So keep a little pot of yummy left overs in the fridge for this purpose. You may find your dog is less inclined to pick up your cushions etc, if you give him some soft cuddly toys of his own. Some behaviours are so common as to be normal, and bin raiding is a universal problem for Labrador owners.
