That said, while it can be done, I strongly urge anyone who lives in an apartment to think carefully about how much time and work it can be to keep a large, working dog in an apartment. I will not sell a puppy to anyone who lives in an apartment and leaves the dog home alone all day. At least one person needs to be home during the day. The dog needs to be taken outside to play at least once a day and taken for potty breaks many times EVERY day. Also, please check with your apartments rules on German Shepherds; some complexes do not allow them. New strains of the Parvo Virus are abundant and it is my job to keep puppies safe. No outside dogs are allowed at anytime. Thank you for understanding how important it is for me to keep the puppies safe. Boxer puppies trace their origin to 19th-century Germany, where they were developed as versatile working dogs. Around the mids, German breeders aimed to create a loyal and courageous dog capable of performing various tasks. They crossed Bullenbeissers with Bulldogs and selected for traits like strength, intelligence, and agility. The result was the Boxer we know today. Boxers quickly gained popularity as police and military dogs due to their loyalty, trainability, and protective instincts. They were officially recognized by the American Kennel Club AKC in , solidifying their status as a distinct breed. Over time, Boxers transitioned from working roles to beloved companions and show dogs. Their friendly demeanor, boundless energy, and affectionate nature make them cherished family pets worldwide. The origin of Boxer puppies is a testament to the careful breeding and selection that have crafted a breed known for its remarkable combination of strength, intelligence, and affection. Temperament of Boxers Boxers are known for their playful and energetic temperament. They are intelligent dogs that are eager to please and love to learn new things. Available: Now Hey everyone! Chance was an owner surrender to the animal shelter and was in rough shape. Along with a really nasty skin condition, he was emaciated, had an upper respiratory infection, UTI, GI worms, and heart worms. It was clearly evident he had been neglected and abused. He got treated and well fed with a heaping side of love and care so he could be ready to meet his new family. Even though he had a rough patch, he still loves and want to be loved. He is a true velcro Boxer and want to be with you and cuddle. If he can't cuddle, he will be at your side, waiting for your attention and to look into your soul with those big, chocolate eyes. He wants to do whatever you do and be where you are. He is such a joy to be with. He had a good life before his previous owner, so he was already neutered and knew manners and commands. He is very smart and love treats, so I he picks new things up fast. He is house broken and know to stop something if mom says "uh-uh no" or "leave it" in her firm voice. He doesn'tt chew anything and doesn't counter surf. He only barks at delivery people. Chance can share his people, toys, and his bed, but please let him have his food to himself - he didn't always have food and worries. Chance knows the up and down commands, though he won't get on furniture unless you tell me it is okay each time. He also know sit, stay, come, and shake. Chance walk easy on a leash and loves his walks. He corrects easy with voice commands and gentle pressure on the leash. Sometimes, something fun to chase goes by and he wants to get it. He uses a harness and that helps him learn not to do that. He is already much better at it, except with cats and rabbits - those are too exciting. Some of his favorites include car rides, walks, being outdoors, toys, and cuddling. Part of his past was being crated all day, every day without bathroom breaks, enough food, or play time. So please let him play often, with lots of exercise. Also, Chance can not ever be crated at home, the vet or boarding except in emergencies and with medication. Crating triggers panic attacks for him specifically because of his past. The good thing is, he is such a good boy free roam, you don't need to crate him! Chance very much likes dogs and wants to play, but his foster Boxer brother is really old and can't play. He plays with his people and neighbor dogs. Chance does a good job, but can miss some doggie signals and will need help learning all of them for playtime. He acts like a big puppy, so he could knock down or step on little children with his zoomies. He does love all the rubs, pets, hugs, cuddles, ear smooshing, kisses, and scratches you can dish out. He also is happy to be lifted for a bath, car ride, or vet exam, though. We know some of the abuse in Chance's past was done by a man. He is scared of some men - not all men, but certain actions done by men trigger memories. He is not scared of the women and kids he has met. It took Chance a few days to trust him, but I love my foster dad now. He now trusts that his foster family will only let safe people in the house and will steer wide of men on walks doing any of those scary things like swinging a tool or carrying a load overhead. Chance now enjoys walks and visitors to his house. Interested in me? If so, fill out an application and mention Chance. If you are already approved, just email the adoption coordinator and ask to be added to my list. Please consider a donation to help with Chance's medical care. Some snore. The coat needs only occasional brushing to remove dead hair. History The Boxer derives from two central European breeds of dog that no longer exist: the larger Danziger Bullenbeiser and smaller Brabenter Bullenbeiser. Bullenbeiser means bull-biter, and these dogs were used to chase large game through the forest. This required a strong but agile dog with a broad powerful jaw and a recessed nose. In England, the Bulldog was the favored breed for the sport, whereas in Germany large mastiff-type dogs were used. Around the s, German hunters began a concerted effort to create a new breed, crossing their Bullenbeisers with mastiff-type dogs for size, terriers for tenacity, and, finally, Bulldogs. The result was a tough agile dog with a streamlined body and strong grip. By , an entirely new breed, the Boxer, had been established. Although the exact origin of the name Boxer is obscure, it may have been derived from the German Boxl. The Boxer was one of the first breeds to be employed as a police and military dog in Germany. By , the breed had become established as a general utility dog, family pet, and even show dog. The AKC recognized the breed soon after, but only in the s did the breed begin its steady rise to the top of the popularity charts, eventually peaking as the fourth most popular breed in America. The Boxer is one of the most popular dog breeds in the United States. It has been recognized by the AKC since .Although the Boxer dog breed originated in Germany, their ancient ancestry can be traced back to the Assyrian empire war dogs of BC. The modern Boxer breed we know and love today was originally developed in Germany in the late s. English-bred Bulldogs and the Bullenbesiier were crossed to create an energetic and agile hunting dog to chase wild game. The Boxer is a popular family companion and a versatile working dog. As a member of the Working Group, Boxers can be found competing in dog sports like agility, obedience, and herding. They also make great service and assistance dogs, as well as therapy dogs, and can be found working as search and rescue dogs, drug detection dogs, police dogs, and military dogs. The Boxer is a muscular and energetic dog that tends to have a happy, friendly disposition. They bond closely with their families and tend to get along well with children and other dogs. They can even do well with other pets despite their high prey drive if they are socialized and trained with them. As long as they are well-socialized, Boxers are generally upbeat, playful, and friendly. Although they have a natural instinct to protect their family from unwanted visitors, they do tend to warm up once introduced and are happy to make a new friend. They can be prone to barking a lot if you do not work on socialization and training your dog to stop barking early on. Boxers can be highly adaptable dogs. Although they have a lot of energy and are better suited to homes with yards where they can run, they can adapt to apartment living as long as they get the daily exercise, attention, and mental stimulation they need. As with any non-arctic dog breed, they are sensitive to very cold temperatures. Boxers are also a brachycephalic breed, which means they are even more sensitive to heat than other dogs. A Boxer is also one of the most affectionate dog breeds. Because they bond so closely with their families and get bored easily, they should not be left alone for long periods of time. Potential health conditions to be aware of in a Boxer include hip dysplasia, degenerative myelopathy, thyroid issues , and heart conditions like aortic stenosis and cardiomyopathy. Good breeding practices make a big difference and reputable breeders will screen their dogs to avoid passing preventable issues to puppies. So, make sure you are asking the breeder about the health and genetic history of the parents and about any health tests that have been done. Boxers are intelligent dogs that are eager to please their owners. Despite their energetic personality, they are one of the best dog breeds for first-time owners and are highly trainable dogs. They tend to excel at almost any task put before them! Because of their open, friendly nature and high energy, they have a tendency to jump up at people in excitement and playfulness. Since they grow into powerful dogs, you will want to make sure you train your dog not to jump up. Boxers have smooth and short coats that will shed a little year-round and require minimal grooming. A brush-down once or twice a week and the occasional bath as needed will keep their short coat healthy and looking great. Nail trims once or twice a month are usually enough to keep nails from growing too long. Checking ears weekly and carefully cleaning as needed can help prevent ear infections. Checking and wiping their facial wrinkles weekly or a few times a week if your dog is prone to getting into things can help keep their wrinkles clean and free of irritation. Dental diseases, like gum disease, are the most common health issues in older dogs because dental care is often overlooked; and, it can lead to other serious health issues. Brushing daily, plus cleanings at the vet when needed, is ideal. The Boxer is a high-energy dog breed that needs plenty of daily exercise to stay happy and healthy. Due to their high prey drive and urge to chase, they should only be let off-leash in secure areas. Boxers tend to get bored with repetition, are excellent problem solvers, and are naturally exuberant. A fully-grown Boxer usually stands inches tall at the shoulder and weighs pounds. Boxers generally live years on average. In Germany, the Boxer was one of the first dog breeds chosen for police training. Featured Boxer Article.

Top 22 Bulldog Mix Dog Breeds: 1. They are as affectionate as Bulldogs and as fun-loving as Beagles, making them the perfect family pet. They typically weigh between 30 and 50 pounds, and they adore all life forms, including other pets. This dog is a mix between an English Bulldog and a Jack Russell Terrier, so it usually only weighs 30 pounds at most. These are big dogs, weighing as much as pounds. They tend to look like Rotties but with more of a smushed-in nose. You get a dog that tops out at about 60 pounds but is also long and lean. Bullwhip dogs love to run and have a stubborn streak, so be prepared to spend a great deal of time training them. Be careful bringing them into a home with smaller pets, though, because Whippets have a high prey drive. Mixing their genes extends their lifespan considerably, though, and these dogs often live for 12 years or more. They are massive, though, and regularly tip the scales at pounds. They can weigh up to 50 pounds and are not big fans of exercise, so be careful not to let their waistline expand too much. These dogs are usually fairly healthy, but they are prone to back problems, which makes it all the more important that you keep their weight in check. That said, these dogs are surprisingly energetic, so you may need a big backyard in order to own one. They can weigh as much as 90 pounds, so when they get the zoomies, your entire house can be vulnerable. The Bull-Aussie tends to take after their Shepherd heritage more, so expect to spend a great deal of time tuckering these dogs out. Fortunately, they love having jobs to do. They love their families and will do anything to protect them. These dogs are fairly active, but many have a brachycephalic face, which can limit their ability to breathe and dissipate heat. English Bullhuahua English Bulldog x Chihuahua A post shared by Peyton Roque peytzz To get a Bullhuahua, you have to cross English Bulldogs with Chihuahuas , and the result is a surprisingly big 40—pound lap dog. Their personalities are often friendly and welcoming, but they can have a strong territorial streak like Chihuahuas. The adorable English Bullpit, of course. Walking around at close to 90 pounds, these dogs are strong and brave and make terrific guard dogs. Oh, and be prepared for the shedding. Both parent breeds are heavy droolers, so we hope that you have a good mop. Just know that Akitas can be prone to aggression, and both breeds are known for being stubborn. Catahoula Bulldog English Bulldog x Catahoula Image Credit: haydnd, Adobe Stock Catahoula Bulldogs vary wildly in terms of size; some only weigh 40 pounds or so, while others tip the scales at over pounds. Regardless, you should have a stocky, muscular dog on your hands. These are laidback dogs, and while they enjoy a nice game of tag, they see no need for excessive amounts of exercise. English Bulldogs are typically neither of those things. They often weigh around 50 pounds and are not nearly as smart as their Poodle forebears. They make up for it by being incredibly sweet, however. They often look like a regular Bulldog that somehow got into a box of Rogaine. However, they make up for their lack of security skills with a fair amount of intelligence. They are extremely brachycephalic and are often prone to a whole host of health issues like respiratory problems, heat intolerance, and joint concerns. That generally means cutting back on their rations, because this is one breed that does not like to work out. These medium-sized 40—pound dogs are loving and sociable, but they need a ton of physical stimulation. A Mix for Everyone If you love English Bulldogs but are put off by their propensity for health problems not to mention how expensive purebred puppies can be , consider adopting one of the mixes on this list instead. Every dog listed above is cute as a button and generally healthier than a purebred English Bulldog. Plus, they still retain most of the qualities that make Bulldogs so sought after. Even better, most of these mixes are rare enough that you can have a dog that truly stands out. Since a mix can take on any combination of traits from their parents, you want to make sure you ask the breeder about the other parent breed in the mix. Should an English Bulldog Mix take after their Bulldog parent, they will be sweet-natured, affectionate, and playful dogs that love being with their families. English Bulldogs are companion breeds that are known for being sweethearts. As long as they are socialized properly, they tend to be excellent with children, other dogs, and other pets. Although watchful, they are even agreeable to strangers once they have been introduced. If the other parent breed has a similar temperament, then you should be able to expect the same from an English Bulldog Mix. You still want to talk to the breeder about the other parent as they are likely to introduce their own quirks. Meeting the mother in person can give you an idea of her temperament and the behavior she is modeling for her puppies. Although the breeder should have started some training and socialization, it is your responsibility to continue training and socializing a puppy once you get them home to ensure they grow into a well-rounded, well-behaved dog. Although English Bulldogs adapt to most living situations, they are sensitive to hot and cold, and are particularly sensitive to heat. They also do not like to be left alone for long periods of time. This makes them a moderately adaptable dog breed. The other parent breed could introduce some traits that affect adaptability so you do want to ask the breeder about them. A mix could inherit conditions common to neither of their parent breeds, one of them, or even both of them. From the English Bulldog, potential health concerns to be aware of in an English Bulldog Mix include hip dysplasia, elbow dysplasia, Entropion, and Cherry Eye. Reputable breeders will screen their dogs to prevent passing issues to puppies, so make sure you are asking about the health history of both of the parents. Although English Bulldogs can be stubborn, they are generally eager to please and are highly trainable dogs. They tend to be a good fit for owners of all experience levels and respond well to consistent training that is focused on positive reward and praise. If the other parent breed is also highly trainable, then you should be able to expect the same from an English Bulldog Mix. The other parent breed could also introduce the potential for an English Bulldog Mix that is more difficult to train. Mixed-breed dogs can inherit a coat that is a carbon copy of one of their parents or they can end up with a coat that is truly a mix of both. Should an English Bulldog Mix end up with a Bulldog coat, they will shed moderately year-round, require brushing a couple of times a week, and the occasional bath. If they have face wrinkles, you will need to make sure they are clean and dry regularly to prevent skin irritation. Cutting nails once or twice a month keeps them from growing too long. Ear checks on a weekly basis with careful ear cleanings as needed helps prevent ear infections. Daily brushing or use of an enzyme toothpaste is ideal dental care for dogs and can help prevent painful dental diseases later in life. English Bulldogs tend to be lower-energy breeds that only require daily walks and some playtime to be happy. But, they will be energetic when they play and might be up for more activity if you are. The other parent breed can affect this. If they are a low-energy breed, then you can expect an English Bulldog Mix to be the same. If the other parent breed requires more daily activity, then you will need to be prepared for that potential range in an English Bulldog Mix puppy. Because they may still be a brachycephalic dog breed, they can overheat, so you want to be careful of overexertion. There are many safe ways to exercise flat-faced dogs to help your English Bulldog Mix get the exercise they need. Fully-grown English Bulldogs usually stand inches tall and weigh pounds. The other parent breed can have a big effect on this, especially if they are the mother. An English Bulldog generally lives for years. Although the other parent breed could affect this slightly, you should be able to expect a similar life span in an English Bulldog Mix. Featured English Bulldog Mix Article.

The modern German Shepherd is descended from a family of various German herding dogs. Breed standards were not developed until the late 19th century when Captain Max von Stephanitz, a German cavalry officer, worked with Arthur Meyer and other breeders to develop the ideal German herding dog. Stephanitz and Meyer wrote the breed standard in and the American Kennel Club recognized the German Shepherd as a member of the Herding Group in .Although they were originally bred as herding dogs, they were also bred for versatility, which made the German Shepherd an all-around working dog that could excel in a variety of applications. German Shepherds are one of the common dog breeds employed in K-9 units in both police and military applications. They also make great service dogs and, of course, are still awesome herding dogs and farm dogs! The German Shepherd is a strong-willed and highly intelligent dog. They have a playful, energetic spirit and tend to get along with children, other dogs, and other pets, which makes them a great family companion. A born protector, the German Shepherd will provide a great sense of security for their family while their loving and lively personality will make them fit right in as a companion. German Shepherds are naturally protective and can be wary of strangers at first. A well-socialized German Shepherd will bark to alert you and tends to warm up to strangers once introduced. German Shepherds are dogs that were bred to herd and work. This, plus their high energy, makes them a better fit for homes with fenced yards where they can run. They can adapt well to larger apartments as long as plenty of time is dedicated to ensuring they get enough exercise, mental stimulation, and attention every day. A bored, ignored, or under-exercised German Shepherd can often become a destructive one. They also can be sensitive to their surroundings and large gatherings can be off-putting. With a longer coat, they tend to prefer cooler climates and are sensitive to heat. The German Shepherd is a generally healthy breed, but there are some potential health concerns and good breeding practices make a big difference. They get bored easily and especially with repetition, so continued training with your German Shepherd throughout their life will be necessary. German Shepherds have a medium-to-long double coat. They will shed year-round and heavier as seasons change. Brushing a few times a week is usually sufficient; brushing daily is even better and your GSD will likely love you for it. Bathing is occasional on an as-needed basis. Ear checks weekly with careful cleanings as needed can help prevent ear infections. German Shepherds are high-energy working dogs. Not only do they require a lot of daily activity, but they also are a herding breed that was made to run, guard, and observe, so they need a job to do to be happy and healthy. Daily walks plus playtime, time to run, and other activities are usually enough for a GSD, but they will likely be up for more activity if you are. With their versatility and athleticism, you can try a lot of different activities when puppies finish growing and they are cleared for higher-impact things. chinese pug puppies for sale in texas - Click here to see us on our page! We raise mainly Australian Multigenerational Labradoodles, but also have added Multigen English Goldendoodles as well as Multigen Cockapoos in limited breedings. Our Breeding stock comes from only the finest lines, that have been thoroughly tested for health and screened for temperament. That said, I am a "normal" mom with "normal" kids, - whatever that means - now, with the added love of DOGS! As I began this search for the perfect puppy for my "near perfect" children, I needed our prospective pup to be allergy friendly and non-shedding to accommodate my children and my lack of wanting to vacuum , as well as intelligent and mild mannered. After extensive research, I ended up with our first two Australian Labradoodles, and the rest is history. Because of their temperament and intelligence, well bred and nurtured Doodles are increasingly being trained formally as Therapeutic Companions. Because I left my "professional world" to stay home with my children, and only after seeing the benefits this breed has had for us, I decided to take it a step further and involve our children and other families in this latest endeavor. I soon decided to add Cockapoos as well, as they possess many of the same traits that we so desire. Trained formally or not, these dogs are just plain wonderful! Much time is devoted to each dog and puppy, always raised in homes as pets, therefore developing the finest of the Breeds! If nothing else, you may get a smile if not a laugh at our pix! It is a recognised breed in it's own right by International Genetic Testing laboratories and is sometimes called Australian Labradoodle which can be misleading. Other ASDs have a wool coat which is much thicker, denser and more springy which should also be non shedding. The wool coat has less movement and resembles a Poodle coat. However, there are many different and complex allergies and sometimes people find that they are allergic to not only dog hair, but also dog saliva and urine which is a problem if you want to have a puppy. The ASD is not a hypo-allergenic dog as it's saliva or urine could still trigger an allergic reaction. The Kennel Club do not recognise this breed as Pedigree and there are therefore no KC Registration Papers available which means great care must be taken to keep the breed in good repute. The breed was created to SERVE and provide therapy, companionship and assistance to those with special needs. This procedure, as far as the ASD is concerned, has been found to be safe, ethical and highly effective against indiscriminate and unlawful breeding practises. Gender is irrelevant when choosing a pet, both males and females make wonderful pets, the gender does not effect their trainability or behavior either way. Please see My Resource Page downloads for info on that and other things So it is wise to be flexible about those things, and not get fixated on one "look" or puppy in general, and focus moreon temperament, if you do not want to wait forever for a puppy. Mother Nature ultimately controls those things. The more restrictive you are with specific looks or gender the longer you may wait to often no avail. People choose Puppies in the order they have reserved a space on a particular litter, when puppies are 8 weeks of age, on the go home date. So I cannot tell you which specific puppies are available on a litter - People choose them at 8 weeks. If you wait to reserve a space, you may not have a space! I hope that makes sense - standard practice. Thank you! So it is important to choose by the description of what I write the puppies should look like, not the parents looks alone. For example a white parent may not be able to produce white puppies based on the mate with which it is paired. However two solid colored parents may produce white or parti puppies! So it is best to read the description of what I say should be produced. Ultimately specific markings are up to Mother Nature, as is Gender, and I cannot control those things please understand! Most of these puppies in all of these groups should highly resemble one another in fact! We also reserve the right to chage studs at any time, for a number of reasons for the best outcome. We do our best to estimate the month we expect to breed a girl, but heat cycles can vary, which means the availability date is simply our best estimate. You will need to be flexible on timing of receiving a puppy, if you choose to reserve from a litter that has not yet been bred. We also have a general waitlist that we we can place you upon if these litters fill up before you get your deposit placed appropriately. Then we can apply it to next upcoming pair that matches what your application states you prefer! If you state first available, I will accomadte that as well! The more flexible you are, the faster you might receive your baby! The more restreictive you are with specific looks or gender that Mother Nature ultimatley controls, the longer you may wait to often no avail. But I do my very best to accomodate you all to the very best of my ability I promise!! As stated, things can change due to the fact that ultimately Mother Nature has the final say. So please try to be patient. We do our very best!! Typically all spaces are reserved in advance. However if any spaces or puppies do remain after initial placements I will post those puppies as available! Because of our philosophy, all of our mommy and daddy doggies live in other families' homes as their pets, so we do not have them available here in our home for you to see in person and can not take appointments for such. Likewise, puppies may be raised for a time in their mommy's Guardian home for her comfort as well. Ensuring that each dog is a pet first and foremost will ensure that your puppies are raised in the most healthy and stable of environments. Therefore you are awarded a puppy that has been adorned with attention and care for optimal development! Happy parents and families makes for happy, healthy, well adjusted puppies! chinese pug puppies for sale in texas - Exercises Grooming From ancient Germany precisely around the 19th century had the now extinct mastiff breed Bullenbeisser and bulldogs brought in from England. At the time of their arrival, they served as hunting dogs for bears, deer, and other ferocious beasts, it would capture the prey with the help of its awesome teeth and detain it until the hunter arrives. And in the first boxer standard club was launched with a comprehensive document that is still in use today. Shortly after, the breed made its way into other European countries and got into the U. S in the late 19th century with the American Kennel Club taking registration of its first boxer around .During the first world war, boxers played the role of a military dog as a pack-carrier, a guard dog, and an attack dog, later they were taken home by the soldiers and got introduced into the domestic world as a show dog, best companion, and a reliable guard. One with so much life, energetic, curious, attentive, active, smart, sociable and incredible fun with children is the boxer, they are also known to be very patient and highly protective of their family members making them the love and desire of many homes. As active dogs, they need a lot of exercise to keep them mentally fit, apparently having a mind of its own, you will find your boxer entertain itself by digging the ground often, chewing, and licking the mouth to beat boredom. They are also very stubborn in character which makes them a terrible choice for first-timers with dogs, they are generally a bit difficult with adult dogs including dogs of a similar breed but friendly with puppies. They usually do not bark unless there is a genuine reason behind it but they love to growl. If you have occupied home with people around all the time or you want a canine buddy the whole time, then a boxer is just the perfect breed to get. Being a highly active dog, they dread loneliness and they can cope finely in both a house and an apartment as long as you provide it with enough room and spaces for exercises and activities. What you must have is a large yard if you are living in a house for it to dig the ground and run around as it likes. And more so, if you are given to being away from home most of the time, getting a boxer may not be the best for you and the dog, because they usually get aggressive when left alone. Boxers are known as loud snorers and they drool greatly too. Boxers are playful and very energetic dogs as such regular exercises are part of a good canine relationship, especially a breed of this sort. Your boxer should be allowed to play in a fenced area and on-leashed since it is likely to jump and leap around in excitement. This puts a boxer as a bad choice for a frail owner as they may find it a tad impossible and daunting keeping up with its excessive activity demands. Being a breed with a short and thin coat its grooming demands are quite easy and little, all it needs is a light brushing of the hair twice every week to maintain its good and gleeful looks. Bathing should be a once in a while since boxers are generally clean dogs and its nails, be trimmed once every month or as often as they grow worn on surfaces, its teeth should also be brushed daily to avoid tartar formation and other dental crises.
