Symptoms This problem may not be obvious, but there are some signs to look out for are fluid retention usually noticed as unexplained weight gain , cold extremities, and an intolerance to exercise. Many dogs, however, will exhibit no signs until heart failure occurs. Diagnosis A physical examination should find any leak from a faulty valve significant enough to cause health problems. Usually, a heart murmur will be heard with a stethoscope, although with extremely mild cases, this may not be so. It can affect dogs of all breeds, sizes, and genders. There are two types: diabetes mellitus and diabetes insipidus. The most common form is Diabetes mellitus that affects one in dogs. Labradoodles have a moderate risk of contracting this. However, if left untreated, the disease can lead to cataracts, increasing weakness in legs, other ailments, and even death. In dogs, diabetes is typically seen anywhere between the age of four to fourteen months, with a peak at seven to nine years. Both males and females can develop it. Symptoms The most common symptoms of diabetes in dogs include: Extreme thirst. Using gestures and body language are clearer ways to communicate effectively with your labradoodle in a language easily understood by both of you. Dogs, like humans, are all different. Step in, remove yourself and your labradoodle or do something that changes what is happening or about to happen. Labradoodle eyes are known for their ability to express many different things. Ear positions and posture also communicate different feelings: A labradoodle is calm when his ears are in a neutral, relaxed position. If the ears are turned forward, up and alert this means the dog is either being very attentive or in a state of aggression. Ears that are flattened and pinned back indicate a defensive and fearful emotional state. Licking the lips with the tongue flicking in and out is another sign of being anxious. Lips curled up with teeth showing, otherwise referred to as a snarl, is at times a result of the dog being in a playful state or a sign of aggression. A snarl is a warning sign. Growling sounds are similar to a snarl in that they are often emitted during play time but a growl also serves as a very useful warning sound to people and dogs that things are making your labradoodle annoyed. Barking communicates a variety of things, it could be a reaction to a charged situation, a warning given to a stranger be that human or another dog, excitement over a game, playful or a fearful bark. A common mistake made by people is to tell their dog not to bark or growl at all. Eliminating those two types of verbal communication from a dog gives a dog no option but to go straight to aggressive behaviour. I am about 2 years old and I love follow my foster mum around. She tells me I am her shadow. My foster potty trained me in a day and she said I am very very smart and I have to agree with that. I also learned new commands like sit, down, and off. We are working on the stay but I have a hard time sitting still because I have lots to keep an eye on inside. She walks me always on her right side and I became very well behaved in our leash walking training. I do like to be right by my foster brother Logan, so sometimes I will pull to be with him. I have an another foster brother and he is smaller and furry and he meows for food all the time when he is not sleeping. I love him and he give me sand kisses. We went to a coffee shop other day and all these people want to pet me and take pics of me. I felt like a movie star! On the walks I get overly excited when I see other dogs and I am very vocal about it. Sometimes the dogs get scared of me, but I assure you, I am awesome and not aggressive at all.
