Above: Mini F1b, Curly. Above: Mini F1, Wavy. Coats can vary in color. A good way to predict adult color is to look at the ears of the puppy. In addition, consider the pedigree when expecting a litter. It is hard to understand the complexity of the gene pool when mating. From my experience, red is considered a dilute gene of black. When red is bred with white, black or brown, black is dominate and pups are black. Two red parents, will make red or apricot. However, to carry the true red gene is very rare. Red can often fade with maturity. Many breeders boast about having red as it is highly sought after, but it can and may fade with time. I make a good effort at trying to produce red, but it is more rare. Brown and black also produce black. Two browns will make brown. Red can be so dark red that it is considered mahogany or rust. My Sangria, F1 mini-goldendoodle female is an example of this beautiful color. I do not claim to be an expert in the study, nor do I make any guarantees on future adult color. In breeds like the cocker spaniel, the red will be apricot as a pup, but can become dark red with maturity. Spots can also widen with maturity or appear to have moved around as they broadened out. In designer breeds, the puppy can look completely different as an adult then how it did as a puppy. You may notice this at the very first haircut. As much as we love color, we need to pay more attention to the temperament of the puppy and make sure the puppy is very socialized and loved, especially during the critical stage of development up to 5 months. See my temperament testing page for more information on this. Loose and wavy: This is the most common type of coat found in a goldendoodle such as an F1. They are considered low to non-shed. They are easy to maintain. You may want to brush in the common friction areas such as behind the ears, hind quarters, and underarms. Bodily brushing about once a week. Straight: These coats are considered flat or sporty like the golden retriever. They are the easiest to maintain and need minimal brushing. They will have some shed. Curly: These coats can be easily identified with the crimping on the forehead as a pup. They are most common in F1bs. Their coats can have "loose curl" or "tight curl. Examples: Above: "Loose and wavy" as a puppy at 5 weeks old. This is an example of an F1. Left: "Curly" as a puppy. Puppy at 5 weeks old. F1b, crimping on forhead visible. Right: "Straight" at 5 months. This coat type typically can be found in F1 litters. No crimping on forehead or ears. Left: tight curl as an adult. Right: "Curly" at 10 weeks old. More squiggles on forehead than "loose and wavy" type. Notice the difference. This is an example of an F1b. This coat type is best for those that have allergies and desire lots of curl. An excellent example of a loose and wavy coat. This dog is an F1 miniature goldendoodle from Ginger and Tamale. Some of Ginger's puppies do throw the sport coat. It can be difficult to predict how the coats will turn out as adults, but we do our best to look for wavy features in the early stages. In the end, unless you have allergies, please understand they are so much more than just how they look. You get what you get and don't throw a fit! I do my best to help you pick out what you desire, but please note, I do not guarantee coat quality. Puppies are not an item I can stock on the shelf. Mother nature is in control. Many F1s will develop their wave after they go through their coat change at 5 months of age. It can take even up to 8 months to see the true coat quality. Standard Goldendoodles can weigh anywhere between 50 and 90 pounds. Personality The place where the Goldendoodle puppy really excels is its personality. Its breed is known for being simultaneously intelligent and adoring. A Goldendoodle puppy is very sociable, which makes them perfect animals for households with children and other animals or pets, even cats. Just like the Labradoodle, this breed requires correct socialization to ensure they get used to different sights, sounds and smells during puppyhood. This means taking your Goldendoodle to plenty of doggy-friendly parks so they can meet canine friends and introducing them to other people. Whether you own a black-tri, red-merle, or blue-merle Aussie, there is not any difference apart from the cosmetics or visual appeal. Generally, Australian Shepherds are rather healthy dogs. For instance, they are hyperactive dogs that need to work. All Australian Shepherds generally have copper-type markings that signal they are truly an Aussie. Maintenance and Care Australian Shepherds are comparatively simple to care for but require a great deal of maintenance. The ideal thing you can do to make sure a happy and healthier dog is diet and exercise. Adopt or Purchase? Should you decide that you would prefer to purchase a puppy? Additionally, German Shepherd puppies have to be actively socialized. With other dogs, people, and places as a way to grow up with confidence, they should be balanced dogs. If you are a dog owner who is looking for a blue Merle German shepherd. Make sure that you buy from a reputable and trusted breed. There are many breeds of this type of dog out there and you need to do your research. And be sure that you are getting a good breed that will last for a lifetime. The blue Merle is a popular color and has a great name. It has a very long coat that makes it very sleek and easy to groom. They are very gentle dogs that love attention but will not get angry because they are of a certain color. This makes them great pets for families that do not have a lot of time to spend with their children or pets. A good breed of blue Merle is a cross between a long-haired German shepherd and a short-haired one. There is a genetic reason why the color blue merles come into existence and it is believed to be a recessive trait. This means that if a dog is of one color and has another color on the same side, then the resulting offspring will be blue. The blue Merle is often a cross between a poodle and a miniature Schnauzer. The poodles are known for their manliness and love to have children around. On the other hand, schnauzers are extremely affectionate and loving. There are many different characteristics that you should look for when you are looking at purchasing a blue Merle German Shepherd. First, make sure that you look for long and flowing hair. You want to look at the eyes as well because this is where you will be able to tell if the dog is nervous or not. You also want to make sure that you are buying from a good breeder or rescue group. Make sure that you do not take your chances with a pet that may get hurt or worse. Also, make sure that you have your pet spayed or neutered so that it will be less aggressive. So now that you know what a good breed is and have some ideas of what traits that you would like your dog to have, it is time to look for one. A good place to start is with a local breeder that you can trust and that you feel comfortable with. After finding a good breeder or rescue group, make sure that you have your pet evaluated by an expert in the field before bringing your pet to the new home with the blue Merle. A lot of research has been done about this type of dog and this should help you make an informed decision. Ask as many questions as possible to ensure that you are getting a good fit for your family. If you feel that your dog will be too demanding, then you should keep looking until you find one that you can afford. When you bring the blue Merle into your home, make sure that you set up an environment where your family can get to know each other. This will also give you a chance to bond with your pet. Remember, this is a special pet and you have to make sure that everyone is happy. One final tip on how to find a good blue Merle is to use the internet. If you do not live near a breeder or a shelter, then search for a rescue group online and read their website to learn all you can about their puppies. These shelters can sometimes have great puppies that are left to fend for themselves but they are often in poor health, so you should not buy from these puppy mills. Once you find a good breeder, make sure that you do your homework before buying. If you have not been keeping German Shepherds, then I encourage you to do so. The reasons for this are many. This breed is adorable, full of love, and very lovable. This article will give you all the information you need to adopt a Blue Merle German Shepherd. The first thing you need to know when learning how to adopt a German Shepherd is that adopting a puppy can cost anywhere from two thousand up to ten thousand dollars. This all depends on where you live. Some areas have more licenses required for puppies than others, and the cost could go up even more. It is best to find out all you can before choosing to adopt one from a shelter or other place. The cost is so high because these dogs need a lot of care and love before they are fully grown, and they are very protective as a breed. When you adopt a German Shepherd, you are adopting a very energetic dog. They need lots of walking and daily exercise. A blue Merle has a high prey drive, which means they will pursue anything that moves. If you have children in the house, they may get bitten or even choke on their new puppy. These puppies can get very aggressive if provoked. Be prepared for this. When playing with children, it is best to keep your pup on a leash. If you decide to adopt a blue Merle German Shepherd, you should also be prepared to get an inoculation shot. This is very important because the virus that causes this is the same virus that causes hip dysplasia in humans. Because it is a rare disease, the chances of your pup contracting this disease are slim. German Shepherds are very protective dogs and should be around all members of the family. This includes children. You should also not allow your pup to go outside unless there is another adult in the family, such as a parent or grandparent. A responsible breeder will not allow an unplanned pregnancy, and will also not allow the pup to be alone without the supervision of an adult in the household. When your puppy is old enough, he or she will be trained to stay out of the room where the other animals sleep. A German Shepherd can end up inside the room of another animal. You will have to make sure that your pup understands that when you are away, he or she has to stay in his room. Having a blue German Shepherd in the family also means that he or she will get acquainted with the people in the family. It is common for puppies to become shy around people. But they usually become friendly once they get to know more people. If you are thinking about having puppies, make sure that you carefully research breeding requirements. Blue German Shepherds can make wonderful, loyal companions, but you have to make sure that you are ready for the responsibility. You have to keep in mind that the puppy should be socialized before you introduce him or her to other people. You must consult a professional trainer to help you with training. This is the time when he or she needs to get used to humans and other animals. During this crucial period, it is vital to establish early on that you are the alpha owner. Remember that a puppy will not obey just because you tell it to do so. You have to take charge and be the one who establishes rules and discipline. An important part of training your puppy is getting him or her used to being indoors. Give your dog sufficient amounts of outdoor exercise, so that he or she gets used to the routine of going outside. It is also important to establish a routine for feeding. Schedule feeding times in the same manner as you would schedule bedtime. You can teach your blue German Shepherd that the four-legged friend who loves you always gets an equal amount of attention and love. Share this:. The blue coloration in Blue German Shepherds refers to a faded gray color. This gene is also responsible for other breeds like the Blue Frenchie and Pittie. The dilution gene is inherited in an autosomal recessive pattern, meaning both parents must carry the gene for it to show in their offspring. It is important to note that while the blue coloration is unique and eye-catching, health must take priority during breeding. Males typically stand between 22 and 26 inches tall at the shoulder, while females are usually between 22 and 24 inches tall. In terms of weight, they typically weigh between 50 and 90 pounds. Coat and Color The coat of a Blue German Shepherd is typically thick and dense, with a medium length. The fur is usually straight and lies close to the body, which helps to protect the dog from the elements. The color of a Blue German Shepherd is, as the name suggests, blue faded gray. This is actually a dilution of the traditional black coloration of a German Shepherd. There are several Blue GSD varieties, including: Blue and tan GSDs — They have a blue-gray coat with tan markings; Blue merle — These blue dogs have dark gray spots on a lighter background; Blue brindle, combining blue and brindle patterns; Blue fawn — They have a light gray shade on the face and a lighter, fawn-like hue on the body; Long-haired Blue GSDs; and Blue pied — They have a white base with patches of blue-gray. While the blue-gray coat color sets them apart, Blue German Shepherds have the same physical characteristics as traditional German Shepherds, including their distinctive pointed ears, muscular build, and intelligent expression. They have a strong, well-muscled, and balanced build. Their body is neither too heavy nor too light, designed for agility and endurance. German Shepherds have a deep chest that provides space for their strong lungs. Their body is moderately long and well-proportioned. They have a wedge-shaped head and a long, proportional muzzle. Their ears are erect, and the eyes can vary in color, but they are usually light blue or gray. German Shepherds are known for their efficient and smooth gait, allowing them to cover ground gracefully. Temperament and Behavior Blue German Shepherds are known for their intelligence, loyalty, and protective nature. They are confident dogs who are eager to please their owners. They are also highly trainable and excel in obedience and agility competitions. Their intelligent but obedient nature is what makes GSDs the superior police dog. Blue German Shepherds are typically calm and composed when it comes to behavior. They are not known to be aggressive unless they feel threatened or their family is in danger. They are excellent guard dogs and will protect their family and home at all costs. Blue German Shepherds are also very social animals. They enjoy being around people and other dogs. They are great with children and make excellent family pets. They are also very adaptable and can adjust to different living situations, whether a large house or a small apartment. Suitability for Families and Other Pets Blue German Shepherds are great with children and other pets when socialized properly from a young age. However, adults must always supervise interactions between dogs and small kids to prevent accidents. Socializing guardian breeds like German Shepherds means teaching them to be neutral toward other dogs and strangers by plenty of exposure and obedience training. When it comes to other pets, Blue German Shepherds can coexist if introduced and socialized early on. Overall, Blue German Shepherds can make great family pets and are well-suited for households with children and other pets as long as they receive proper socialization. They are said to be as bright as a 3-year-old, and that is based on our definition of human intelligence. They are also calmer than intelligent dogs like Malinois and Border Collies, making them ideal pets and working dogs. Obedience, socialization, and crate training are essential for a Blue German Shepherd. Use positive reinforcement like treats, praise, and toys to encourage good behavior. Consistency is key, so make sure everyone in the family uses the same commands and rewards. This means that GSDs are often badly bred, or bred to extremes such as overly sloping backs and angulated hind legs, leading to many health issues. A study of German Shepherds in the UK showed that the leading causes of death were musculoskeletal disorder .This condition is caused by a recessive gene that affects the hair follicles, leading to hair loss and skin irritation. CDA is more common in blue-coated dogs than in other colors. The symptoms of CDA usually appear between 6 months to 3 years of age and can include patchy hair loss, dry and flaky skin, and a dull coat. It is a genetic condition that affects the hip joints, causing pain, inflammation, and mobility issues. Hip dysplasia can range from mild to severe, leading to arthritis and other joint problems. Eye Conditions Blue German Shepherds are also prone to certain eye conditions, including cataracts, Pink eye, progressive retinal atrophy PRA , and glaucoma. These conditions can cause vision loss and discomfort for the dog. Stomach Issues Blue German Shepherds have very sensitive tummies and are known to suffer from bouts of diarrhea. Their deep chests also increase their susceptibility to GDV or bloat, which is the twisting of the stomach. Issues that contribute to these GI problems include Pancreatic acinar atrophy pancreatic cell death , Megaesophagus enlarged esophagus , inflammatory bowel disease IBD , and Exocrine Pancreatic Insufficiency causing indigestion and yellow poop. Other Health Issues Spinal issues like canine degenerative myelopathy causes progressive disease of the spinal cord. Thyroid issues like hypothyroidism. Neurological issues like epilepsy. They should exercise at least 60 minutes per day, including walks, runs, and playtime in a fenced yard. It is important to note that Blue German Shepherds are prone to joint problems, so it is important to avoid activities that put excessive strain on their joints, such as jumping or running on hard surfaces. Swimming is a great, low-impact exercise that can help keep them active and healthy. Grooming Needs Blue German Shepherds have a double coat that requires regular grooming. Brush their coats twice a week. They shed heavily twice a year, so brushing them daily during these periods is essential to prevent matting and tangling. It is also essential to clean their ears biweekly with canine wipes to prevent infections and dental problems. Brush their teeth at least twice a week and give them dental chews and rinses in between. Clip their nails every month with a canine clipper. Wash them monthly with a gentle dog shampoo. Bruno and Tia walk along with us on Halloween. He was such a good boy. Nothing fazed him. Not the kids who were all dressed up, not the people everywhere. Not even the guy dragging a cooler of rattling drinks across the street or his hot dog costume. We walked the dogs on the sidewalk as the kids ran up to each house. As we approached each house I would give Bruno the "Wait" command and he would stop and wait until I started walking again. Bruno walking with Sara who was dressed as a flying pig, inspired by the saying "When pigs fly! I told Sara to take the mask off and let him smell it then put it back on. She did just that and Bruno realized the mask was simply part of Sara. He was no longer afraid of it. Bruno is so content walking beside humans. If he starts walking a little too fast I only need to very lightly touch this back end with my foot or very lightly give the lead a tug. VERY lightly, because he is so responsive. It's as if we are giving him a small reminder and he is saying, "OK, I'll slow down. None at all. He's very happy to just follow. Bruno sitting with one of the monsters whose job was to scare the little kids as they walked by. Not even the monster fazed him. Bruno goes to a Rodeo Bruno goes to a rodeo. The entire day Bruno simply followed whoever had a hold of his lead with no desire to pull ahead, no desire to go anywhere else. He simply followed without any verbal commands. All day long people were commenting on how well behaved he was. Not even the horses speeding past in the events fazed him. He would duck his head under the fence so he could watch, but he never flinched, never had any desire to go in the ring; he simply waited with his human leaders. Bruno chilling with the horses. Watch out, Bruno! The tongue, the tongue! Paybacks from Jack the horse! A few minutes before this picture was snapped Bruno had looked up at Jack the horse and given him a big lick on the mouth. Jack didn't seem to enjoy his doggie kiss all that much. It was a windy, rainy day, but the dogs didn't mind one bit. Tia's owners state she is very calm and well behaved inside the house, the polar opposite from the first day she was rescued from the pound. At the Dog Park Bruno finally met his match. It would always seem Bruno and his Boxer style of play, pawing and jumping around like a crazy pup with all that weight behind him, that he would dominate the play sessions. Then here comes Tia the Norwegian Elkhound. Tia enjoyed picking up a tennis ball and running with it. Bruno was not able to catch her. She also picked up tree branches and ran with them. Same deal, Bruno could not keep up. She would get down in a play position daring him to come at her. Then she would bark and run! Tired of chasing, Bruno decided to plop on the ground. Bruno's Breakfast Bruno was a very bad dog this morning. I walked outside and spotted him eating something. As I got closer I could see it was one of the chickens! I have no proof he was the one who actually killed it. For all I know he found it. But he sure was eating it! If Bruno was the one who killed it he still does not know killing a chicken is bad because I did not catch him actually killing it. What he senses is I am not happy with him near it or eating it. I later made Bruno come over and sit down next to it for a picture. Bruno did not want to go near it. I had to take him by his collar and lead him over. He didn't even want to look at it. This was the only shot I got of him actually looking and after that he kept his head turned, most likely because I had told him to "Leave it! Making sure your Golden Retriever gets plenty of exercise is vital to its health and well-being. Physical exercise ensures your Golden Retriever has healthy muscles and bones, that its heart and lungs get stronger, and it helps maintain a healthy weight. However, for your Golden Retriever to be well-balanced, it also needs mental stimulation and socialization. Boredom in dogs can often lead to destructive behaviors. So, what are some good activities for Golden Retrievers? Good activities for Golden Retrievers incorporate physical exercise and mental stimulation and should include training and socialization whenever possible. Physical activities help burn excess energy and maintain physical health, while mental-focused activities aid in cognitive skills and problem-solving. The game also works on recall skills as a bonus. Fetch is simple and cheap. You throw it an item such as a tennis ball, frisbee, or practically anything your dog can comfortably carry, and your Golden gets it and brings it back. Or, if the weather is lousy, you can play a shortened version in the house. The tug game is widely recommended by most science-based trainers and animal behaviorists. Begin by showing your dog a toy that they like and that is suitable for the dog. You may have to really wiggle it and shake it around if your dog has never played before. The goal is to get their interest peaked, and movement usually does it. Every game has its rules, and this applies to a game of tug too. Your dog cannot make contact with skin or clothes, and you decide when the fun begins and ends. Rules for us humans are that no aggressive pulling is allowed, nor is pulling aggressively up at steep angles or side to side. The tug of war game is an excellent way for your dog to learn and reinforce skills such as let go, sit, and go-play commands. The tug game can be combined with fetch as well. Teach your Golden to let go and ask for a sit. Mixing it up keeps it more exciting and mentally stimulating. Follow the Leader Follow the leader is a great training game that teaches your dog to follow you while having fun. If your Golden goes right, you go left; if your dog runs ahead of you, you slow down; if your Golden slows down or stops, you run. The rule is that he follows you. It can be a quick activity to start or end a play or training session, and it works well as an add-on to other activities. I usually like playing follow the leader before a fetch game. Puzzles and Games Many pet stores and online retailers carry puzzle games and lick mats, so if your budget affords it, these can be fantastic options to keep your dog mentally stimulated. Puzzle feeders can be used with your kibble, while lick mats work well with peanut butter, yogurt, or dehydrated foods such as beef liver treats. All dogs need mental stimulation, especially higher intelligent dogs such as the Golden. Many games engage a Goldens brain and include anything from hiding treats in toys to commercial puzzle games. Or we put a treat or two in a muffin tin, put tennis balls on each hole, and the goal is for our Golden to find the reward. Or create a foraging box. Keep some boxes in various sizes, such as cereal boxes. Sprinkle some treats in each box and then place the smaller box inside a bigger one and those inside an even bigger one. Your Golden has to use its nose to locate the treats and must figure out how to get the goodies out. Kong toys work well also. You can put some loose kibble in there for your Golden to locate, or you can soak the kibble, put it inside the Kong and freeze it for the next day. Your Golden will need to figure out how to get the tasty reward out. You can use make-shift pylons any object will do , use Hoola hoops, small jump obstacles like cardboard boxes, stairs, brooms, rolled-up blankets, and whatever you think of. Teach your Golden to run through the obstacle with you. Have your Golden run-around, over, and under the obstacles. Find a hiding space. Someplace where your dog cannot see you, but your Golden should still be able to hear your when you call. Once you find the right spot, say behind a curtain or door, call his name. Your Golden will find you pretty quickly unless you are a great hider , but they love seeking you out and finding you. Another variation is using treats. You can do this activity indoors or, if you have a yard, then outdoors. Use cheese, boiled chicken, apples, or any high-value treat your dog loves. You may have to show them the first few treats, so they get the hang of the game, but they catch on quickly. Bubble Game Cheap, fun, and no training is required. Great for kids as well. Get a bubble blower. Blow bubbles. Your Golden Retriever will chase the bubbles and jump up, snapping at bubbles to break them. Just make sure the bubbles are pet friendly yes, they make bubbles for dogs , and off you go. You can use a PVC pipe, an old fishing rod, or a sturdy stick think hockey stick, eh. Attach a long rope or string, and now add a furry toy, a rag, or a dog toy, and you have a flirt pole. The flirt pole is excellent for physical activity and mental stimulation. Your Golden has to run, jump, and anticipate changes of direction and plan for what will happen next. It also benefits those dogs with a more innate prey drive by stimulating that instinct. The rule is, though, you must let your Golden catch the lure or toy on occasion. It also prevents frustration. Not allowing a dog to catch its toy is teasing and can cause behavioral issues. Once your Golden catches the lure, now you can transition into a game of tug. All handy things for your Golden to learn. And, the teaching moment is all wrapped up nicely in a fun play activity. Just remember, dog training is supposed to be fun, so keep it that way. It can be fun and still accomplish the goal at the same time. The best teachers know how to do both. Or teach your Golden an invisible boundary, so it stays out of the kitchen or stays back from the door. Not only are these complex skills a great way to invigorate the mind, but it teaches skills that benefit both them and you. Activities That Require Classes Obedience Training Formal obedience classes are a wonderful activity and one that I consider essential. It combines socialization, mental stimulation, and training. Your Golden gets to meet new dogs and people, learn basic commands, and do all this in a distracting environment. Obedience classes ensure your Golden gets a great foundation of obedience and manners while simultaneously building and strengthening communication between your Golden and you. You each must learn to work together as a team. Hold up. Are you looking for a good online training program for your Golden Retriever? I recently wrote an article comparing some of the most popular online dog training systems. Canine sports classes are especially suited for dogs with high energy or dogs with very ingrained instinctual drives like herding dogs. Scent Work Scent work training is excellent for dogs. Scent work is also great for fearful and reactive dogs as it teaches them to focus and be confident. Nose work starts by teaching your dog how to seek out treats and toys, kind of like puzzle games and hide and seek. Then it expands and increases in difficulty to entire rooms, outdoor areas, and vehicles. Scent detection is actually a competitive canine activity. If you and your dog have an interest, then competitive events are an option. Doggie DayCare Doggie daycare is great for puppies and older dogs alike. Just like children need to play with other kids their age to get exercise, mental stimulation, and to learn how to socialize — your Golden is no different. So, you get a day to relax or run errands. It also helps teach your Golden Retriever to be away from you, which can reduce separation anxiety. If you work and have your Golden in there every day, then you know your pup is getting exercised along with plenty of social and mental stimulation. This a tired pup — physically and mentally. A shout-out to his best friend Milo for the fun times. Strictly Outdoor Activities Swimming For this one, you need a body of water. Golden Retrievers are bred to retrieve waterfowl from lakes, and their coats are designed for the water. Golden Retrievers are very well adapted to tolerate cold because of their double coats, and they dry off quickly. The result? Goldens are ideally suited to the water and love to swim. Body of water includes lakes or ponds, pools, and even slow-moving rivers or streams. If swimming is done in a pool, be mindful of pool chemicals and chlorine. Give your Golden a good rinse after a pool swim. Did you know that overbathing can be bad for a Golden Retriever? Dock Diving Of course, with this one, you need both a lake and a dock. Once your Golden is comfortable with the water, just run and jump off the dock. Chances are your Golden will follow. Dock diving incorporates swimming plus diving plus fetch all rolled in one. Make sure you put a life jacket on them, though. Kayaking and especially canoeing are easier for your Golden, but paddleboarding will take training for the both of you. These activities can involve swimming too if you decide to take a dip with your Golden sometimes that may be unavoidable. However, the real benefit is mental stimulation new sights, sounds, and smells and the time you spend together. Hiking Hiking is an excellent activity for people and dogs alike. It usually incorporates inclines depending on the terrain and offers a host of other sights and sounds for your dog. Not all trails allow dogs, so check in advance to be sure. And if the trails do allow dogs, then most will require that you keep them leashed. Keeping your Golden on a leash is a good idea anyway since if you lose your dog in a thick brush or a forest, you may never get them back. Also, you want to be mindful of any encounters with small animals like squirrels or porcupines or bigger critters like bears. Just keep them leashed to be safe. Rocky and ungroomed, jagged trails can cause issues with their paws, so be alert to the type of landscape on the hiking path. Make sure to bring water and snacks for you and your dog. Also, throw a small backpack on and take some essentials just in case. Bring a first aid kit along at a minimum. Remove any you find and be thorough. Snowshoeing and cross-country skiing are not unlike walking or hiking in that it gets your Golden Retriever outdoors and trotting beside you. Usually, groomed trails or shallow snow is best, or your Golden may have difficulty navigating itself through the snow. Bike Riding Biking can be an excellent exercise for you and your dog if you have a well-behaved and well-trained Golden. You want your dog to trot beside the bike, which means you need to keep the speed reasonable. It would be best if you had excellent control of your dog, so training your Golden gradually with the bike beforehand is a good idea. You should also wear a helmet. Be very mindful of temperature in the summer; your Golden can overheat quickly. Bring water and snacks for your dog. If your Golden falls behind, then it may be tiring. Turn around and walk your Golden back home. Yes, you can over-exercise a Golden Retriever. Walking During walks, your dog is exposed to the world outside his home. He gets to experience various sights, sounds, smells, and environments, which mentally engage him. Walking is the foundational exercise for all puppies and dogs, which is no different for Golden Retrievers. Walking should be the staple exercise for your dog throughout most of its life. Dogs love to walk, and walking helps bond your dog to you. You may find your dog wants to stop frequently and check things out. A solution is to mix up your walking sessions. One that focuses on fast walking for exercise and another where your Golden gets time to smell and investigate his environment. One is more physical, the other more mental. Both are social. Running Running is a great cardio workout for both humans and dogs. However, refrain from running with your Golden before 14 to 18 months of age due to developing joints, muscles, and bones and the impact of running on those. And be sure to get a thumbs up from your vet first. Every so often, stop and ask your Golden to sit or change directions and vary the terrain. Keep it fun and your dog guessing. If running in the summer, be cautious of not overheating your Golden, so stick to cooler mornings or evenings and bring water for the both of you. The article details the age they can start, how much they can run, how fast and how far, and much more. Check it out here: Need a Running Partner? How About Your Golden Retriever? The dog has to press a spring-loaded pad to release the ball, catch it, and then bring it back to its owner by doing the course in the opposite direction. This is an excellent activity for developing speed, jumping, and sociability skills. Canicross With their innate love for running and the outdoors, Golden Retrievers are really cut out for canicross. No need for complicated obstacle courses: your dog just runs in sync with you. All you need to do is equip yourself with the right traction belt and you're good to go! This big dog loves all types of games, but if you really want to make them happy, choose one that appeals to their love for fetching things or their keen sense of smell. Here are some ideas for Golden Retriever games. Frisbee This is a favourite game for Golden Retrievers. Canine frisbee is a very simple game to set up and doesn't require the owner to be a great athlete. Just throw a frisbee and ask your pooch to fetch and bring it back to you. Hide and Seek An unmissable Golden Retriever game that calls on your dog's excellent sense of smell! This simple game consists of hiding one or more objects around the house or garden and letting your dog seek them out. Change more than just your pet food, change your philosophy. Games Golden Retrievers Like To Play One of the games Golden Retrievers like, such as swimming, makes them one of the most popular and famous breeds of dogs. They are extremely friendly and gentle dogs, great as family pets due to their gentle and tolerant nature with little children. My Golden Retriever is a great pal to my kids, loves to play for hours with them in a very fun, loving and playful way. It is awesome to watch your pet and your child having fun together and Golden Retrievers like playing games like hide and seek, fetching games and other chasing games. They are quite an enthusiastic breed, very smart and active dogs. Once tired, you will see them snuggling next to you or your child. Golden Retriever puppies love to play games and games are a great way to entertain them while teaching them lessons at the same time. Have a pocket full of little treats to along with your game plan and keep the games short, puppies have short attention spans. Of course with larger Golden Retrievers you can increase the length of time and degree of difficulty. You can increase the distance the more you play catch with him and the more he grows. Bonding Games Like Hide-n-Seek…ready or not here I come… A bonding technique for you and puppy is the hide-and-seek game, where you hide behind something in the room and then call him to find you. He will find you and when he does give him a big hug and another treat. Finding one of his own toys is a great way to teach him the names of his toys and retrieving them as you call them out. You can put them in another room and ask him to find them by name and bring them back to you, he will learn to sniff them out; his nose is good at that. Swimming is another good activity for your Golden Retriever as they just love the water, if you live near the water than taking him for a swim is easy for you. Your children will love to play under the hose with your dog so make it fun for both. By: Connie Glutyk. Golden retrievers are, for a multitude of reasons, one of the most popular dog breeds in the canine world. Whatever the case may be, one thing is normally true for any golden retriever: they absolutely love to play! They were named retrievers for a reason. Retrieving for them is like a game. It could be a ball in the backyard or a game-fowl on a hunting trip. Whatever it may be, they will happily fetch it and bring it right back for another round. They are particularly good at retrieving waterfowl, like ducks. Pools, lakes, rivers, and oceans are all fun places to bring your golden. Remember, start shallow and with heavy supervision. Time for Tug-of-War! Tug-of-war, much like fetch, is an absolute timeless classic. Playing tug is a great way to tucker out your golden. Something about the one-on-one competition draws them in and keeps them playing for hours. You can even play fetch with your tug toy instead of a ball and combine these two favorites in a singular, mind-bogglingly fun activity for your dog. Agility-Based Games Most golden retrievers are high-energy and active dogs, especially in their younger ages. You can probably imagine the stereotypical dog handler leading their k-9 partner through an agility obstacle course. That can be you! Most obstacles can be created with household items and a little DIY. For example, I got my dog to start jumping over a broomstick balanced on two stacks of books. Obedience-Based Games While you are working on ability games, you can also mix in some obedience style challenges. Having your dog spin, roll over, play dead and hold a treat on their nose are all excellent obedience games. When that becomes too easy, you can try any of your favorite commands at longer distances or in faster succession. Goldens Love a Good Puzzle Many golden retrievers are impressively intelligent. They like to use their smarts to solve problems. Ever have your golden figure out how to open up the backyard fence and take itself on a walk? Puzzle feeders are a great addition to keep around the house. Entertaining your dog with a puzzle feeder keeps them occupied both physically and mentally. Chewing While we are on the topic of eating things, we might as well talk about chewing. Golden retrievers, especially young ones, love to chew. When they get bored with one or decimate the squeaker on the inside, they can move onto a new one and keep playing. Depending on your dog, you may consider various types of chew toys: Stuffed squeaker animals Plastic chew toys Bones, antlers and hooves Having a surplus of chew toys around the house is a good idea if your dog likes to entertain itself. And some goes for bones or hooves; when they become too small, they can be a choking hazard. This makes them excellent at following scents. For that reason, golden retrievers have been used professionally to find contraband and even as avalanche search and rescue dogs. It can be as simple as hiding treats or toys around your home and allowing your dog to sniff them out. When they locate the toy or treat, you can praise them, and they will love you for it. That last thing they want is a bellyache. Hiking, Running and Cycling, Oh My! Golden retrievers absolutely love doing whatever their human is doing. This goes for when the human needs to exercise. Bringing your golden when you go out for a hike, jog, or bike ride is a great way to spread out the fun between you and your furry friend. Before You Unleash If you are going for a hike, make sure your dog is solid with verbal commands before considering taking them off-leash on the trail. And for cycling, start slow and with shorter distances. Always make sure you know the leash laws where you are, too. This can be a bit discouraging. However, clean-up can also be a game! Like the retrieving and scenting games from above, training your dog to clean up its toys after itself is a great way to incorporate a game into daily life. When they bring back their toys to home base, you can reward and praise them. Before you know it, your golden will be cleaning up after itself in no time. Conclusion There is no end to the myriad of games that golden retrievers like to play. Young or old, most golden retrievers love to spend their days doing fun activities. Their generally playful personality is one component as to why they are such popular dogs to own. Having these 10 games in your repertoire will do wonders for bonding with your beloved pup and getting them ample amounts of exercise. After all, a tired dog is a happy dog. Now get out there and go have some fun! Share this:.

We are overjoyed for you! Golden Retrievers are one of the most friendly and loving breeds…and lucky for you, one of the easiest to train. Golden Retrievers require a great deal of mental stimulation to avoid going about on their own or becoming frustrated. Their love for food is infinite. Prerequisites for training my Golden Retriever puppy? What age can I start to train my Golden Retriever puppy? Sounds like a good deal! We can only hope. What do I need to train my Golden Retriever? Say bye to that sticky, meaty feeling in your fingertips. A piece of non-slip vet bed or a soft mat: For a cozy bed, warm nights, and good dreams. Treats: The more smelly, the better. Two identical toys : Great for swaps! The name says it all…your Golden Retriever puppy will love retrieving, so identical toys will be great for all the games we have in store for you in the Zigzag Puppy training app. Of course, Golden Retrievers grow to be big dogs. How much exercise does a Golden Retriever need? A golden retriever needs 2 hours of exercise a day. What age is a Golden Retriever fully grown? Golden Retrievers reach adulthood at 3 years of age and are seniors by 8 years old. Though their height has been reached, their weight will still fill out and they will continue to mentally mature. What are Golden Retrievers bred for? Distinctly British, the 1st Baron of Tweedmouth developed the breed crossing his golden colored retrieving dog Nous with a Tweed Water Spaniel — these look similar to Irish Water Spaniels. The cross resulted in a dog that was comfortable being on land and water kind of like crocodiles , and robust enough to hunt goose, partridge and even deer. Do Golden Retrievers make good family pets? In fact, Golden Retrievers are one of the most loved dog breeds in the UK. The Kennel Club has a lot more good information and info about them. What does this have to do with how I train my Golden Retriever puppy? But there is a logic as to why knowing the context might help you train your Golden Retriever better: Golden Retrievers love to work. Commonly employed as Guide Dogs, they love having a job to do, which means they will adore training. Anyhow, they will be a breeze to train. They will also do almost anything for your soft words and approval — your praise will work just as well as treats. Because they are so gentle, they are a great fit for families with a variety of lifestyles and ages. They need a good amount of exercise; mental as well as physical. Let us rephrase — a hefty amount of exercise. Besides you and food, being in water is what they love the most! They have a very strong sense of smell, so retrieving or scent work games tend to be the biggest treat for most. Golden Retrievers are the social butterflies of dogs. They love most people, and are not discreet in showing it. You know how us Brits can be about politeness. That being said, make sure you also teach them the wonders of giving things up. It can lead to great things! But it can also be less helpful when they give you a love bite on your arm — give them a toy to carry instead. Shift to some play, and revisit training later — we want training to be associated with fun, and not something they begin to dread. Something to put treats in a treat pouch, bag, or pocket Golden Retriever Puppy Training Timeline 8 weeks to 2 years There are three developmental stages that new Golden Retriever owners will need to be aware of, and there are different things that you should teach your dog at each stage. These three stages are the puppy and socialization phase, the adolescent stage, and the stage that occurs between adolescence and adulthood. Here we will be breaking down what Golden Retriever owners should expect in each stage and what training they should introduce. The Puppy And Socialization Phase 8 weeks to 6 months The following things are what new Golden Retriever owners should start working on soon after they bring their puppy home. During this time it is important to establish a routine and set boundaries with your puppy. Additionally, socialization and introduction training is also crucial during this stage. Doing things like playing games and exploring together does not only establish trust between you and your dog but also helps you understand what your dog likes to do. This is handy information because it helps you to streamline the rewards that you use during training into being extremely rewarding for your puppy. During the first few days, you should also be establishing a routine with your puppy. This is very important because it can make things like potty training and having your puppy sleep through the night go much more smoothly. A great way to establish a routine is to feed your puppy their meals and take them for potty breaks at around the same time every day. Usually, when people do this, other parts of the daily routine like play and rest times also fall into place. Although this stage does include introducing your puppy to other people and dogs, there is more to it than that. Introducing your puppy to a wide variety of sights, sounds, and environments will prepare them for the things that they will encounter throughout their lives. Things like loud noises, children, fireworks, thunderstorms, and other new things can be quite common and scary to a dog, so introducing them to these things early on is essential. It is important to note that puppies can sometimes go through something called a fear period during this stage in their development as well. Even things like just hearing the sound of a car or the sight of a trash can could potentially frighten your dog during a fear period. It is important that puppy owners continue to socialize their puppy during their fear periods. However, it is best to closely monitor and control interactions with new people and other dogs to ensure that they are positive. Similarly, it is recommended that you turn things that are frightening to your dog into positive experiences during one of their fear periods. You can do this by giving your dog treats or toys when they are around things that make them feel nervous. If your dog will not take a treat or toy during one of these situations, then it may be best to seek some help from a professional dog trainer or animal behaviorist. This is because refusing to take food can be a sign that a dog has developed an extreme fear of something. Introduction To Grooming: Golden Retrievers are dogs that need to be brushed and groomed on a regular basis. As a result, it is best to desensitize your Golden Retriever puppy to being groomed as early as possible. Preferably, your Golden Retriever breeder has already started to introduce your puppy to being groomed before you have even brought them home. Still, it is best to get your puppy used to being brushed and bathed. Additionally, your puppy will need to get used to having their teeth brushed and getting their nails trimmed. Nails can be safely trimmed once a week, and bathing should be limited to about once a month for puppies of this age. Touch Desensitization: You will also need to get your puppy used to people touching them. This does not only include petting their bodies and heads, but also gently touching their ears, tail, and feet. This will not only make your dog more tolerant of people, but it will also prepare them for vet visits and grooming sessions. Potty Training: Preferably, potty training should be started as soon as you bring your new puppy home. The best way to introduce potty training at first is to take your puppy outside to use the bathroom on a schedule. If possible, starting out with taking your puppy out to use the bathroom every two hours is recommended, and as your puppy gets older you can slowly increase this amount of time. Having your puppy be fed on a schedule can help prepare you for when your puppy needs to go out as well. When taking your puppy out to use the bathroom, you should just have them go to the bathroom and do nothing else. This means that you should not engage in any playtime until your puppy has used the bathroom. It can also be helpful to have your puppy on a leash when going out for potty breaks, even if you have a fenced-in yard. This way they will not get distracted. If you cannot monitor your puppy and look for signs of them needing to use the bathroom, then crate training your puppy can help prevent them from having unwanted accidents. Handling Problematic Behaviors: Every puppy owner will encounter some problematic behaviors that they will need to work through. When it comes to Golden Retrievers, play biting, jumping, and destructive behaviors are the most common problems. When playing with a Golden Retriever puppy, it is always best to play with toys and not your hands. This will prevent them from learning to bite people when they are playing and to bite on a toy instead. When play biting does occur, correcting them with a no or a time out can teach them that biting people is something that you do not want. Additionally, if play biting is a frequent bad habit of your puppy, then you can simply stop playing with them and ignore them for a few minutes every time that biting occurs. Although a tiny Golden Retriever puppy jumping on you can be cute, a full-grown Golden Retriever jumping on everybody is not. As a result, it is best to teach your dog to sit and walk-up politely to people during greetings early on. You can do this by only allowing your puppy to greet others when they are calm and have four paws on the ground. Golden Retrievers also love to carry things around in their mouths, and all puppies love to chew on things. This is partly because it soothes pain when they are teething and partly because dogs simply find it to be fun to chew on things. As a result, chewing can become a real problem for some Golden Retriever puppy owners. During this developmental stage, it is a good idea to always have age-appropriate toys on hand for them to chew on. Basic Obedience Training: Now is also a great time to get started on some basic obedience training. You can do these things on your own, but joining a group puppy training class when your puppy has been fully vaccinated is also a fun way to get some training practice in. Here is a great list of basic obedience commands that you can start to teach your puppy. It's vital to kick-start the right training on time, and this simple guide on how to train a Golden Retriever puppy will help you with that. One of the most important things is to start the right training on time. This simple guide on training golden retriever puppies will help you with that. Read on for helpful tips. In many cases, breeders start training golden retriever puppies before they find their owner. This training can be crate training, potty training, and other behavioral training. Of course, this is not always guaranteed, especially if you are not getting your puppy from a breeder. The best time to start training is from 8 weeks of age. According to research, golden retriever puppies should not be separated from their mothers before then. If you are serious about training golden retriever puppies, you may need some supplies in addition to the time spent. These are listed below: Crate: If you want to crate training with your puppy, you will obviously need a crate. It is very important that this training equipment is at your house from day one. Leashes: There are indoor and outdoor leashes. You can choose them according to your goals. High-quality food: Consult your breeder or veterinarian about the appropriate food. If for some reason you need a change in the food field, pay attention to the gradation. Toys: Golden Retriever puppies have a lot of energy. You might want to buy them some chew toys. Bedding: If you buy a crate for your puppy, you need to have some bedding in it for convenience. Anyway, there are crates that come with something like this. Treats: These will be very useful during the training. Use them wisely and not excessively. Collar: If you get used to your Golden Retriever with a collar from day one, it will be beneficial later on. Brushes: This is one of the most important grooming tools. However, go gradually, in steps. The puppy needs to know the crate, and get used to it. Sessions should be longer and longer. This process will probably take a few months. However, it is worth dealing with. It is important that you devote as much time as possible to your Golden Retriever in the first few weeks. This will help with potty training. Here are some useful tips: Consider the tiny bladder of the puppies: Puppies are unable to hold their urine for long due to their small bladder. Therefore, until the end of the training golden retriever puppies, you need to pay close attention to their bathroom needs. However, it is not a bad idea to take your puppy out every hour to do his thing. With this, you can also avoid accidents and your goldy will learn to get rid of urine outside. Punishment: Excessive punishment will not result in successful training. However, a firm voice and talking can go a long way. Take out the poop: If your dog poops into the house, take it out to the yard. Animals perceive their own smells and associate this with the fact that they have to do their thing there. Do not reward with treats: Rewarding with a treat is a good idea for most training. But you should not reward your golden retriever puppy when they poop. While pooping is a good thing, there is a risk that your puppy will link the reward to pooping and will also poop in your house, hoping to get a treat. It is best not only with other dogs but also with humans. The good news is that it can be taught. Training a Golden Retriever puppy also includes training them not to jump on people. While it might seem adorable when they're little, it can become problematic as they grow into full-sized dogs. Begin this training by discouraging jumping from day one. Whenever your puppy jumps on you, turn your back and ignore them until all four paws are on the ground. Once they're calm and seated, reward them with attention and petting. This way, they'll learn that jumping gets them ignored while sitting gets them praised. Experts say there is a so-called social period for dogs. It lasts from 0 to 3 months. During this period, it is very important for the puppy to encounter as many stimuli, people and dogs as possible. Of course, slowly and gradually introduce your Golden Retriever puppy to other pets and people. This is when he will receive all the necessary vaccinations. Without these vaccines, dogs are exposed to very dangerous bacteria. Instead, during this time, let your puppy get acquainted with the various noises e. While learning about stimuli and experiences is very important, let your Goldy do everything at his own pace. You should not rush anything. Instead, you need to learn to pay more attention next time. In addition to the previously mentioned training, there's another aspect of training a Golden Retriever puppy that should not be overlooked - obedience training. Obedience training starts from the day you bring your Golden Retriever puppy home. Basic commands such as "sit," "stay," "come," and "down" are foundational for any dog's education. It is crucial to maintain a consistent and positive approach during this training. Training sessions should be kept short and fun to retain the puppy's interest. Treats, praises, or toys can be used as rewards for obedience. However, always keep in mind to reward immediately after the desired behavior, so your Golden Retriever puppy associates the reward with the correct action. A natural trait of dogs is that they like to chew everything. One of the best ways to do this is to buy as many chew toys as possible. Another useful thing is to teach your Goldy to bite gently. When he bites you, you should scream as if you were hurt. Another important thing about the Golden Puppy is teaching his name. You can achieve this with a lot of repetitions and treats. After all, walking should be a good experience. As with any other supplies, the leash should not be rushed. Introduce it to your dog gradually. Let her sniff and chew it. If your puppy gets used to it, you can try attaching it to the collar. Remember that the puppies are very excited about their first walk. Below I will share some useful tips about leash training: Do not use treats. The walk should be a reward itself. Start using marker words as soon as possible, eg steady, slow, stop, etc. Do not pull or yank the leash hard. This increases the risk of injury. Instead, pull back gently on your Goldy and pause the walk for a while. Only continue when your puppy has calmed down. Repeat these steps. Short minute walks, times a day, are best. Later, you can try longer minute walks. Lastly, recall is a critical part of training a Golden Retriever. A strong recall command can ensure your dog's safety in potentially dangerous situations. Start by training recall within a controlled, fenced-in area. As your puppy gets better at this command, gradually increase the distractions. Always remember to make recall a positive experience for your dog - use high-value rewards like their favorite treat or toy. The recall command should always result in something good, so your dog is more inclined to come when called. Training golden retriever puppies can sometimes be a challenge, but it is a unique experience. However, with diligence and perseverance, using the above tips correctly, you can achieve excellent results. This way, your new pup can become the best possible family member. The ease of training dogs varies across different breeds and the age at which they are adopted. Retrievers are typically released two months after birth and ready for training. Golden Retriever puppies are easy to train because of their high social intelligence, loyalty, and desire to please; they can understand commands and positive consequences in the first few weeks. However, if you do not teach them early on, you may need to work harder to get them to unlearn bad habits. We must remember that Golden Retrievers are acclimatized to working with people and are definitely people pleasers. They were bred as hunting dogs to retrieve shot-down waterfowl and are still used today as gundogs by sportspersons to retrieve game birds. They are also used as service, therapy, and search and rescue dogs. While training a Golden Retriever is easy, you have to start early. If the dog misses the early portion of the training, the later stages draw out perpetually. By now, you know the dangers of being too late in training your dog. But what if you are too early for the party? Not if you go by the standard release time. The average breeder releases a Golden Retriever at 8 weeks old. You should train your Golden Retriever at two months old because, by that stage, he has grown enough to take cues and is sufficiently self-reliant not to need his mother to survive. He will have already learned canine behaviors by interacting with his mother and littermates, but now he can continue to learn by association. Initial training should be kept light. As mentioned in the table, it is simply a period where you establish your authority as the source of commands and rewards. You can even go 2 weeks without giving any proper training to your freshly-released pup without impacting his progression. However, the 8 to week period from release to assimilation is important. A traumatic experience can have a negative and counter-productive effect during this period. Read further if you: Have a Golden Retriever older than seven weeks or plan to get a puppy Want an approximate schedule for training your pup Wish to train a dog using positive reinforcement and ethical training methods Want to commit to 1. At this point, you have to train your puppy to see you as an authority figure. Moreover, the puppy can only form the most obvious associations between command, response, and consequence, so it is crucial to adapt your training strategy accordingly. For example, you can start clapping if your pup runs toward you. Once he realizes that clapping and running toward you are linked, you can clap, and he will run toward you. For now, notice the following and set distinct anchors for each. Each anchor has to be hard to confuse with every other anchor. Clapping, for instance, is an anchor that can be confused with snapping your fingers. But it is hard to confuse clapping with whistling. This melts a lot of the resistance as you train your pup to understand and respond to more complex commands. Therefore, the first step should be encouraging your Golden Retriever to follow you. As you may know, dogs evolved from wolves, and wolves follow the pack leader usually a parent. Delaying gratification is easier for grown dogs. Young puppies get tired too quickly and spend most of their time sleeping. So if your puppy follows you, reward him with affection, hugs, and appreciation. You need to build a positive reinforcement loop and let your dog establish a connection between following you and receiving a pleasant experience. When your puppy knows that following you results in rewards, you can make the act of following you slightly more challenging. Things you can do may include sharp turns and sudden changes of pace. Lower Socializing Barriers Golden Retrievers are the definition of social beings. Still, their appearance and the love they receive can keep them from becoming completely asocial. But why make socialization difficult when you can facilitate it early in their lives? Visiting friends and family is one way to go about it. You can also spot a dog park and carry him there. Remember that your pup is still learning to follow directions and walk with you. You cannot expect him to cover long distances. Golden Retrievers are bundles of energy, and it would take living in a castle for one to become agoraphobic. Seeing the outdoors as soon as they are ready to take block-long walks is healthier for their social development. Start Potty Training You might wonder how long you have to wait before your Golden Retriever puppy is ready for potty training. Quite simply, your Retriever is ready for potty training the day you bring him home. Cordoning it off and adding a small fence can help him identify it more easily. Next, you need a potty training schedule, such as first thing in the morning, after mealtimes and play, and hourly for young pups. Moreover, many owners use dog crates to help with house training and I highly recommend you do this too. The earlier you discipline your Golden Retriever , the less harsh you need to be with him as he grows up. Biting is one of the behaviors that incur severe penalties for dogs. Golden Retrievers, fortunately, develop a soft mouth and are less likely to administer harsh bites. Still, nibbling must be discouraged so that kids, other pets, and your friends can be safe around your puppy. If you have ever given silent treatment to your spouse, you know it takes intelligence to know that you are in a timeout. So a timeout for a 2-month-old Retriever might not be the right punishment because he might not understand why he is in one. Often, an untrained Retriever puppy might snatch at a treat. After that, you can withhold the second treat and close off your body language. Follow up using positive reinforcement by rewarding the correct behavior with a treat. Your Golden Retriever will quickly learn that displaying good behavior reaps nice things. Puppies need to learn their bite inhibition soft-mouth by continuing the excellent work their mother and siblings taught them. Learn Bite Inhibition Training! Teach Patience You must use your best judgment when training your dog to be patient. Generally speaking, your Golden Retriever will be mature enough to learn self-control by the tenth week. How to Train a 3-Month-Old Golden Retriever Puppy Once you have established your authority and set initial anchors, it is time to progress the training of your Golden Retriever puppy to the next stage. Four weeks of light training is sufficient for setting anchors and establishing associations. That makes the 3-month mark ideal for slightly more complex commands. You can use a clicker or a whistle to teach your puppy to assume the natural heel position. He will regress to walk behind you. He already knows how to sit and stand, and you have to use the same method you used for the heel position and command to teach your Retriever how to sit or stand on command. The method is simple. The same applies to other position commands. Since your Retriever can tell words apart, he can go into different positions based on the words you say. The anchoring process involves saying something or making a specific sound while your dog is busy holding a certain position or acting a certain way. Now is the time to start saying the words you have associated with his actions in order to inspire said actions. Where you previously whistled when your Retriever ran towards you, now you must whistle so he begins his run. This is the start of his Golden Retriever recall training. It is possible that your Retriever does not respond to the commands. There will be back and forth where you will keep saying words while the dog organically acts. After a few attempts at reinforcing the commands, you can test the triggers again. So avoid forcing your dog to be perfect on the first few attempts. This helps him be social and get close to them. He must learn to be safe and social around strangers too. After all, he has to go on walks without picking fights with people, no matter how friendly Golden Retrievers are known to be. Slowly exposing him to crowds can improve his social tolerance. The less quick he is to bark at strangers, the kinder they will be to him. This triggers a positive feedback loop where he is adored for being social, which encourages him to be more social. Studies have shown that separating a puppy from mom and siblings before that time may lead to behavior problems later on. The good news is that you can start training your baby golden retriever as soon as he is home with you. Up until your puppy is 6 months old you should focus your attention on 3 main things: Golden Retriever Potty Training This may seem obvious but potty training problems are one of the main reasons dogs are surrendered at shelters. This link will take you to a step-by-step guide on potty training and crate training a golden retriever puppy. Socialization As a dog trainer I get asked many questions about dog behavior and training. In this photo Samsom is being socialized to babies and also to people putting their hands in his food bowl. Always add something yummy! Unfortunately, this period is very short and closes at 3 months of age. This means you have about 4 weeks to socialize your puppy to people of all sizes, genders, colors, ages, with costumes, hats, umbrellas; dogs of all sizes, colors, ages; cars, buses, trucks, loud noises, water, hair trimming, nail trimming, etc. Take your pup to a golden retriever training and socialization class that uses only positive methods. The first four weeks with your new golden retriever pup should be the busiest ones, follow this link for a detailed list and guide on how to socialize your new baby dog. It is natural and completely normal. The good news is that you can teach them to control the pressure they make with their mouth until mouthing turns into soft kisses. Follow this link for a how-to-guide. Playing with a puppy's mouth is a great way to teach him to how control his teeth. Finally, you can also start golden retriever training obedience commands, since puppies can learn very fast many things but you need to concentrate your attention on the three topics above, because they are key factors to help your puppy become a friendly and social dog, one you can trust and trusts you. Teaching your kids to train your Golden Retriever puppy is a grat way for them to bond. Sit and stay! Do not give up. Then repeat 3 more times. This is classic adolescence behavior and may start happening when your golden is between months. Just like humans, dogs also have an adolescence period, and just like humans, they like to test boundaries. During this time it is very important that you continue training basic obedience commands: Take your golden retriever dog to an obedience class that uses positive methods only! Updated: March 2nd, This article contains affiliate links. Read the full disclosure here. So which is best? What is the right age to start training a Golden Retriever puppy? This advice traditionally came from the trainers of working dogs who quite rightly felt it best to leave a puppy to be a puppy, let it grow some and become stronger before starting formal training. It was very physical with the use of corrections and physical punishments and aversives very common. The accepted idea was that it was cruel to be so physical with a very young puppy and so training was delayed until 6 months old or so. But there are so many gentle, positive reward based training methods today that physical corrections and aversives are almost completely unnecessary. So waiting for 6 months to start training is no longer essential. From the moment you get your puppy, they will be watching and learning from you. And much, much more besides. A puppy at 8 weeks knows nothing of life and learns everything from you at an amazing pace, all day every day. So you are training your 8 week old puppy whether you think you are or not. Why not start a little basic obedience or trick training as well? For a variety of reasons, the best age to start training your Golden puppy is as soon as you get them at 8 weeks of age. Puppies soak up knowledge and skills like sponges in their first few months, why not take advantage to teach essential life skills as soon as possible? If you wish to take your puppy everywhere you go, friends and shop owners will want you to have a modicum of control over your puppy while in their premises. Behaviors are being developed all the time in your puppy so you should try to influence good ones and prevent bad ones. Training is quality time you and your pup spend together, forming a bond and strengthening your relationship which is good for everyone involved. Modern training techniques like clicker training and shaping are very positive and fun ways to train that will cause no stress to your puppy and can achieve great results. But if they live indoors with you and your family, are taken through town and into other peoples buildings, then you will definitely want to be able to keep them under control. So starting training early is pretty much essential and will be a massive help to you. Keep training sessions very short, just 2 or 3 minutes long a few times per day. Their attention spans will be incredibly short and you do not want them getting bored and starting to dislike training. Only train simple commands and try to set them up to win and do things correctly. Frequent failure will cause your puppy to start dreading training instead of enjoying it. So keep it simple. In real time, you get to see what you should be teaching your puppy as they grow through all the ages and stages from an 8-week old pup to a well-behaved, good-mannered, obedience trained and confident adult dog. The course is an opportunity to see a professional dog trainer raising a puppy on video, with every single step, every milestone and problem encountered — and solved — along the way, filmed for you to follow along with. Check it out! You should start crate training, house-breaking, bite-inhibition and socialization from the moment you get them home. But Golden Retrievers are such intelligent dogs that they can learn a whole variety of simple commands and tricks while still very young. You can teach your puppy: Sit. Paper training Constant Supervision Umbilical cord training Most people find that a combination of two or more methods works best. Crate training. Crate training offers numerous and continuous benefits throughout the life of your dog. As a tool for house training, it enables you to prevent mistakes and promote positive experiences within your home. It also gives you and your puppy a much-needed break from the stresses of training and constant supervision. Constant supervision. To avoid house-training mistakes, you have to constantly watch your puppy. Because just one mistake will create a major setback for your pup and it only takes seconds for them to have an accident. Paper training. While teaching your puppy to toilet in the house may not seem like an ideal choice, I use paper training when my pups have almost no bladder control until around 8 to 10 weeks of age. I always recommend avoiding paper training if possible. It makes training your pup to toilet outside harder, and it sends a confusing message to your puppy. They will have fewer opportunities for mistakes, which will create more positive experiences. This will allow for a faster and cleaner road to success when house training, and as an added benefit, your puppy will develop impeccable house manners a lot more quickly. Dogs will instinctively keep their den clean. Start by restricting your puppy to just one room of your home. When they are reliably keeping that clean, you can slowly expand the area where your dog is allowed. Each part of your home is a separate place to your dog. Not only will this speed up the house training process, but it will also reduce the number of accidents and the number of times you have to deep clean your carpets. Who can argue with that? What and How You Feed Your Pup is Incredibly Important Not all dog food is created equal, and what you feed your puppy is one of the most important decisions you will make regarding the care of your pup. This decision has a huge impact on house training, and the overall health of your dog. For more information about how food and water choices affect house training, check out this detailed article: This article will help you navigate around the world of dog food and how it relates to house training. They will be happier, easier to train, and more relaxed because they will know what to expect from you. A routine should include set times for eating, training, exercise, and toileting. As for house training, a schedule will make things easier for your puppy and for you. Conversely if you feed your puppy randomly throughout the day, they will defecate just as randomly. When your puppy is young, food travels quickly through their digestive system. As they grow, the digestive process takes longer and longer. If you stick to a schedule with your puppy, you can count on them using the toilet on a pretty regular basis. They will usually have to poop three to six times a day, but their urination habits might be harder to figure out. Plan on taking your puppy out to their designated bathroom spot on a consistent schedule based on their needs. Every puppy will be different. This will give you ample opportunity to praise your puppy for doing the right thing, which is a huge benefit to teaching the right habits. Do these strict routines seem like too much to handle? We all have a life to live outside of house training — your best is good enough. Keeping and following a written schedule may seem excessive, but for very little extra effort, the results are phenomenal. Try to feed them every four hours at the same time every day. Schedule the first meal of the day based on whatever time you wake up, and adjust the rest of the meals accordingly. Meals should be spaced eight to twelve hours apart. A note on drinking water: Your puppy should always have fresh drinking water available. Because drinking too much or too little water is a sign of health problems, you should monitor how much your pup drinks in a day. Your pup will usually have to go outside after any physical activity. If you schedule these bouts of playtime, exercise, or training, you will encourage predictable potty times as well. Schedule these activities to fit your schedule, just try to do them at the same time every day while your pup is learning. As your day progresses, jot down whenever your puppy uses the toilet, and what activity they were doing beforehand. Make note of when and where they have accidents in the house, and what activities they were doing before the accident. Lastly make note of all the times that you brought your dog outside, but they refused to go. As you get to know your pup, you will start to see pottying patterns that will help you and your puppy avoid mistakes in the future. This will look different for every puppy, but in general, you can start to stretch out the time between bathroom breaks about five minutes every three or four days. By the time your pup is five or six months old, they should be using the toilet every four hours during the day. Choosing and Using the Designated Bathroom Spot To make house training easier for both you and your puppy, you should choose a designated toilet area in your yard. A single bathroom area is much easier to clean than your whole yard too! Choose a spot that you can keep clean. An area with tall weeds might seem like a good idea at first, but if you neglect the spot for too long, your dog will refuse to go there. Taking Your Puppy to The Bathroom Spot In a perfect world, you would take your puppy to their designated spot, where they would empty themselves quickly and completely on command, and be ready to move on. This can be a reality most of the time , provided you follow these tips when using the bathroom spot. Use a cue word. When your pup is young, you should use the cue word whenever they use the toilet in the proper spot. When they are older and understand the word or phrase, you can say it when you want them to do their business, which will lead to faster results. Keep your puppy on a leash when toileting. Be boring, and just hold the leash until they start to go. If you get too excited when using your cue word, your puppy might not finish, and will end up emptying inside your home. Say the cue word once, and stand still while they finish up. A what? You may want to keep food rewards to a minimum when your pup is young. Remember, what goes in, must come out. I recommend staying out for up to five minutes. If your pup responds to your cue word, you can say it every thirty seconds or so. Then, bring them back to the designated spot and try again. Do not let them wander unattended — they may decide to sneak off and use your carpet. After ten minutes, head back out to your spot for another go.

Bulldog Boxers need more than an owner; they need a boss. A Bulloxer may have more energy than it can handle. They can get super rowdy, jumping and running around. These dogs may not get along with other larger dogs, so if you have others in your household or plan on having multiple dogs in your house, this breed may not be for you. Regular teeth cleaning is essential. Ideally, this should be done every day. But begin with brushing as often as possible— some dogs hate this! Clean them out once a week with a cotton ball and dog-specific ear solution to avoid wax buildup, which can cause infection. They could easily break which can not only be quite painful but also cause infection. Playful Exercise Needs Bulloxers are energetic dogs who need minutes of active play a day to maintain their strong, athletic builds. I want to note that large-chested dogs are prone to a serious and deadly condition called bloat, usually brought on from too-quickly eating large amounts of food or too much exercise right after eating. The Food-loving Dog Diet A full grown Boxer Bulldog mix needs about cups of dry food a day, split between meals. These dogs are prone to joint issues, to make sure to pick a dog food rich with vitamins and both chondroitin and glucosamine. These dogs are prone to obesity, so stick to a strict feeding schedule and keep snacks to a minimum, with a healthy balance of food and exercise. Boxers have specific needs, so it may be best to feed a Boxer-specific diet. Are they healthy dogs? Boxers are prone to major health risks like cancer prevalent also in Bulldogs and Epilepsy. Bulldogs have their own impressive list of health risks. Bulldogs are susceptible to allergies and various skin issues, like eczema. There are plenty of loyal, healthy dogs deserving of good homes. Breeder options if you must If you absolutely must buy from a breeder, I recommend doing a great deal of research beforehand and asking the right questions— many breeders are just disguised puppy mills. Some questions to ask a potential breeder are: What are your adoption application procedures and requirements? Where do you get your dogs? What are your health screening procedures? Who is your working veterinarian? What are your follow-up procedures and requirements after adoption? What kind of follow-up resources will you offer me? How many times will you or have you bred mom and dad from this litter? And Bulloxer litter sizes are typically adorable little puppies. This is mainly due to the array of health issues from its Bulldog parent. They can weigh pounds and stand at about inches. The breed is so rare that there is little information about them, but their lifespan is years. Boxer Victorian Bulldog mix — The victorian Bulldog was specifically bred to have a healthier Bulldog breed, which turned out to be a huge success. Comment below! With a background in animal science, dog training, and behavior consulting, her hands-on experience and extensive knowledge make her a trusted source for dog owners. When not writing or leading the K9 Web content team, Cess can be found volunteering at local shelters and participating in dog-related events. Leave a Comment. These loving dogs with a charming disposition might get destructive when separated from their family for a prolonged period. Because of their inherent alertness and courageous nature, the Boxer-American Bulldog mix is always aware of their surroundings. They can be suspicious of strangers and become aggressive to unfamiliar people only when they are perceived as threats. These dogs attain maturity slowly and may behave like boisterous puppies for some years. They are usually patient with children as well as small dogs and puppies. However, they may have trouble getting along with large adult dogs. Care Exercise Being very playful and exuberant, the Bulloxer is always active indoors. To satisfy its need for exercise and keep its muscles toned, take your pet for long walks, play fetch, or get it involved in agility, flyball, and other dog sports. Grooming As it is a light shedder, its coat does not require much grooming. Weekly brushing using a rubber grooming-mitt or bristle brush will help keep its hair under control. Bathe your Bulloxer only when needed. Trimming its nails once a month and daily brushing its teeth are some of the other grooming needs. Health Problems Although the Bulloxer is generally a healthy and physically active breed, some dogs may get affected by a few health issues. These include hip dysplasia, hypothyroidism, epilepsy, bloating, intestinal problems, heart conditions, and cancer. Training Clicker training: Since the Bulloxers might be headstrong by nature, using harsh methods to make them obey to commands could induce behavioral problems. They tend to respond better to clicker training, which is a simple method of training based on positive reinforcement techniques. Follow a click-treat-click-treat pattern so that your dog can associate the noise of the clicker with a reward. Make sure that the clicker is held out of sight. House training: Establish a regular schedule so that your Bulloxer puppy learns when to play, to eat, and to potty. Since a pup can control its bladder hours, you should take it frequently to a specific spot outside, where it can eliminate. Feeding An adult Bulloxer needs cups of dry dog food a day. Both of these are highly coveted breeds, recognized by the AKC with pedigrees and papers. Also, take a look at the facilities to gauge how well the puppies have been treated. Try to meet the parents of your pup too if you can. They can tell you a lot about the future of your puppy. Boxers were originally used for dog fighting, and they even got their name from the way they swing their front paws, which looks similar to a boxer throwing punches. The Bulldog is a brave beast of a dog that was originally used in bull baiting. They were so tough that they could even take down full-sized bulls, a feat that few other creatures could accomplish. Today, both breeds have become much calmer, which is why they make such great companions and guard dogs. A lot of that toughness remains though, and it makes for very athletic dogs. They only shed lightly and need very little grooming overall. They Can Become Destructive When Bored Bulldoxers are highly athletic dogs with above-average levels of intelligence, a mixture that often results in destructive behaviors when left alone. Your Bulloxer will need some mental and physical stimulation to prevent them from getting bored. Once your Bulloxer gets bored, you might come home to find the backyard full of deep holes or your couch chewed up into a million pieces! Make sure to exercise your Bulloxer plenty and keep them mentally engaged to avoid these destructive behavior patterns. This is a very loving and loyal breed that will want to stand guard, keeping the family safe. Are These Dogs Good for Families? They know how to be gentle with smaller creatures, including the children of their family. They tend to get along very well with pets of all types, even small dogs and cats. Its chest is broad and thick, and the head is in a square form. This hybrid has a short muzzle with a slight underbite. It can come in different colors or a combination of colors. These dogs are very energetic, playful, and loving but may also be stubborn at times. It is very loyal to and protective of its owner and will do anything to protect them from harm. You will have to show it a lot of love and affection for you to get the same from it. Although they are generally very friendly with others, you will have to train them consistently and socialize them early. If not properly socialized, they may become aggressive to those they think are threats. They enjoy playing around with their owners so it would be best to bring them out to do exercises from time to time. It needs to spend its energy on physical activities, or else they can become destructive at home. Never let them get bored or leave them all alone in your house because you might have to clean up a lot of destroyed objects when you get back. They are also prone to suffer from separation anxiety. Bulloxers are quick learners, but when your Bulloxer becomes stubborn, you will have to establish your dominance on it to make it listen to your commands. It is very strong-willed, so you have to be very confident when you are dealing with it in training. One thing you have to know about is that this hybrid often produces sounds and smell from multiple orifices on their body. Bulldog Combined with Boxer Puppies for Sale If you are sure that a Bulldog Boxer Mix is the right dog for you, then you have to find a reliable and reputable breeder. Nowadays, it is tough to find a breeder that you can fully trust. It is highly essential to get your puppy from a legitimate breeder since the way they were treated and raised to that point may have a significant impact on its personality, behavior, and as well as its health. There are thousands of breeders all over the globe, but only a few thousands of these are trustworthy. In selecting a dog breeder, you have to assess and analyze a lot of factors. You should visit their facility and see the space in which the dogs are kept in and check out what kind of food they are feeding the dogs. Try to assess the care and attention the breeders put into both the parent dogs and the puppies. You make sure that the breeders are knowledgeable about the hybrid, Boxer combined with Bulldog. There is no strict schedule that you have to follow. You only need to bathe your Bulldog Boxer when they are dirty. It is also not good to shower them often since it will affect the natural oils they have on their skin. Make sure to wipe its ears from time to time. Bulldog Combined with Boxer Health Problems Overall, a Bulloxer is quite a healthy crossbreed for its size and is not likely to suffer from many health issues. However, they are prone to obesity, which is why you have to regulate their food intake. A few Boxer Bulldog dogs have been known to develop different kinds of cancer, but it is rare for this to happen. Although they are not inclined to contracting many diseases, it is still essential to bring your pet to the vet frequently to have a general check-up. Here is a list of common canine ailments that they may suffer from throughout their lives: Hip Dysplasia — This is a common occurrence in dogs of this size. Because they are heavy, their joints have a tougher job in supporting their bodies. This condition will bring your pet a lot of pain, which is why you can opt for your Bulloxer to get surgery to correct it. Bloat — The cause of this disease is unknown. As soon as your Bulloxer exhibits symptoms such as shortness of breath, bring him to the vet immediately. Epilepsy — This term is used to describe multiple episodes of seizures. The most common cause of seizure in a dog is idiopathic epilepsy, which is usually a genetical predisposition, but there is no exact cause known. Your pet may not feel pain during an epileptic episode but will feel confused and may panic. Try to observe your dog, and if it has more than one seizure per month, then you have to get treatment from a veterinarian. Boxer Bulldog Mix Food Requirements The Boxer Bulldog is a larger than average dog, and it will require three to four cups of dry dog food daily. Try to avoid feeding your pet one big meal and instead divide the amount of dog food into two separate meals because Bulloxers are prone to bloating. Make sure that you give it dog food of high quality and one that contains all the nutrients it will need in a day. Remember to check all the ingredients in the dog food before purchasing them. Choose the product that has nutritional additives such as vitamins and minerals to keep your pet healthy. Since this crossbreed is likely to suffer from joint issues and pain, try to find food that has chondroitin and glucosamine. Do not buy products that contain unknown meat-meals or byproducts and those that contain various unnecessary additives like dyes. These dyes usually trigger food allergies of the dogs. It also contains different kinds of healthy fruits and vegetables such as pear, spinach, green, carrots, and blueberries. Nulo Adult Salmon and Peas This dog food has deboned salmon, turkey meal, and chicken meal as its protein source. This product leaves out any ingredient that may trigger allergies. It also does not have any grains, corn, wheat gluten, soy, artificial additives, colors, or flavors. It provides a balanced diet for all dogs. Also, it does not contain any soy or fillers, such as grain and gluten. You would not have to worry about your dog missing any nutrition because this dog food has all the nutritious ingredients that a Bulldog Boxer needs. Bulldog Boxer Mix Exercise Requirements Because this hybrid is very playful and enthusiastic, they will become very energetic inside the house, which is why you need to allow it to spend its energy outside through physical activities such as walking, jogging, or running. It loves stimulating its brain, so try to have them go through obstacles set up in your backyard from time to time. Your Bulloxer will need at least minutes of exercise per day. Be careful not to overwork and exhaust your pet because it might have breathing problems. You can utilize different types of toys and kinds of activities. Tennis balls are one of the toys that Bulloxers enjoy playing with the most. They love running around and fetching these balls, but after a couple of times of throwing, your arm will get very worn out. This device allows you to play with your pet companion for an extended period without wearing out your muscles. Boxer combined with Bulldog dogs have no problems with playing by themselves. Although they want you to participate in their playtime, they are still happy getting preoccupied with a toy. This toy is perfect for when you are suddenly too busy to play with your furry friend physically. It is a very sturdy ball and also glows in the dark, which makes it very attractive to your Bulloxer. This product is shaped like a football and is perfect for a game of fetch. It has deep ridges, which make it easy for dogs to pick up and carry. Your pet may play with this toy in the pool since it floats in water. Also, it comes in bright colors, thus, increasing its visibility. Boxer Combined with Bulldog Training Your Boxer Bulldog Mix dog is generally quick to train since it is smart and a fast learner, but they may, at times, be stubborn. Bulloxers have an independent trait, so they will do whatever they want to do if they feel like you are less confident. When you are dealing with this hybrid, you have to establish your dominance throughout the training session. There are two essential pieces of training that you have to do with your Boxer Bulldog, namely: Clicker Training. It utilizes positive reinforcement techniques. Researchers have proven that this method works exceptionally well for Bulloxers. Because Bulldog Boxer dogs are sometimes headstrong, harsh training techniques will not work and would bring about bad behavior. You should follow a click-treat-click-treat pattern so that your dog will understand that the sound of the clicker is associated with getting a reward. Do not let the pet see your clicker. House training. You have to establish a schedule for your pet to play, eat, and to go potty. This training is essential to maintain peace inside the home. Boxer Crossed with Bulldog and Families Bulloxers are excellent family dogs because they are very affectionate and very protective of their owners. They have a high sense of awareness of their surroundings and can be aggressive when they perceive something as a threat. This piece of information is vital to those who are looking for guard dogs. They are playful and enthusiastic, which is why they will also get along with children. Usually, these dogs are very patient with kids, but you might not want to leave them alone with very small offsprings. If you ever decide on getting a Boxer Bulldog mix as your furry companion, expect to feel more warmth and happiness in your household and your life. American Bullboxer Description The Bulloxer is not a purebred dog. It is a cross between the Boxer and the American Bulldog. The best way to determine the temperament of a mixed breed is to look up all breeds in the cross and know you can get any combination of any of the characteristics found in any of the breeds in the hybrid. It is very common for breeders to breed multi-generation crosses. She loves to camp, hike, swim and sleep! At 6 months old he was about 65 lbs. Great personality and very smart. Too smart if you ask me. His father is a registered American Bulldog who weighs about lbs. I think he can do it! I know he makes me laugh. His dad is a lb. American Bulldog and his mom is a lb. He loves to play catch and he runs faster than any other dog at the dog park. He is very loving and has a sweet demeanor but definitely has a lot of energy and is a bit hard-headed. He is a wonderful addition to our family. He's still the fastest dog I've ever seen, and has grown to have the best personality. He watches television with us and plays with everyone friendly to him any chance he can get. All he wants out of life is the thrill of playing in the shallow waters and cuddles. All small breeds.Japanese Chin, Cockapoo and a teacup Shih Tzu. And I have 2 small kids. She is around 55 pounds or more in this picture. We just love Roxy. She is a sweetheart.
