Share John and Katie Black have been fostering rescue dogs for a long time. They have been in constant contact with the Neuse River Golden Retriever Center and also adopted two dogs. They named the dogs Leroy and Winchester. Both the dogs are living their best lives with their loving owner in Raleigh, North Carolina. The couple had fostered many dogs and had generously loved all their pets. However, when Rosie, a Golden Retriever, arrived at her foster home, she was pregnant. Now that was something special for the couple as the mama dog would require a lot of nourishment and care. However, the biggest challenge was the birth process and caring for the young ones for at least 8 weeks to be strong and healthy. It was a huge responsibility, and John and Katie did an excellent job. The young puppies were born healthy, and the mama dog was also in perfect health. Rosie gave birth to 4 cow-colored puppies who looked completely different from their mother. After a lot of research and DNA analysis, they found that the markings on the puppies were of an American Foxhound. Hence, John and Katie now knew who the daddy was. However, Rosie did not find it strange that her young ones did not look like her and raised them well with the help of her family. The only trouble was that she did not produce enough milk to feed the pups. So, Katie and John had to help Rosie bottle-feed the young puppies. I believe I have presented the facts fairly objectively as far as the other feeding options go. There is no standard or way to measure what natural is and what the added value of it is other then the origin of it. Natural color could come from some secretion of an insect. Special Needs Puppies These little ones need the most nutritious and high-quality food you can find. If you want to find an economic way to feed your dog, please do it later in his life. Allergies Pugs are relatively sensitive to allergies. In some cases, this is due to an external source such as home detergents, but more often than not it has to do with their diet. There are a few brands that you can try with low, or no grain. If you are feeding your pug home cooked food or a raw diet, taking the carbs and grain out would be easy. If your Pug misses a few meals in a row you may want to consult a vet. Treats and snacks I try and think of treats and snacks the same way I think of candy for my daughters. If the amount of treats your Pug is rivals the actual food, in quantity, you should reconsider or at least re calculate it. If you are using kibble both at meals and as treats for training, and your stubborn Pug ends up consuming a lot of treats, just take it off the next meal. The same goes for snacks. They should be a part of the total daily feeding and not extra. How long can a pug go without eating? An adult Pug can probably survive many days without food, but no Pug would stand for it. Now, you could just imagine how big a Giant German Shepherd can grow? This Giant German Shepherd could reach an astounding height of 29 inches for males and 27 inches for females. Their weight ranges between to pounds for fully grown male King Shepherds and 90 to pounds for fully grown female King Shepherds. If you put a German Shepherd beside a King Shepherd, you will notice the big difference in their height. In the case of Shiloh Shepherd, it was originally bred to produce a German Shepherd that is gentler and bigger. If you want to produce a larger German Shepherd while maintaining the pure lineage, then you must do pure breeding. However, if you are interested in acquiring not only a larger size but also an exclusive trait from other breeds, then you can apply crossbreeding. Pure Breeding In this breeding process, two purebred German Shepherds with sizes that are larger on the larger end of the standard size will be bred to produce larger offspring. Once the puppies are fully grown, the ones with exceptional size will be selected again to be bred with other German Shepherd dogs that are also exceptional in terms of size. The process will continue from generation to generation until the trait is cultivated deep within the genes. However, breeding dogs with related lineage should be discouraged as it promotes health issues stemming from genetic problems. Cross Breeding Cross breeding process is done by breeding German Shepherds with other large breed dogs. This is the process done in breeding Shiloh Shepherds and King Shepherds. The lifespan of Giant German Shepherds ranges from 10 to 13 years which is quite the same as the normal German Shepherd. Crossbred dogs are expected to be healthier than purebred ones. Although socialization is important for a dog at any age, proper socialization for a German Shepherd will ensure they can interact with the family properly. Socialization is also important around young people. These dogs are very playful and active and love to be outside getting physical exercise. They also need a lot of mental stimulation as they are very intelligent and do not like to be left alone. If they are left alone for long periods of time they can become bored and begin to exhibit destructive behaviors, so it is important they spend most of their time with people or they are trained correctly to understand what behaviors are desirable.
