows, cats, chickens, and dogs on our property. Leave a Comment.
